Oh I see this has been addressed before, thanks Void. Well I have gotten into a lot more different types of music since I've had song ID, including german goth rock & even some African singers. Seems like 3rd party viewers just slipped it in w/o any trouble. I guess big corps have to have many meetings first lol.

I love music & SL is a big part music for me & I'm sure many others. So many viewers have it. Don't understand why its not on SL viewer yet. For that reason, seems a bit archaic.

Well I've expressed my concerns. I see Terrence Linden did post again addressing the concerns of many. Don't ya'll think at this point your beating a dead horse by further commenting? Obviously teens will be coming to the grid and its up to the lindens, per their decision, to work out the details. Who knows, by then SL might be sold to Microsoft or whoever & it'll be their responsibility to deal with it.

Okay I have been in D/S and SL Gor related rp and situations roughly about three years. And I've seen for myself women hoodwinked and taken advantage of because they did not have the maturity level to handle those types of situations, no matter what age they really are, sometimes WELL over 21. And let's not put it all on men, I've seen them broken and torn apart as well by situations gone bad. But anyway, we can say to this, well they're adults, its part of life's lessons. But there is a law-given responsibility here for these things to NOT happen with children...anyone below 18. I mean soon, anyone can go into a PG sim and try to make friends with a teen, for positive or negative reasons. And it wouldn't be so hard for someone looking to do this to lure them into other situations. And why should an adult, who just wants to be with other adults in an adult venue, have to worry about this? Kids should just be with kids until they aren't a kid anymore, that's enough trouble right there.

Another thing I just thought of, what if an adult becomes friends with a teen and a teen being immature or of vindictive nature cries foul of an adult, gets the parents involved, goes to the lindens with accusations etc and so on...what a mess! For that reason even though there are some more mature acting teens out there, like some of the ones in this very thread, I would veer away from them. I will especially be much more attentive to the maturity rating of a sim before tping into it. I totally and adamantly agree with Midnight that a teen should have some sort of label attached to his avi as well. I really, really, believe teens should be in their own space. There's just too much going on in the media about negative online situations between teens and adults and adult situations to see this as a good idea.

Ok I've been seeing this in more than a couple posts about teens already on the grid under false pretences- "We all know, that there is thousands of teens here already without this even happening. We all know, that this has been going on for years." Yeah they have been we all know that, but what does that mean? Nothing could really be done about it, we can't know who's behind the screen. If the lindens found out, there were o.u.t. That's not an argument of any kind. Problem is, now we will know, its a recognized factor and with that comes responsibility and repercussions if said responsibilities are not met. Frankly I don't want my SL changed lol to accomodate these changes & I honestly believe that teens would be better off in their own space of some kind away from any influence of an over 18 nature. Then no one has to worry about a situation of any kind and specific laws governing children.

Well you can mute annoying people. But Loydin reminded me of something I've been thinking about. I belong to a few freebie/fashion groups & we do veer off subject quite a bit and chat about anything and everything, including sexual content. Sort of happens as it does when you are with friends, you joke around, talk about many things. I notice 2 of them are listed at PG content right now. So there will have to be stricter policing of chat content or the maturity level will have to be changed. I guess personally I don't like the fact that it won't be fully an adult playground anymore. There will be more rules, HAVE to be stricter policing of the said rules, and MORE muting. Part of SL for me, is being free of the rules of RL. Lol I look at Marielle's post, point # (2) "Now, i'm pretty sure that they'll closely look that the allowance of minors will comply with the corresponding laws," which fits right in with my policing stand.

Well I think its good thinking of the Lindens on behalf of the younger teens. Regarding the 16-17 year old, I'm not looking forward to it. I was in Magika Hair today for just a bit, with some v immature people & it only reminded me what we'll be dealing with even more when they come on board at the beginning of the year. It'd be nice if they could have their own area too. I see a future of gestures galore lol.
