  1. Check your keywords(or post them here and someone will help you out with them). It's almost always the culprit. The "secret list of no-no words" LL has is not known to us, but it does have some pretty odd(and not even remotely adult rated) words on it. It's most likely one, or more, of your keywords. Happens all the time. You can post your descriptions here for folks to read too, because again those words might be in your description. Or rather, the words we believe(through trial and error) could be the culprit might be in there. There have been some pretty odd discoveries that when removed lo and behold the item is no longer adult/mature.

If there are too many products in that folder your SL Inventory may not be able to show the products that have been received. If you have purchased the products through Marketplace remember to submit a Failed Delivery Report through the Support Portal so that the items can be redelivered to you. Been hittin that turkey day liquor a bit too hard, a bit too early eh? You-as in linden labs-have suggested a myriad of things customers can do to better prevent failed deliveries and even "recover" things that have seemingly gone missing....but I have got to say this is the FIRST time I have ever seen anyone tell someone to clean their objects folder. Or, for that matter, that the objects folder can have too many things in it. I actually know the lab's stance on "too many things in my objects folder" because I once asked that question quite specifically(back when I was having some inventory issues on another av). Their answer "there is no limit". So, uh, yeah, about that liquor......
  3. Phil Deakins wrote: It has bulk upload, or at least it's in the uploads options. I've never seen an "align textures" anywhere and I'd guess that copy rotation, position and size are Phoenix extras? (Don't answer that. I have seen them - just never even tried to use them. And there are a couple of "aligns" in the Phoenix's Textures tab but I've no idea what they do). I know that the so-called radar is a Phoenix extra, and I do find it useful. Come to think of it, copy UUID is a Phoenix extra that I also find useful. So I guess I'll continue with Phoenix for now and just use the V3 for editing mega-prims. You can use Phoenix to edit/create mega prims too. It's a setting under preferences-phoenix-build, there's a checkbox that "allows 64m prims". Phoenix is the only viewer I've used, for some time now and the option for 64m prims has been there for quite some time too(even though previously they weren't supported by LL). I use mega prims a lot, so having that option is pretty important for me
  4. You're welcome. It's what works best for me. But don't be surprised if, every once in a blue moon, you run across someone who actually isn't a bot and comes back to you with some choice words. Or, as in the case today for me, one choice word But, it's par for the course, if someone can't be bothered to be adult enough to follow the rules, they likely can't be adult enough to converse on that level either, lol. Tell them to have a nice day, they hate it
  5. Pannie, since I know it will likely happen to you again (it happens all the time, on a daily basis, at least) these are the steps you should take to stop it. With the group chat open, click the lil arrows so it shows who is in room, find the offender, unclick their ability to chat. Then and only then, eject them. If it's truly a bot(and it almost always is, lol) they will still have the chat window open(hence why they can chat), but they won't be able to input text. They will have to close the box, rejoin the group; and start all over. Most bots, well bot runners, won't go through the trouble. The few that do, or the few who aren't actually bots but rather just annoying people, will most likely only rejoin the group once *possibly twice(way less likely). If they do, follow the same steps. This is how I get rid of bots in ad groups. Works like a charm, only takes a few seconds of my time, and annoys the begeebus out of the true actual live spammers behind the screens...so it serves a few purposes As for Live Chat, yeah they're good at getting sims restarted if needed. Sometimes they're good at following scripts. A majority of what they tell you is scripted for them, always has been, always will be, I don't think most of them have ever been in SL to begin with so they NEED the scripts to follow. Sometimes they're good at telling you where to find your actual answer, like point you tot he wiki, or something. But for a lot of the issues people have, and turn to live chat on, they arne't all that great. Technical issues and such I would always try forums first and foremost because at least the people here have actually been IN sl and even if they've never had the issue they can likely help you find the answer...or culprit, far better.

Ahh, gotcha, wasn't sure if that's what you meant or something totally different. Yeah that is not the same as what I was thinking of when talking about jiggling, lol.
  7. I've had that happen, more times than I care to admit. It's almost always user error. In other words, I paste it in with an extra character, typically a space that doesn't belong. It's quite easy to copy a space. The only times I've had issues and it not been user error, relogging has always fixed it. I guess that kind of goes hand in hand with user error though. In that it's my viewer, or system, being stubborn and simply not loading. I've never had it affect other people though, just me. Is the air going dead for all, or just you? If all, I'd say it's likely an extra character, probably a space. If just you, it's likely a relog will fix.(some say to toggle the music on and off to get it to work right, that rarely works for me though, a relog is relatively painless, quick and works better)
  8. No troubles at all here. But, it is the weekend, notoriously terrible for some folks.

To be honest my definition of jiggle, has absolutely nothing to do with resize scripts, and shouldn't(I'd say couldn't, but this is sl, I know better) affect any sort of resize script. I'm not fond of them so I don't and wouldn't, use them anyway.. Probably has nothing to do with what that person was asking for either. I was speaking about a prim actually jiggling like jello does when touched and once done jiggling going back to it's non-jiggling state. Or heck even one that worked on collision(ie, you walk into a wall of goo and it wiggles like crazy, eventually slowing and then stopping, until the next collision). It wouldn't change size at all, so if a prim had some sort of resize script in it, that wouldn't be affected. I also have no clue what you mean when you're talking about a window shake. Maybe we're thinking of different things (a shake and a jiggle are not the same, to me, two different actions). I've tried using flexi with as many different settings as I possibly could, I've never been able to really recreate this jiggle. A shake, or lots of other movement, yeah, but that's not a jiggle. A jiggle is more smooth, but fast. A shake is more rigid(whether fast or slow). Makes much more sense in my head. But, like I said, probably not the same kind of jiggle that was mentioned. Think of a great big blob of jello or goo sitting on a plate in front of you. Touch it, or even move the plate, and it jiggles a bit(or a lot) and slowly stops reacting eventually returning to it's non-jiggly state. I've never been able to get flexi to recreate this. I've only been able to recreate it using sculpts and a script that changes the sculpt map(s) used. It changes quickly enough to make the prim look like it's wiggling-but it's not super smooth, not gradually slowing and doesn't return to it's "non moving" state when finished. In other words it doesn't even look remotely "lifelike".
  10. I'm not sure what the person asking about the jiggle script meant, but the first thing I thought of when I saw it was jello, lol. So a script that can make a prim jiggle like jello does, is what I thought of. the reason I thought of it was because of the goo comment. I've seen scripts that make prims move, but I've never seen a prim move with a "natural jiggle", if that makes any sense. To be honest something I would love to see, though I know a few exist they are not nearly as user friendly as people claim they are, are blue menu creators. So many things need (or the creators want them to have/utilize) the blue menu. But it takes a pretty big learning curve for some to understand. Or a lot of copying and pasting which leaves way too much room for error should something else pop into local while you're waiting for this product to finish "saying" what you need to c/p. I've helped other people who've bought these various blue menu creators, or products to help them learn how to create them....they are *not* new user friendly, period(and this also makes them not really affordable for the average new creator-which tends to sour the opinion of these new creators). I think anything thta better helps new creators is actually the best idea, right now. Anyone that caters to new creators is doing not only themselves a great service, but also the grid. Sorry long winded, I had a very long day yesterday helping someone with building and this is one of the frustrations we ran into, lol. (language barrier didn't help either). I had a whole bunch of ideas before I started typing and now my train of thought is gone. I'll come back when I remember what it was I wanted. I'm not the greatest scripter in the world, so I am forever looking for scripts or tutorials for making/adjusting my own to suit my needs as a creator.

Tackle that needs SL little blue pills? And I know a woman who was given a breedable horse by a guy she just met. They're given those away...who sets up these huge raunches and thinks they're get rich?? Syd Why do people invest in anything at all in sl. I can think of things that cost way more, and many don't get a whole lot of benefit from them after the initial purchase(or the short time after). There are cars in sl that need gas, btw.(there's just about everything in sl, if you look for it). I'm not so sure why people care what others invest in. There are plenty of people who do make a pretty penny off their breedables, the offspring and/or creations to go along with them. It's a matter of business for those folks and personally I commend them when they do/can. I've done it myself. I've had breedables pay my rl bills, still do. Just because some folks can't make the breedables work for them, doesn't mean everyone can't. But then I've also never invested a ton of money in them. I never have and I never will. I don't believe you have to invest a lot to make a profit off them. You just have to know what you're doing and actually be serious about it. You can't go at it half-cocked and expect to benefit.
  13. I'm fairly certain the kind of information the OP is looking for, can be found by looking at (or asking directly if needed) what the creators have put out there. That's what I was replying to anyway, the desire for a general "go to" answer spot/faq/whatever you want to call it, about all breedables in sl. There isn't going to ever be a one-size-fits-all FAQ for "breedables in general" in sl. That's not even remotely possible. Speaking purely about the scripts they ALL vary. What applies to one breedable, won't apply to another. Script times aren't the same, the servers/databases aren't the same, the functionality of the products(even those that seem similar) aren't exactly the same, etc.. There's just too many differences.
  14. Each individual creator/team/company puts out their own info on their own breedable. It's sorta on the shoulders of the customers to go get it, or the potential ones that is. There is tons of information out there, but no two breedables are the same, so the info isn't one-size-fits-all. There is no "general breedable faq" and there couldn't be, because they aren't all the same.
  15. Just wanted to update that most of the listings have rectified themselves, for no apparent reason. I haven't done anything new to them, my boxes, the sim, etc... in at least a couple days. They just magically got better after I complained. I checked them this morning and about half of them were better. I checked again a couple hours ago and most of the rest are better now too. Still have a few acting up but since they're not things I sell often, I'm not as worried about them.
  16. Yep I did ask for anything, you just never know when you're simply overlooking something stupid. The rating is what I was just checking and they're all set correctly. Running through them all one by one to try and figure this out. Makes me glad I don't have thousands of listings that's for sure.
  17. Let me offer a slight amount of background first. Approx a month ago I moved to a new sim. One of the first things I did upon moving was put my magic boxes back out. They were only in inventory for maybe an hour, if even. I rezzed them on the new land before I even set the store back up. They were working FINE!! A couple days later I went on vacation and I was gone for about three weeks. The boxes seemed fine while I was gone. Plenty of sales still coming in, no issues. Now for the last week I have been having a serious issue and it's ticking me off. I've run through every possible step I could think of. I've talked to other merchants in world to see what they think too, and gotten nowhere. I've rezzed, re-rezzed, gotten brand new boxes, delisted, created new listings, put them on a new sim, etc... etc... However a good 75% of my items, are saying unavailable, no matter what I do. I don't know what to do to fix this. Like I said, I've tried everything I can think of. The sim is typically empty. I used to rent a homestead, this is a full region most of which is empty, no real lag to speak of, scripts work fine, the boxes all have at least some things in it that show as fine on the mp. The only time I have ever had an issue this serious(ok serious to me) was when xstreet(or mp) was down and it affected every merchant. Any ideas? Even if they're ones I've already tried I'm willing to continue running through them all on a daily basis if needed, if it solves the issue. Or maybe I missed something glaringly obvious. I know I can file a ticket, and I likely will because I'm not sure what else to do at this point. I've just never had much luck with tickets unless it was a failed MP delivery-those get answered, any others go days or weeks without a response(assuming they get one at all, and those that do, it's a scripted generic response that has never been helpful). MP makes up a HUGE chunk of my sales, so I need it to work at least a bit better than this. I'm afraid to even add new content and I have quite a bit to add. Sticking to in-world only sales isn't really an option, in-world has never been as profitable as slex, xstreet,mp, etc... Frustrated here, if anyone can assist, offer advice, something...anything, I'd be grateful at this point.
  18. A few years ago there used to be a few really great places that were nothing but yard sales. One giant yard sale sim was my fav and it was called, Yard Sale. The owner would buy your old unwanted stuff (not at huge prices of course, lol) and then lay it out for sale. When this av was new that's where I got most of my stuff. It was really nice stuff too. But sadly, those sims are gone There is one place I know of that some people like, but it's a total ripoff. They charge the same as the creators do, or did, since a lot of the stuff is outdated now(and not retro in a good way). They also spam the begeebus out of you, sell mostly copy items(so you won't find one of a kind anything). The events tab in search is where I find all the ones I go through. But try terms like yard sale, garage sale, sim sale, flea market, used sale, resale, and even just sale in general. It'll take some wading through the events, but I know they are still listed. I went to one the other day and found something nifty I needed(not really, just wanted it). I was bored and went grid hopping via events.
  19. Mayalily wrote: Yes, the child avi things is weird, but lately it's been some new craze around SL. When I first joined, almost no child avi's ever; now I see at least one or two a day starting about a month ago. You haven't been in sl very long then. Child avs have been around for years, they aren't some new fad. Thousands and thousands of them are all over the grid. You just clearly have not been where they are. Most child avs tend to stick to areas designed for them. So unless you go there, you won't likely see too many. So it really depends on where you wander on this great big grid. The ageplay thing isn't new either. It's disgusting, against TOS and a whole lot of other words I can't say here, but unfortunately it's not new. Fortunately, it's something they crack down on and do a pretty darn good job of it (I give LL props when due). Also, thankfully the majority of child avs think the same of that sort of nasty crap, as the rest of us do, and they avoid it too.
  20. Anyone can find a quote somewhere on the web that will say for them that which they wish to say. Or in your case that which they don't wish to say, because I still can't tell what the heck it is you're actually trying to say. Some of your quotes there contradict the others, but then your quotes contradict pretty much everything you said in your OP too. So, like I said, I have no clue what you were going for in the first place. But I am beginning to think you're going to need a much larger spoon for this one buddy.
  21. sorry to derail your topic back to the op for a moment.... I like making, selling and giving away cheap stuff. And by cheap I mean in price and yes, sometimes, even in quality. Because I am not a top notch designer/creator just yet, i can't really expect people to pay me top notch. That would be plain silly. Not to mention a tad arrogant of me. I won't pay top dollar for work that's not top notch, why would I charge it? Seems...weird. There was a time some years ago when I would spend the few hours out of the week not tending to my house and children (one of which needed more constant care due to 'round the clock feeding pump, normally I would not share this but I feel I must in order for this to make any sense, so I apologize for the rl intrusion...), working from home. What did I do, you might ask? Well I was a Jane of all trades. From web design to graphics, healthy and beauty items to candles, cloth diapers to clothing, toys to craft packs for educational centers. I made and sold anything and everything I could to keep my little family afloat. I did it too. It was hard as all get out, but I managed. I didn't do so by starting off charging top dollar though. I wasn't stupid enough to believe that my very first cloth diaper, or my very first soy candles, or my very first website designs were going to be top notch. No, they were most definitely not. Where did I start off? I started off with offering free items to testers. Yep, that's right, testers. Some call it an alpha or beta phase these days, in fact that's what I called it back then too, and what I still call it to this day. As my skills grew, my prices, and therefore income, did as well. There came a time when eventually my income actually supported us, got us up and out of the ghetto, paid for my daughter's treatments and the most god awful expensive formula I have ever seen....you get my point. But the fact of the matter remains if it hadn't been for those "freeloaders" and the people who were willing to pay little to nothing for my not so perfect stuff, I never would have gotten off the ground floor. Even once my skills got better I still kept some things at those lower levels. Why? Because I had a better handle on things and felt it was wise to cover as many bases and budgets as I possibly could. It worked to my advantage too. My sl business is no different than any rl business I have ever done. It never occurred to me that it ought to be. As my skills get better in sl, my prices will likely go up. Or maybe they won't, who knows. Maybe I'll stick with the area I'm at, lol. I can't say for certain since at the moment what I do, and make, is all over the board and I really don't even sell all of the things I make to be honest(a great deal, but not all, I'm always working on things). But I can tell you that my lower prices are surely not harming anyone, nor are they putting anyone else out of business or making them shake in their panties/knickers/under-roos/tighty whities/banana hammocks or whatever other term you deem appropriate. I am far from competition for others. I have a hodge podge of things and don't stick to just one area. I probably never will, I couldn't do it in rl either. I don't have a good enough attention span to focus on one area My sl business isn't just for fun, though I do enjoy every moment of it, the good, bad and even the downright ugly. It actually does serve a much larger purpose than that. Eventually it wil sustain my family full time in the way that my rl business used to(and would still if there weren't a heck of a lot more cost involved in it). But I've been watching ralph, and people like him, say that people who charge less are "ruining" things for years in sl. It doesn't matter what market they're talking about in sl, or even who is saying it. People with that mindset are a dime a dozen here. I've yet to see a whole lot of merit to their thought process because they've yet to provide much to back it up with. Sure they've got an opinion, I can dig that, everyone's got one. But proof, nah, haven't seen a lick of it yet. Yeah product placement sucks, marketplace needs an overhaul, search sucks(inworld and marketplace). But what exactly does that have to do with what people charge for their things? Also, why exactly does charging less than, say $50L for your item automatically mean you believe your item, your time or your skill is really worthless? I don't get that. For me, that may be the case at times(not necessarily worthless, but perhaps not worth more than that amount, at that time, yeah) But maybe, just maybe, for some people they feel that with the added benefit of multiple purchases over time they will get back what they believe their time, their product and their skill is worth...and then some. Maybe they aren't looking to make it all back on that very first purchase, and then some. But maybe that's just too wild of a concept for some folks to understand. We need people on this grid charging prices of all kinds. That's one of the beautiful things about this place. You really can find things of great, good, mediocre and even plain awful quality in all price ranges. There truly is something out there for everyone, no matter your budget. I personally think that's awesome. It leaves room for the folks who want to play for free, the folks who have a very limited budget and even the folks who really don't have a limited budget(and everyone else who might not fit into any of those). What's so wrong with that? Honestly. Aside from all the jibber jabber about the flaws with search, product placement and the things we know are wrong as far as functionality with mp and sl are concerned. How exactly is having a diverse economy in sl such a terrible no good awful thing when it offers something that *could potentially attract pretty much anyone, and everyone, no matter their financial situation? (again, this is barring the technical issues which have absolutely nothing to do with how people price merchandise)
  22. There are a lot of really great tat artists in sl, but there are also a lot of eh, not so great ones. So I do know how disappointing it can be to get one and find that it's really not all that great. A lot of images are just taken off the net. And while it may take some work to remove backgrounds/white, slap them on a template, align them correctly and upload them, it's not really quite the same as designing it from scratch. Sleeves in particular in sl, are, well can be, very tricky. For one, they will be identical. You can't have two different sleeves. This is part of the reason why I don't like most of the ones in sl. Even some of the best ones I've seen in sl, aren't necessarily something that I would buy. They simply don't end up looking right. (mostly because, as we're all well aware, no two avs are ever really the same). Personally, I would avoid full sleeves for this reason, because very few artists in sl really can pull them off and have them look right on most avs. Now tats on the arms in general don't necessarily look quite as bad as many full sleeves do, though. But I would still be very picky with those. I'm the same way with chest tats, expecially on women. They stretch funny and rarely look right because of placement. I have some tats I made myself. I used actual designs I've made in rl and combined them with some other design ideas from a couple other rl artists I know. I have one on my upper left arm(rl) that I turned into a back tat in sl (because it doesn't look right in sl as an upper arm tat on both arms, lol) that I absolutely love. You might even want to try your hand at making your own. It's not nearly as difficult as it might seem. It's actually a lot of fun! If I were you I would do a LOT of wandering the grid and don't settle on the first few places you see. I would definitely use the marketplace to your advantage, but not to buy. I know you said you don't like using it, but it can be a valuable search tool. Even if they don't have a "see it in second life" link in their listing, you can see the seller's name and then search them in-world by name(not store name, but the av's name) and could find their in-world location that way. Sounds more complicated than it is, lol. That's how I find a lot of places because in-world ssearch sucks.
  23. There are quire a few people who sell sculpted packs of letters on marketplace-in world too, but I've always bought mine on marketplace(or the earlier equivalents anyway). Most of them sell the maps-along with samples of the letters. I've never used a generator, so I can't help with that specifically. I've got them in at least a couple different font styles too. Most of them seem very reasonably priced. So if you cannot find the generator, I recommend going that route. Just search for sculpted(or sculpt/y) alphabet, you'll find them pretty easily.
  24. Anyone who wouldn't(or doesn't) appreciate even "small" tips, is likely not worth any at all. I can't imagine not being appreciative of any tip I got, personally. The size of the tip doesn't really matter to me (and yes I have had to work for tips before, lol, both rl and sl, I understand it completely).
  25. If you can't find one suitable, I highly recommend you find a nice sculpt(set or individual, whatever your preference), either in-world or on marketplace. Then you can create a prim which will likely be large enough for your needs, since we can now go up to 64m, and make your own cave. It very well may be easier for you than buying one and having to mod it after you buy it(might be cheaper too). There are tons of great textures out there you can use on them too..
