Thanks for the suggestion. I had actually already tried downloading the drivers from the manufacturers ( both Intel & Radeon ) as well as going to the HP page, and consulting the HP techs since I'm still under warranty. Today, I took it in to Best Buy and met up with Geek Squad. Unfortuantely, none of us could make it run SL. So the HP was exchanged for something that actually works. Thanks for your time, this issue is handled now.

So my alienware laptop bit the dust yesterday after like, seven years. It was unexpected and I wound up having to buy a new one at Best Buy because... I work from home from time to time and needed a replacement machine ASAP. So. I figured that it should be able to run SL ... only to find that it can't? Any help would be appreciated at this point. I've only included the parts that I thought were relevant to the issue. I'm getting the error: Second Life is unable to run because your video card driversdid not install properly, are out of date, or are for unsupported hardware. Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers and even if ou do have the latest, try reinstalling them. If you continue to recieve this message, contact customer service.
