I'm trying to get to the present-day Criminal minds episodes so far I am on season 11 episode 5. I am kind of disappointed that Hotch leaves and so does Derek Morgan.

I'm on ep 3 or 4 I think.  I kinda tapped out cos I get bored when there is some huge conspiracy or backstory behind the season and not just individual story episodes.  Plus its not the same without Spenser and not coping with Emily's hair!!!!

Bury some chicken wire around the inside edge of the enclosure, then fill in the hole.

Oh, and an ankle brace so you don't roll your ankle while bunny wrangling 😄

Done that.  The cheeky blighters have dug from the middle of the enclosure, under their hutch and out to freedom.  Prisons would be nothing to these two!!!

Very much agree! I used to always wonder how some photos would have 500+ group submissions. Automated I'm sure, but I have zero desire to do that. So, I'm pooped after finding a good 10-15 to put something into. And then you have to take even more time to search out high-quality groups that don't attract the random photo spam and ugh, it's just a hassle! Less trouble for me to just start using Flickr as a basic portfolio and ignoring the social features entirely.

I pay for Flickr pro to get the extra opt in groups and pic limits, so the basics with pics in 500+ groups irks me no end!!  Especially when most of them are crappy and get more favs than my decent pics in 30 groups!!

  4. So two weeks ago Spawnage got her restricted driver's license - simply put, she can't drive from 10pm-6 or 7am or carry passengers until she sits and passes her full license test...in 2yrs time.

*insert teary "my baby" moment here*

So the "delight" part comes from no longer having to do the to and from work run anymore (she got a dispensation allowing her to drive home after 10pm) just in time for the cold, wet winter season!

Honestly, I'm at the point where I'm going to redo my entire Flickr and just post photos. That's it - no 30 mins hunting down and copying over every single item I'm wearing (including applier layers - omg), no more looking for the right groups for each photo and making sure all products are listed, no more group submissions, no more checking engagement - over it. Post, and go. Done.

Can't say I blame you for this.  Seems so many people just dump their pics on EVERY group they're a member of, regardless of it fitting in or not...eg pics of shoes in face pic groups etc.

That peeves me no end, cos I actually take the time to add to the appropriate groups, which is why a pic may end up in 34 groups instead of 634, like so many spammed pics do.

Even though it would cause major backlash, I really wish Flickr would get rid of the opt out option.

  6. So I buy a lot of backdrops...and I mean A LOT of backdrops!  Next to hair, I think this would be my biggest SL shopping addiction.

That being said, I spend a lot of time making sure I find the right one in my extensive collection when taking a picture, and when posting on Flickr, I like to support the store by posting my pictures in their group.

So it peeves me NO END when they reject my pictures from their store group.

Could be for many reasons.  They don't like how I am using their backdrop, I am not showing enough of it etc.  I am not gonna make myself look entitled and ask "wHy YoU rEjEcT mEeEeEeEeEe?"...I'm simply leaving your group and won't bother showing my support for you anymore.

But I will keep buying....cos BACKDROPS!!!!

  7. I'm like, THE WORST Flickrite/Blogger in existence cos I don't play the Flickr "fav/follow" game.

I post pics, rarely acknowledge or respond to comments, don't follow many people, don't fav many pics - only ones I REALLY like, post my pics ONLY in groups they should go in instead of EVERY group I belong to...etc.

I guess this is why I am lucky to get 30+ likes on pics I think are pretty good.

  8. When I see something I really like on Flickr and the creator is doing the "like/leave your name, be in to win it" thing and has a winners chosen date, so I like and leave my name hoping to win.  I go to the store doing my usual weekend sales shop and see that item is in the sale, so think to myself that I'll just wait and see if I win first.  If not I'll go back to buy it at the reduced price.

Peeve: Forgetting to go back to buy it!!!

Don't put one day sales items as prizes on Flickr!!!

Love is correct: you seem not to understand how ChatGPT works? The software uses "Large Language Model" to produce its output, collecting and reconstituting what it finds elsewhere.

"ChatGPT is an extrapolation of a class of machine learning Natural Language Processing models known as Large Language Model (LLMs). LLMs digest huge quantities of text data and infer relationships between words within the text."

The bias here isn't "instilled" by the programmer: it's replicated from the huge database -- essentially, the Web -- from which the algorithm derives its answers. In other words, it's directly reflecting, and reproducing, larger cultural biases that are embedded in discourse across the entire web. Where a human author will look at a text and say, "Hey, that isn't right -- women can be doctors too!", ChatGPT's "understanding" is produced by automated inference based on the most statistically probable relationship between words. If there are more men than women doctors, for instance, it will necessarily assume -- statistically -- that the sentence opening "The gender of this doctor is . . ." should properly be completed by the word "male."

ChatGPT is being used now, increasingly, to do everything from producing advertising copy to company policy. It's not a toy: it's replacing human labour -- and human judgement in some pretty important spheres of economic, political, and social activity. These biases aren't "hypothetical": they are being reflected, subtly or otherwise, in the "real world" documents that it's being used to generate. It will get better at this, and interventions by the coders (which are being used now to "censor" some of the things ChatGPT says, in order to ensure that it's not using obscenities or being overtly racist) will eventually address this. But right now, the software has problems with this.

    And yes, that is important.

Considering how language is being butchered/erased/cancelled/changed etc...it really doesn't matter to me.

And lets not get started on gender.

Before we get too excited about integrating ChatGPT into Second Life, it might be worth bearing in mind some of its really rather disturbing problems.

This Twitter thread gives example of the implicit gender bias that it reproduces. Apparently, ChatGPT doesn't believe that women can be doctors, or that men can be nurses, and it will try to correct you if you use a grammatical construction that implies this.

Do we really want NPCs with attitudes straight out of the 50s running around in SL?

When whether or not someone is male or female in a hypothetical example that has no effect on anything gets panties so bunched up that something can be written off as worthless I really despair for humanity as a whole.

ChatGPT doesn't believe anything that the person programming it doesn't instill into it.  It's not self aware or self functioning.

    And today's SL peeve:

Popular merchant sends out Body Survey to see what bodies folks want stuff made for.  "Second Preferred Body" and "Third Preferred Body" are both required fields.  I only have one body and do not give a crap about any others.

You can use my preferred if you like so it keeps being supported lol.
