  1. But you shouldn't lump them all together because there are also very committed Lindens who really work for the user and i would like to bring them in front of the curtain. Above all, TJ Linden , who is hard to beat in terms of expertise, especially when it comes to Region issues, and whom we trust for over a decade. Followed by Derrick Linden , Kat Linden (even if she is no longer active but in a very good memory), Rider Linden , Brett Linden , Theresa Linden , Vix Linden , Gordon Linden , Whitney Linden , Bugsly Linden and a few more that really helped us whenever we had problems with a helping hand. My wife and I would like to thank you all.

  2. @OptimoMaximoNice that you find it laughable but I understood it so that it is about the state of the sun at a certain time of day and it changes from day to day from the horizontal as well as from the vertical level. The actual peak of the sun also changes by a few minutes depending on the date. See https://www.suncalc.org/#/47.5554,13.5135,15/2020.02.11/17:18/1/2 . You can only adjust this manually to show the actual status. So save yourself your laughter and inform yourself about the facts.

The floater for setting the sun/moon position.  Could you please insert some boxes for numeric entry of the sun/moon positions so we can fine tune position.  The Current tools for that work alright for course positioning but if you want some rather fine tuned sun/moon position it can get a little clunky.

Since the sun is not always in the same position, but the position of the sun changes slightly every day, e.g. at the height of the sun above the horizon it is easier to change the position as it is now and to estimate the grading approximately. The position of the sun also varies e.g. Midday by + - about 20 minutes to longitude.

As for mature avatars, Session has a lot of good mature skins for guys

Thanks for the good advice. Now I come much closer to my RL appearance in SL. Except for the hairbase. Unfortunately, this is the only one I have found with a high forehead.

  5. As we all know, it is more than difficult for us, who belong to the 50+ generation, and also in Second Life we are not afraid to show our age, to find suitable skins or hair, etc. What would you think of a subsection 50+ in the corresponding marketplace sections, or whatever you would like to call it, to set up articles that make it easier to find suitable articles faster? At the moment it often takes days until you accidentally find something that would really fit.

I miss the times when you could just sit around a campfire or whatever and just talk.

I also wrote it via IM. You are very welcome to come to our regions with your friends and just relax and chat here as in the old days.

  7. It's not just about skins, it's also very simple, e.g. a hairbase with a high forehead. You can see everything there is in the photo. There are gray beards in "real hair" more than enough, but that somebody does the work also a correspondingly good looking real hair base ................ you run from Pontius to Pilate and return and try to run only closed doors. The hairbase that I have is actually a white standard layer that I had to colorize gray afterwards via HUD .............. and how does it look compared to the beard? Well certainly not.

  8. Does anyone actually think of us older people? To whose forehead is slowly but surely moving up and hair graying in honor? Not everyone wants to walk through the area as a young boy until the end of his life, it just takes days, weeks and months until you find something somewhere by chance and over 5 corners that might be suitable. It's a shame that you do so little for the 50+ generation, which I also belong to, and if you do, there are very few skins and even those are just revised 0815 faces . We older people also have heads of e.g. Catwa only, the Skin- or Hairbase appliers are more than rare for us. Your dear and so well-known manufactures .............. do something for those who do not want to hide their age behind a milk boy face but are proud of their age and what they have achieved in their lives to have.

Maybe my Profilepicture here is an inspiration for you.

  9. As we unfortunately could see from our own experience, access to live chat has been around for a long time. not possible with the language setting German. In collaboration with Kit Linden and the engineers from Linden Labs and the chat provider, a temporary solution has now been developed. Users who just want to use the live chat with language settings other than English, but the chat bubble does not appear, must switch the language to English in their support profile. Then it works again. Kit Linden and the engineers are now working on a stable solution that will make it possible to use the usual language setting without having to switch over. That Kit Linden wrote to my Wife who filed the Ticket About that Issue: If you are unable to access live chat, click on the username button on the top right of our Support Portal which should bring you to where you are able to manage your account, Change your language listed to English and save - this will make the chat bubble available and will allow you to use live chat. We are working to enable use of other languages and live chat but do not have a resolution at this time. We apologize deeply for the inconvenience.

In which regions did it take place? On RC-Magnum certainly not.
Surely this is again one of these misinformations, which have been very common lately.

I thought that keeping customers happy providing a quality service was an investment, not a cost.

@MBeatrix You are not dumb but think exactly what everyone who is not yet SL-stupid thinks. Customer service is an investment in customer satisfaction with the company and thus also a future guarantee for the company in order to keep the customer. But the great sacrifices up there see it differently. There they think they can keep people happy by giving them a few small chunks in front of theyr face. However, the men and women on the executive board probably do not see that the customer pays with just under $ 100 a year primarily for a PREMIUMSUPPORT in order to get the best possible support as a region owner / tenant, for which he also pays huge amounts of money to Linden so.

Premium support should NOT end at 3PM. That is the time when things begin to usually go wonky in SL.  With all the new money we are being charged for every single thing under the sun, we should be getting back the 24/7 support we used to have in SL for premium members and sim owners.

I had already discussed and demanded the topic of 24 hours support at the Town Hall meeting with the CEO of Linden Labs Ebbe Altberg about 1 1/2 years ago. All that came out of this was the reference to the high costs involved, which, at the moment, would not be bearable. So to speak, only the counter-question came , "and who is to pay for it?" . Of course we premium member and region owner. But that seems to be not enough to actually grant us, the PREMIUMSUPPORT we are entitled to, for which we reach deep into the purse. The idea of outsourcing support to external call centers or the like was also put aside due to the cost. If we add up the time for the alleged maintenance work, the support is available to us for a long time. It is also interesting that Linden wants to sell us the holidays and the Christmas holiday of the employees as maintenance in Grid status. No one takes that away from them anyway. It used to be reported honestly and in kind words and we were also wished A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Linden Labs/Raider Linden.... When will you release the EEP code for the 3rd party viewer so all of us that use then will be able to get a "normal" day cycle?? As the EEP code are on the servers it screw up the normal day cycle for EVERYONE on non-eep viewers that don't resolve to wind light all the time. It's been 1 year more or less since you messed up the SL sun by putting the EEP code on the servers.

Since nearly 1 Year we have realistic 24-hour cycles in our two regions and use the old, but still working Beta from Firestorm as well as the current Lindenviewer. Amazingly, the outdated version of Firestorm delivers better results than the latest from Linden Labs. I think Firestorm should launch a new public useable beta based on this, which also includes the latest other features such as bakes on mesh etc. . It is really time to give people something to approach EEP with and with all the convenience that Firestorm offers.

The main problem I see is that Linden as well as all others are still too busy trying to please users who try to use the latest standards with pre-flood 32bit Stone Age computers. Graphics cards like a 2GB Ram 450GTX and similar weak onboard cards have been outdated for ages and can be seen as museum artifacts.

And what happened, ladies and gentlemen? .................. nothing. At least not on Magnum. Neither yesterday nor today.

Linden should finally learn to honestly admit mistakes, or if they are unable to do something that has been announced. Nobody pulls their heads off if they are honest with the users, but this is how you, as a paying customer, only feel fooled.

  15. Does Linden want to lure us with that Grid Status reports? At 3 o'clock they write the Rolling Restart is in work, at 6:46 there are delays, at 7 o'clock again the restart is in progress so that we get to read at 10:05 o'clock that the restart is finished. Stupid only that nothing happened at all and as usual the live chat is of course not available. Probably to avoid "annoying" questions. And for that we pay? So lets see what happens tomorrow.

  16. That Rolling Restart isnt that i normaly know from a Rolling Restart and as usual the Livechat is not available.

It took 1 1/2 Hours until our Region came back and that with a very low Scriptperformance so we had to Restart again to bring back a Scriptperformance witch we can see as "normal" .
