  1. @Solar Legion : We have reported that problem first after we found it early morning and have been involved until the end. So there's no reason for you to laugh stupidly about it. And now we have the next  issue that no scripts working with http are  working any longer. For example Vendors area all death gridwide.

  2. The todays rolling restarts were necessary to take over the current fix for the EEP problem in the regions see Since the last update for the main channel 2020-12-02.553176 we can no longer change the EEP presets for the region. - Second Life Server - Second Life Community and https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-229824 and were announced at short notice in the grid status Second Life Status (secondlifegrid.net)  .

  3. A short Test shows us that the EEP-issue now really got fixed and it works for the moment as it should be.

If it still doesn't work out, the solution will look like we'll follow. Open the setting, change one of the values and reset it back to its original value, then just overwrite with the Save button. This will resave the preset to the asset system and the problem will be resolved. This will be necessary, if at all, at most with 1 preset and after that everything will work out as before.

Prim building, and the amazing prim builders that we lost with the introduction of mesh. I feel that in some ways SL lost a great deal with the introduction of mesh.

There are still a few prim users, who then convert their products from Prims into mesh and save Landimpact and create the fabulous products with it. Z.B. our region construction team is one of the very builders who originally built the buildings on a prim basic and then converted them. And if you look at the buildings with us ........... there is nothing better. Many also forget that it is not only the model that in the end makes the product look good, but primarily the texture. I can still create a model as well, if the texture is deficient, the product as a whole is deficient.

Good Rock/Metal clubs operating on European times

Unfortunately, this comes from the fact that many Europeans have also adapted to the stupid cliché that everything in SL must be done according to Pacific Standard. For example we have also activated the time zone GMT+1 in the EEP settings in our regions and also all clocks and daily sequences depend on our real time zone and not on that of the Americans.

People typing in local chat. Most places are dead silent now.

I agree with you. Just like there are people who completely ignore the open chat and don't even notice that you greet them. Likewise, there are people who think you can smell what language they speak and who are amazed when you greet them first in your own native language and not in English. Then it can also happen that you are insulted as a stupid bot or something like that, instead of saying that you do not understand this language. That was much better at a time when all these external programs weren't as intense, and people's manners used to be better.

  7. @Scylla Rhiadra Thank you for all the suggestions that we will reconsider in the coming days and weeks, away from the skyboxes. What we will implement more quickly is the idea of warning. However, also back in our way by placing a watchdog instead of a prim or similar, which then strikes when someone has dared to cross the fence. We just take great care that everything we put up fits into the overall picture of the region and it will be difficult to use some standard SL products. This will probably mean that our construction team has to come back into play so that nothing disturbs the ambience. We just want to create a compromise for our tenants as well as for all the nice guests without destroying the townscape, and that would already cause ban fences.

Note: Why we have almost everything in German can also be explained from the overall picture. Gosau is located in Austria, where our language is German. If someone has a problem with something, they only need to ask one of the people present and are happy to receive information in English. So everyone has the opportunity to be informed and if there is not an answer immediately then the one away from SL is active in his real life. But no one is guilty of an answer, even if it becomes later.

  8. To clarify the topic of Orbs. We have aligned the orbs exactly on the lines of the houses just as patch linden demanded for the Linden Homes because we don't want to scare the people who happen to get lost by chance or e.b. with the snowboard or sleigh on the property. I am also concerned only with those who enter the buildings with full intent, although it is clear that someone lives there. I think that's just a naughty thing. Otherwise, we are happy about every guest who comes to us and are happy to be there for a conversation. We are also happy to accept suggestions from guests and try to implement them as best we can. You just have to talk to us. That is what we are there for. Well........... that after all in all 11 years as a region owner also a huge quantum of frustration creeps in i please forgive me. Just to make Gosau as real as possible were several thousand hours of work by our team behind it, which my wife and I are also very grateful for. We don't want to be destroyed or avoided by a few inappropriate lyristers.

  9. That is exactly what we do not want, because we like to show our RL homeland. It is only about 4 - 8 Guys per day that we miss the pleasure of all the hundreds of hours of work that we have invested for our property tenants as well as for all the hundreds of decent guests. That would be unfair to all those who behave like normal people. What is particularly striking is that this only occurs during the Advent and Christmas weeks and otherwise is largely quiet throughout the year.

  10. We have technical helpers, such as the above-mentioned ass-kicker, installed for our tenants in the houses, also highly visible alarm systems as well as a warning sign and yet almost every day 4 - 5 people invade these houses and try to settle there at home. Sure, after a few seconds, they are removed and banished. Only we are against the grain that there are such ignorants, which in sl so nothing is sacred at all. Turning on SL does not mean giving up the manners at login. It is just a pure principle thing how to behave as a guest. Cinos you are quite right that our mentality in Austria is different from, for example, that of the Americans, but one can nevertheless behave in such a way that one does not antagonize.  And if we are already made aware of any wrongdoing, then one should at least apologise briefly instead of, as we did yesterday, when we were insulted and begging in the worst possible way. Every fun and every attempt at understanding stops there.

  11. The thing is that we have the two regions open to the public, but we have also allocated several plots of land as private land, which are also very well recognizable as such. Precisely through garden fences and other things that make every normal-thinking person understand that the small piece of land is a private property. The problem seems to be that unfortunately too many turn off the brain as soon as they start SL and thus also lose the respect and manners.
No one can tell me that the property in the photo cannot be recognized as a private property and should respect it as such.
It's all about the principle and accepting something and not saying 'that's just SL, I'm doing what I want' . Here, too, there are rules of coexistence, decency and respect.

  12. How clearly do you actually have to mark private property than with a garden fence all around, a post box on the door and everything else that makes a private property recognizable even for the blindest hen? Almost every day idiots manage to make themselves unpopular with us by breaking into private houses that are more than clearly recognizable as such. Just as numerous morons manage to make themselves unpopular by messing with other people's vehicles for them and trying to use them without permission. The icing on the cake are those weak mates who break into houses where the owners are in them and say "Hello, there I am". Unfortunately, the banned list only has 500 entries free to shut out such idiots. With the best of intentions, Second Life does not mean losing respect for private property. In my opinion, respect for private property and the right to privacy should be very much incorporated into the Community Standards and TOS of Linden Labs and specially emphasized.

  13. As in the last few weeks, RC regions probably mean all regions in the AWS cloud. Or? I think you should slowly adapt to it and adapt the server names to the current status quo. I know how difficult it is for some to part with old terms, you can tell that the term EEP-Setting is still a rarity and everyone continues to use the old word Windlight, but it is time to adapt to the current situation . Everything else just causes misunderstandings.

  14. We were migrated to the cloud today at 2:30am CET and in the course of long-term monitoring, as has already been mentioned, we were able to see that both the texture load and the overall performance were able to experience a noticeable increase. But it is particularly striking that the stability increased very much, both in general and in particular in the area of script performance. The fluctuations in script performance, which were previously massively noticeable, are now limited to a minimum of + - 1 to 1.5%. This is a massive advantage, especially for heavily used regions.  However, it does not in any way relieve the region owners of regularly restarting the regions and, despite everything, to pay attention to scriptusage. So no carte blanche for lazy people who now believe they can be even more lazy through the cloud. The change from one region to another is also almost imperceptible over time. Of course, there may be a slight wobbler one or the other time, but this is so minimal that it hardly stands out.
