  1. Ok, so we all know about the mesh physics appliers famously used to make mesh bodies behave in the same way as LL avatars do when physics is enabled. I have two questions: How do these mesh appliers work, and can the same concepts be applied to other mesh attachments? For example, could we make a little head prop that bounces based on physics, rather than pre-set animation. Hair that bounces with the breast physics appliers, or even a tail that bounces similarly to/alongside butt physics? What limits do we actually have here? Information has been difficult to find on this topic.
  2. Haha, sorry about that, people keep jumping on the "Oh, you're using Firestorm/Phoenix? You have to update" no matter what name I use for it, and I'm far too lazy to type out the full name and version number evey time . Don't worry, I'm using Phoenix Firestorm 4.4.2. The very first thing I tried was an update and fresh install. Just attached the logs to the bug report. Thanks for the help so far Fizzle
  3. It is worth noting that this problem has only started happening since the Project SunShine updates.
  4. Unfortunately it was only fixed for a short while. I had logged into the vanilla SL and everything was running fine, curious, I hopped clients and found everything to be working fine on the Phoenix client too. Today when I logged on everythign had returned to the usual buggy state, but I've found that occasionally (through multiple resets and client hopping) the SL vanilla client will run things fine without me changing any settings. I haven't yet been able to run Phoenix without the bug today. I'm not running on a Cell network, have no discernable DNS errors (or any errors, for that matter), my maximum bandwidth was set to the default 500, HTTP textures have been disabled and my MeshMaxConcurrentRequests setting is the default.
  5. Thanks a bunch Perrie! I'll log into my vanilla client and post a bug report asap
  6. I didn't know there was a dedicated group for this stuff, when I tried to make a support ticket all I got was a set of options relating to property, account and billing help, nothing about graphical or technical errors. Additional Information Following the instructions on http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/ has had no effect. My internet connection is stable and fast enough, time dialation in SL varies between 0.999 - 0.997 and my Physics FPS hovers around 45.0.
  7. So I recently updated to Phoenix Firestorm v4.4.2 to get with this new fangled Sunshine project and ran into what has become a rather crippling problem. I see grey people. Everywhere. Issue For some reason (I will list my attempts at fixing this soon, promise) everyone's skin texture and clothing appears grey. All Prims, Sculpties and Mesh will load fine with their textures appearing as normal, but any clothing or skin textures will fail. Additionally this affects my own avatar as well. I use a mesh body, and I cannot utilise an alpha layer to hide my grey LL body. This issue is local to my client only, I appear normal to everyone else. Noted Exceptions There have been two exceptions to this. For some reason a friend of mine will always load perfectly and instantly, we cannot determine why this is, she appears to be doing nothing differently. I also was able to fix up my alpha layers and hide the grey LL body, but then in my excitement I changed outfits and wound up right back where I was before. Interestingly enough when I enter 'Appearance Edit' mode (discovered when I was creating a new Alpha) my aplha's suddenly appear to work and my grey LL body is hidden. Unfortunately as soon as I close this window and exit the forced pose, everything returns to its usual buggy state. Fix Attempts So Far Cache has been emptied via Preferences and manually numerous times.Phoenix Firestorm has been re-installed (fresh) twice.Played with HTTP Texture settings.*Attempted playing on the SecondLife default viewer instead, but experienced the same issue as on Phoenix Firestorm.Rebaking. This does nothing on myself, nor on others.Texture > Refresh also has no discernable effect.Changing outfits.Creating a new Alpha Layer.Waiting.Resetting PC.Changing groups.Changing Sims.Updated Drivers.Changing Graphical settings.* Admittedly I really had no idea what I was doing at this point and stated flipping the HTTP Texture checkbox on and off while clearing the cache via the menu and resetting Phoenix Firestorm... it was a mess but I was getting fed up with it :/ Rig Windows 7. nVidia GEForce GT 230M. Wired ADSL internet connection. I'm at the end of my wits on this one, I cannot find any new information or any new suggestions as it is starting to look like I have tried everything. This is a last-ditch effort in the hopes that someone out there has a crazy enough idea of what this is or how to fix it. Let me know what information you guys need and I'll supply it asap. Any ideas are welcome, I'm going crazy here D:
