  1. Its a chanced based mechanic that involves spending money for a chance at getting anything, literally the same thing as a slot machine, you put money in you get a prize, might not be the one you want but that's what you got. Anyone who claims this isn't gambling is just trying to make excuses, or trying to call them 'surprise mechanics' I also wanna point out to people that Gachas are a recent thing, SL economy was perfectly fine and frankly better before and it will be fine after.
  2. Unable to switch to a cable, but i have a super powerful wireless adaptor that i spent over 100 bucks on just to make sure it was as good as can be. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833281006 And this thing is connected to two usb 3.0 ports
  3. But this seems to be the case. If you look at the numbers of my card in the picture there, it caps out at 70% when it hits 990 mem useage. Now with texture compression on it dosent go above 920, i have no more issues. I think whats going on in reality is sl does need a 2gb card, or maybe its a vram thing, honestly i dont know how to measure it i just know what im seeing
  4. I have used all stress tests before, all passed with flying colors. The ping is just cus im on wireless and the sim was laggy. But i was informed recently that i should try to turn on texture compression cus SL requires a 2 gb card, and mine is 1. It seems to be working so far but will keep updated.
  5. This is my current power supply, i was told it might not be enough. And this is a constant issue http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182044
  6. ok, so here it is. My graphics card is having an issue with getting to a proper setting so it can run sl. Here is an example of what my normal fps and graphics card levels are. Now this is how my graphics load and card normally work when its not too stressed and things are smooth. Then suddenly when more avis come around, its fine at first. but then after a while suddenly, the area i am turns into this. Im sorry but for a 560 ti gtx overclocked with an i7 processor and 16 gigs of ram, most of which is unused and the cpu is taxed maybe to 20 - 25% this is silly as hell. CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz (2933.65 MHz) Memory: 16375 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1 (Build 7601) Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 560 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 Windows Graphics Driver Version: 9.18.0013.1407 OpenGL Version: 4.2.0
  7. Anyone notice their GPU useage never goes over 70% or is it just me? My benchmarking stuff puts it over 70 easy, so it seems like its only SL. the viewer seems to gradually use more and more gpu as time goes on untill it hits 70 then stops and my fps drops like a rock. CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz (2933.62 MHz) Memory: 16375 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1 (Build 7601) Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 560 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 Windows Graphics Driver Version: 9.18.0013.1407 OpenGL Version: 4.2.0 Viewer SSE Version: SSE2 libcurl Version: libcurl/7.21.1 OpenSSL/1.0.0g zlib/1.2.5 c-ares/1.7.1 J2C Decoder Version: OpenJPEG: 1.5.2 Audio Driver Version: FMOD Ex 4.44.04 Qt Webkit Version: 4.7.1 (version number hard-coded) Packets Lost: 66/71355 (0.1%)
  8. my gpu never goes over 50c, my cpu nerver goes over 55c
  9. No its not because i dont sit or fly much, usualy my issues happen when im just walking around for a while
  10. I can give more information if you guys want, i installed the new updated video card driver and there is less crashing, but things still move at a snails pace at times. I can barely break 15 or so fps which is what i used to get when i had my old gtx 260. Other games do great, Eve Online, Dishonored, Moden warfare, Anno 2070, all high graphics games do a great job on my rig. Just SL seeming to give me issues, and differnt issues on differnt viewers. All updated Save for the normal SL viewer, it flys untill i tp to a differnt sim and back, then the fps halfs Jus tlet me know what you need to see, i can give the dxdiag report if you want. I ran a test on my computer from futuremark, the 3dmark 11. here are the results http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/5618343
  11. Alright so i have asked everyone i can think of, talked to as many people i can contact and im here as a last resort, i cant figure this out... Exodus Viewer - Stable for a little bit, slow down when looking out away from my avi unless my draw distance is at 64 and with max number of non avatar imposters turned down to 1, then after a bit of that i crash. Singularity - Works great! 60+ fps, then it goes to 30 when moving around normally. then it drops down to 15, and after about a half hour it turns to 2, then 1.5, then goes down till i cant run it and must restart though never crashes during this. Firestorm/Pheonix - Works for about 10 minutes before it slows down to snail's pace when i have my draw distance out over 24, unusable unless im building on a platform or something. Regular sl viewer - Works great but crashes every half hour or so. 16. I had this in the questions area, but i need a discussion Im an estate manager of kataii wagon camp and the sim is so damn laggy, iv removed so many scripts yet every time i remove a chunk it drops the script time a bit but then it goes back up even though iv reduced over 2.0 MS in my top scripts, and iv restarted the sim a few times. im at a loss here -Adding more info- (Its usualy like this) Nothing going on, at the time this was taken there were 7 avi's on sim its an RP sim so yes some of the avis have over 50 scripts and such, but the script time on the top scripts window im fairly sure includes avis as it lists them in that window. the sim is Kataii Wagon Camp as i stated above

  21. it pops up on one moniter but that moniter never renders my avatars, i just become a floating pile of prims. so i move it to the second moniter and play it on there only. i did reinstall windows and i am currently looking up the log, will edit with info when have it. can you tell me what im looking for? there are alot of warning logs here...
  22. So who else has an issue with a hard crash, meaning suddenly your viewer just closes on you with no warning or crash report or anything? I have been having this issue since i switched from an ati card to an nvidia, it happened on my old 260 and its happening against on my new 560 Ti, it did not happen on my ati hd 5770. though on the ati i would get a mem lead that would freeze the viewer so bad id have to restart. I just did a full and complete format of my computer and deleted every old file i had, the computer itsself is clean. so what am i missing? ------------------ System Information ------------------ Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: To Be Filled By O.E.M.
