LL made the TOS to include this.. 1. CHANGES TO THIS AGREEMENT This Agreement may be changed by Linden Lab effective immediately by notifying you as provided in Section 13.4 below; provided that Material Changes will become effective thirty (30) days after such notification. By continuing to access or use Second Life after the effective date of any such change, you agree to be bound by the modified Terms of Service. A "Material Change" is a change to this Agreement which reduces your contractual rights or increases your responsibilities under this Agreement in a significant manner. What's the point in having a TOS if they're not going to follow it themselves..I have always been taught that we lead by example.

I'm disappointed that LL have shut Podex down in the manner they did, especially as they've gone against their own TOS, one minute they're trying to work with these companies the next they screw them over. I fully understood why LL made the decision they did, I didn't like it, but I understood, but there's nothing they can say that will make me feel they were right screwing Podex over in this way.

If you go to 'My Settings/Avatars you can select an image you want to use as your avatar from Uploaded images...hope that helps.

I'm in the UK and deal in GBP, The only means Podex were offering me was through Paypal but I've just taken a look again and I can now use a UKash voucher which is much more agreeable for me.

Why would that be Carl? Podex are going about things in the correct way, I'm sure LL would have stopped them trading in Lindens otherwise, or are you saying LL are unaware of what's going on around them? There is a downside, people without access to Paypal still can't buy Lindens through Podex, it's a shame things had to change but nothing remains the same way forever. I just toook another look at Avination, it's just as crappy as ever. I would rather be in SL without money.

The best and probably weirdest offer I've ever had was from a Guy who wanted me to dominate him and tell him what to do...so I told him to go away and never contact me again...and he listened!! I really don't know why some people have an issue with being 'hit on', it's improved my knock-back skills no end

As much as I support this, I too believe that such a move isn't the right way ahead. A very small proportion of SL users use these forums so it's not going to give an accurate figure of how many people the new TOS actually affect, LL will find out soon enough when some Sim owners can't afford to pay their tiers because some tennants can't buy L$ anymore, a particular problem I'm facing in the near future unless I can find a way forward that is suitable for me. On the plus side, I may actually get around to wearing all the clothes I've bought on SL over the years

I always USED to be able to, Kika...but I tried today with both these 3rd party merchants and it was refused...shame really, I trust Podex completely

Seems a bit pointless to me as I can't use Podex or AnsheX with my prepaid credit card as suddenly Paypal doesn't want to accept it since the changes...It's a conspiracy I tell you :smileysurprised: *Runs off to buy loads of crap off Amazon*

This whole affair is causing me issues atm. I have always used a pre paid Credit Card for SL...It's my way of keeping my spending in check. I have never been able to buy L$ off LL so have relied on 3rd party merchants without issue...now suddenly it's all stopped, I can use one company that I have used many times in the past, but suddenly Paypal won't accept my card to pay for L$. I won't be forced into using another method of payment, so I guess I won't be buying L$ unless things change, and I know LL are not to blame but it still sucks that I can buy C$ for Avination from 3rd party merchants.

Where are you from? I'm in the UK When did you join SL originally? Feb 2010 What have you mainly spent your time doing in SL in the past? The usual stuff... shopping, teaching myself how to build pointless quirky things, taking pics and wandering. How are you planning to spend your time in SL in 2013? I may go all out and make a few friends just for the hell of it.....

I own the female version of the GOS Docs and they are amazing, you can buy polish to change the colour, textures, laces etc, and the options on how to wear them are fantastic. I know they're a little more expensive but they are by far my favourite pair of boots, and I have had so many compliments, money well spent I think.

Hi Serena, there's a who bunch of us UK'ers on sl, unfortunately I'm out of your age range, but I meet fellow Brits everyday on sl...try the London Communities or some other welcome areas...I'm sure you won't be disappointed...GL

You could just type 'shape' in your inventory menu and choose a shape.
