  1. I'm a huge fan of LAQ skins, I use my own shape, spent many, many hours getting my avi to look as I want her..but there are a lot good skins out there, you just have to keep looking until you find the one that is you. GL with your search.
  2. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Trap-Gelf-Ears/4206201 Best I could find....maybe the same

I didn't even know they still existed till I was out sailing one day a few months ago and ran into it. Ok, no wonder I didn't recognise it
  4. That certainly does not look like the hub at Help Island, Perrie, you were at Help Island Public?
  5. Orca Flotta wrote: Hmm, I always wondered what these places are good for, really. I know when something goes awry during a TP you end up at one of those unwelcome centers and no-help islands. Then you take another LM and TP the fock outta there. I also know that some peepel actually like to hang out at these places. WTF??? Poor souls, bored and boring @$$wipes having nothing else to do than to mutually grief themselfishes. It's in fact the social underbelly of the SL population and no self-respecting avatar should spend any time at those sad sad locations. GUILTY AS CHARGED :matte-motes-not-entertained:
  6. Are you sure you mean Help Island, and not Orientation Island? I'm a regular at Help, and on the whole, other regulars are very nice, and so helpful. Sure, you get the odd troll and griefer, like any other Welcome Area, but most people that are regulars are not youngsters, but adults of an older age group. If you think Help Island is a bad place...steer clear of Korea, Ahern and Violet...scrap that, never go to any of the old Welcome Areas, they are all a hotbed of weirdos like me

After having learned my ways and ideas regarding dealing with these sims in the residents/visitors in them, I feel it will be a great learning event for both new and old users. And thank you Nancy, I will contact you as soon as soon I am able. As I've said, I am hoping to help new and old players, and make new friends, nothing regarding harming other users. Thank you for your repys all. This sounds so odd, if you like helping new residents why not find new places? What is so special about these sims? To say this sounds suspicious, would be an understatement.
  8. LoriLexa wrote: Hi Summer I didn't spend that much, about 100L. My mistake was not trying the demo. I usually try demos 95% of the time but I just grabbed these because I was happy that it had a hud with about 8 different color selections for the shoes & naills. From now on I'm trying demos 100% of the time. I will look into GOS, thank you for the recommendation. Hi Lori, You won't be disappointed but you may find yourself with a huge shoe fetish If you join the GOS Boutique group you'll get a 10% credit for every pair you buy (make sure to always wear the group tag when purchasing), also you'll find some exclusive deals from time to time. Have fun shopping there x
  9. They look better than they did, but it looks like your legs may need to be a little thinner, or try a large size shoe maybe. The colour match will always be an issue, simply because of lighting/other people's windlight setting, etc. I'm not sure how expensive the shoes were but I know I have spent 1000's of Lindens in the past on shoes I just couldn't get right, now I buy from GOS, no more colour matching, and a perfect fit everytime, they are not cheap, but worth every L$.
  10. GiaDefranco wrote: I couldn't find an ao liked either, your best bet is to make your own ! Its kind of a chore but that's the only way you will get one that your completely happy with. Almost all Ao's are the top. Vista is horrid when it comes to head movements by the way your avie will look every except in the direction of the person your talking too ! That was a pet peeve of mine as well. Not to mention they cost a fortune. why would you want to pay 1800 lindens just to keep your avie paused in one pose? that makes no sense. just saying. however if you don't want to make your own you might want to try oracul. They Have an ao called Bionic Girl , its really not too bad. No odd head movements, overly sexual poses, and your hands stay away from your hair and face for the most part. They also another series of ao's there Called Posing ( Lady, precute, beauty) these offer very calm poses but I suggest you switch out the walks in them..some of them are just plain silly looking. The avi isn't exactly paused in one pose, it's still animated, it just runs through the same animation IF you decide to pause it on that one, but each to their own, I never considered it an expensive buy, as it's something that has been with me for almost 4 years. I agree with the walks on the Oracul AO, absolutely awful.
  11. Try out some of the AO's at Vista Animations, you can stop the AO at one animation so you're not running through that whole sequence, so while some are quite animated others are more sedentary.
  12. My favourite used to be LAQ/ Laqroki, I stuck to the same hair for 3 years...now I buy hair from most of the places already mentioned and tend to change my style frequently, depending on what I wear. Flexi can be great, but it depends on your AO, some are very animated and the longer styles can disappear into the body. So try as many Demo styles as you can, see which work with your AO best, and don't get stuck in a rut like I once did. P.S. if you like to wear gowns for dancing, nothing looks nicer than an updo, it shows off the dress and if you get a flexi one with loose curls it moves beautifully. GL on your quest.
  13. I used to be called Barbie, so many people said my avatar looked like Barbie, until one day someone said I looked like Paris Hilton...that was a step too far!! I've evolved since then and now I just look like Summer (who likes to think she's a celeb in her own right ). You see all sorts around the grid, Michael Jacksons, Superman etc, each to their own, but individuality does it for me every time. If you do find your JayZ, make sure he puts a ring on it.

I'm unsure where you bought the fatpack at that price, there were 3 listings for Isabella on the MP store, but all were 950L each, and there's no longer an inworld store, maybe you can clear this up?
  15. Try SF Design http://tinyurl.com/os7pexz ...I changed the Marketplace link to a tiny URL, not for you to think my link is unsafe (The business catagory was a HUGE link)
  16. Did you buy a complete outfit? If so you may need to wear all the outfit as the Alpha layer seems to suggest there should be other items. Is there another alpha layer in the folder? I have a few outfits that have several Alphas so I can wear just one item instead of all. Failing this, contact the seller and tell them of the problem, and if you have another alpha layer in your inv that may work, try that, sometimes I'm not entirely happy with the alphas in the outfit folders but I can always find a more suitable one in my inv somewhere.
  17. iceing Braveheart wrote: with the exception of my last pc all my pc's in history have never worked with sl it is good to have closure finally as to what the bloody hell was wrong with the app second life all these years and I stand by thread title, businesses like to grow and gain/increase profit this hole apps a cash shop micro transaction shop I cannot see how second life can achieve this when there software will not work with store bought pc's most people will not go to the forum just shrug it off and leave look for something else to do, and those who contact linden lab's will be blow en off with a copy and past message and support ticket closed saying take a hike file a bug report in the jira and if they do fallow through and file the jira they will find them selfs in a situation that is being back burned and there jira ticket closed as duplicate along with 1,000's of others before them the forum is about the only place I can find to leave feedback for this particular app as the support system & jira appears worthless in this situation this is second life's future on the current path they walk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CyberTown So it's not just new PC's that don't work with SL? Just go to IMVU if that works for you, or play WoW or one of the other many games that you can access on your PC. IF LL read these forums, they have seen your complaint, so rambling on about it is futile.
  18. You seem to have a few different problems. I'm unsure about the IM one, is it you or her who are taking other IM's at 'intimate' moments? It looks like that may be happening both sides. You cannot control her side of that, but you can put up your busy sign which will alert anyone trying to contact you that you are otherwise engaged. As for tracking someone across the grid, if you don't trust people enough to be faithful to you then what is the point in trying to spy on them? You find out they're having fun behind your back, then what? Without trust the relationship is already doomed.
  19. Sephina this is something I didn't know but I Googled the answer, I've always used the arrow keys... I learnt something new, thanks The best way to do this is to open preferences, select Text Chat and tick "Close chat bar after hitting return". When this option is activated chat bar will auto close after you saying a line of chat. In that way you can move around with WASD, when you want to say something in local chat you hit enter (chat bar appears), you type in your message, hit enter again, it gets sent and chat bar goes into hiding again.
  20. To turn off your mic, go to Edit/Pref/Voice Chat, not sure what you mean by Favourite Locations, if you mean TP history you'll find that under the View Tab, otherwise your saved LM's are in your Inv...hope this helps. ETA...there is a favourites under the World Tab, but all it brought up for me was a blank box, I have no idea what it is :matte-motes-not-entertained:
  21. Sirius Selona wrote: I like to go sailing in the Blake Sea. Unfortunately, the last couple of months one or more griefers have taken over the boat rez dock I like to use at a Linden Hub island. At least one person runs continuous attacks with follower objects. I say at least one, because it's hard to tell for sure. There could be more than one actual individual, or it could be one individual running multiple alts and/or bots. Having been in SL myself since May 2009, I know how to getting rid of griefer objects by teleporting to another sim, or sitting on a prim, or non-physical vehicle, etc. But I don't know how to stop a follower object if I want to stay at a location like a dock with my boat. Also, people have AR'd about this situation, but because it's hard to know who the actual individual(s) is who causes this griefing, I'm not sure LL can or will do anything. Is there anyone on this forum who either knows of a defensive script or method that will stop a follower object? Or maybe even reflect or return the object back on its owner? I'm posting this now in hopes a discussion can at least get started, and tomorrow morning (Pacific time) I will try to get a screen cap of one of the offender objects/avatars/bots and post it here. Thanks to all in advance. I'm actually at the spot now, it seems to be a dumping ground for bots and the like, very odd place with some very old bots.
  22. Maybe go dressed as Mr Heisenberg? https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Walter-White-Cutout-Avatar-boxed/5352458 Top it off with this https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/HOC-Industries-The-Heisenberg-Unisex-pork-pie-style-hat/5367172 On a more practical note, I don't really bother decorating my home as only I see it, so I'm not much help there, sorry.
  23. Making assumptions doesn't make something so...and I did not buy this laptop with SL specifically in mind, but I was mindful that I would want to access SL on it, I can't always be at my PC, and I do like logging in to SL, so I found something that would suit all my needs. If I was playing WoW this wouldn't have been any use, I would have looked at other systems, but I still suggest he tries Singularity, because I do believe he wants to spend time on SL, otherwise he wouldn't have created this thread.
