  1. I still can't log into it because apparently it won't take an updated password. The last time I was able to get in was like 3 or 4 passwords ago so I can't remember what it was. I've filed a support ticket and have heard nothing back. Was anyone in that situation and if so, were you able to finally get in?
  2. Why wouldn't there be a "relevance" option in the Classifieds tab even? LAQ pays 30K and does not end up on top in that tab, but does in Web Search. Granted, most will use Web Search, but to disregard the exact search term is really poor. Needs a serious overhaul.
  3. By the way, ONLY TWO of of the 15 before us on the list has even the word "spot" in the title. Amazingly bad service. What's your answer Linden Labs?
  4. More griping about how bad Search is! I've been paying 50L per week for more than seven years. I will no longer pay for this. "Second Life: Your search query was modified and the words that were too short were removed." The name of our company is SPOT ON Choreography Tools - Websearch we're number 8 in the list, Classified search, we're 16 (sorted by price) on the list or number 10 (sorted alphabetically). BUT NONE are exactly the words Spot On except us.
  5. FYI: I created a forum post on this in 2017 by the way. Take a look at the screenshots there because it was a lot worse then but I feel it may be getting that way again. What Dakota Linden said was that users should report the abuser so that Governance could look into it. I think that residents shouldn't be responsible for reporting this.
  6. Maybe three strikes, you're out!
  7. The same happened to me some years ago when I owned a club. We had only three shows on Saturday, different performer each of the three hours - "Guitar Heaven - Name of Performer." Clearly different times, different names, etc. The only thing the same was the "Guitar Heaven" part of the name yet it was labeled spam and rejected. People were then posting the same event name but under different user accounts and I reported them with quite a bit of community support. This particular one that I showed in the image above was the same user account. Obviously that person knows how to get past the system by changing the name of the event....even to the extent of misspelling the name of the club. I don't want to slam LL for this but it does appear to be sliding back into people just being jerks and whoever / whatever was policing events is not doing a great job, again.
  8. I thought they were cracking down on this stuff before too. They are all posted by the same user account as well, all at the same time, any decent filter should catch that.
  9. Yep, I realize they are worded differently. Still, I'm asking LL to fix this nonsense.
  10. OH sorry man for not standing still waiting for you to come back from 2012.
  11. Why does this get by? With many previous users coming back into SL, it's a pure shame that this kind of stuff happens in Event Search! How does this get by? Come on LL, please fix search.
  12. Which category are you choosing when filing the AR's?
  13. @Whirly Fizzle What category do you choose when filing an AR?
  14. Well the more the merrior YYC1. You also can file an abuse report and I hope you do. This Elite Escort Club that I mention have different wording in their listings but none are even about an event. But they all have "@Elite Escort Club" in their subject line. You'd think that LL's algorythm would pick that up!
  15. Well, I thought it was cleaned up but now Elite Escort club is spamming. They get away with it by just putting different text in name of event when it's not an event at all. Did an abuse report on Elite Escort Club for their 30+ event listings, 3 to 4 per hour.
  16. Seems the ones I can find from this list have been closed or nothing done about it since first reported in 2016.
  17. I tried both Dakota, several times, and never saw them despite refreshing and logging in/out, many times. Plus, using your example of cross-referencing is exactly what we're talking about. In my mind, that also is false advertising and spamming. If I am searching for a military vehicle, I don't expect to see a bunch of military uniforms. I'd search military uniform if I was looking for one of those! A few years ago, one of my listings was removed by LL saying it was wrongly categorized for something similar to what you describe. It was a genuine accident on my part because I was lazy I guess and didn't drill down the categories enough when posting several at once. Only one was removed and I correctly relisted. And ever since this is something I am really careful about not repeating. It seems others are very blatant and get away with it. I believe the standards have gotten so lax in the last few years and I truly hope LL realizes that there are still thousands of us who are in Second Life and who will choose to stay there. I tried Sansar and have no intentions of moving my business there. How about not abandoning us!
  18. A "Report" button would be great and I'm even for charging a nominal listing fee. It seems spam went rampant when they started allowing friends. Thank you Whirly!
  19. I will no longer pay for product promotions on MP because not one time did I ever see my product in said promotion. I saw the same designers over and over, but never my own.
  20. Sorry Dakota, I have neither the time nor the inclination to do the job of the Governance Team by filing abuse reports on event spamming. The problem is rampant and what angeoco describes is absolutely my experience.
  21. No, the system doesn't work. Did you look at my screenshots? Same place, same time, same date. Just an hour ago.
