  1. There's a button on that HUD that removes all scripts from the body. If you have pressed this, deliberately (perhaps, not knowing what it would do) or accidentally while attending to do something else, your body will stop responding to the HUD. Wearing both the HUD AND the body from a recovery should resolve the issue, if that's the case. First two solutions, however, should always be to relog, then to teleport to a different, quiet sim that has scripts enabled.
  2. Tweenster is a mesh body, yes? If so, it should have come with a HUD, and that HUD should either be or include an alpha cuts section. You use that to hide parts of the body that poke through certain clothing items. It'sa easier than changing your body for every piece of clothing you own - which doesn't work well anymore, anyway, since fitmesh clothing adjusts with the body.
  3. The MA chart mentioned above is a great guide to adjusting your own shape. It will likely need modification to be fully usable with a mesh body, but it's easy to do on the fly. If you edit your shape and just yank the belly slider to the right, you get a weird looking pointy belly. Generously adjusting body fat and adding some belly, however, gives a much more natural look. Of course, this makes the entire body thicker; but that would, to a degree, happen in a RL pregnancy. As an alternative, the Lab belly is lovely, although available in only one size (as far as I know), so for the early months you'll still have to edit your own shape. The Apple May belly has a few sizes but, to my knowledge, is not yet Maitreya compatible. For both, you'll have to use omega applier clothing, unless you can find some non-fitmesh maternity mesh clothing to wear. Editing your own shape allows you to use your current fitmesh clothing. For the chest, add both size and gravity.
  4. Both. Always both. Even creators who utilize both methods may have items available on one that aren't on/in the other. New items, for instance, may be made available inworld before they wind up on the Marketplace, while older but still lovely releases may have leftthe inworld store and be available only on the Marketplace - sometimes at a discount! I've also seen notes on marketplace listings that the item is available inworld for a lower price (which makes sense, a little, since MP takes a percentage of each sale made on it if I recall correctly). It's easy to miss gorgeous items by using only Marketplace, or only inworld stores.
  5. Sadly, not that I know of. Genus skins, unlike LOGO, are for Genus only. Genus does work with omega, though; although personally, I've been unable to find an omega skin I like on the Genus head. The eyes and lips always end up looking too strange to me. Omega makeup works okay most of the time so far, though.
  6. I'm rocking Wonder Woman from Dirty Princess this year; it's a gorgeous costume, has a comic and movie version included, and isn't any more sexualized or revealing than the actual costume worn by the character. Figure out who or what you want to be, and use those search terms instead of looking for costumes. "Witch," "vampire," "fairy" - those can be identities in SL, not just costumes, and so they may not be marketed as costumes. Salem (an inworld event) has some fantastic Halloween items, including clothing, hair, makeup, and accessories. You could easily put together a costume there. In fact, many current events inworld are Halloween themed or have some Halloween items featured in honor of October.
  7. Blueberry also has a couple pairs of jeans made to work with specific shoes from Reign; the ones that come to mind are the Pizza jeans. Possibly worth a look.
  8. Don't worry; it's not just you. This topic comes up in mesh body groups pretty frequently. Unfortunately, there is no way to see what skin you have applied to your body, unless you also happen to still be wearing the applier. Try a marketplace search? I used keywords venus AND kemono AND male (the shading on the chest strikes me as masculine), which narrowed things down to a reasonable 14 pages. With pictures, which might makes things easier than searching through your inventory blind. From that search, it kind of reminds me of this one? https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/KRR-Xalph-Skin-mod-for-M3-VenusKurooKemono/14832047 But there are no pictures showing the body, so it's hard to say. In the future, I'd suggest saving outfits with the appliers in them. If you have one you almost always wear, try a folder labeled "default" or something, add everything you think should go in threat folder - body, head, controller HUDs, appliers, even a most commonly used hair or whatever else you typically have on - and save the outfit. If this ever comes up again, you'll have your favorite applied conveniently at hand for recovery.
  9. Technically the same outfit as last time...but new head! I finally got my Genus head somewhere I'm reasonably happy with.
  10. I suspect that the subject of politics in and of itself is not banned specifically either from the forums or in the world. However, it is a highly emotionally loaded subject for many people. The inevitable arguing, name-calling, and general bullying and abuse that almost any political conversation devolves into would violate the terms of service and or Community guidelines. You probably wouldn't get banned for talking about politics, but you or others might get banned if and when the conversation became too heated. It's probably best to keep those conversations out of Second Life. I definitely wouldn't recommend having them on the forums or in an unrelated or general chat group in world. If you really really must, find a politically dedicated group in world and discuss there. But be prepared for the consequences.
  11. This shot is AWFUL, but...I got a ferret! So that makes up for it, right? Also, redid my land for Fall. Because Autumn is the best time of year.
  12. Check out Izzie's for the pasties; they came right up in MP search.
  13. I think at least one head creator does an "androgynous" head, and you could probably manipulate it to skew more masculine. I also know that Pink Fuel has at least once androgynous skin for female heads, so that might be worth a look. As for the female parts showing, some skins offer a "PG" version that basically barbie-doll's the chest and genital areas. Looks for those, or for flesh-toned "pasties" for the genitals, if you can find them. That coupled with your "male part" might help.
  14. If nothing else suggested here works, strip. Seriously. In this case it's probably not necessary to go all the way down to the four basics - skin, shape, eyes, hairbase - but take off clothes, shoes, AO, any and all HUDs, etc. You should be able to leave on your mesh body (and head, if you have one), and you'll need to keep the hands on to if it works. There may be a script in one of the items you're wearing, possibly an obscure one you wouldn't suspect, that is, for some reason, keeping that hand still. Strip off, then find something that should animate your hands and see ifit works. If it does, add everything back on one at a time until you find the culprit. (This shouldn't be necessary; I suspect the problem will be resolved by one of the suggestions mentioned by others, but I have had this happen before where the cause was another item I had on. If nothing else works, it's worth a go.)
  15. Mama Allpa doesn't affect the body, so you can use it with any body. It's a HUD only; it doesn't change your shape or otherwise interact with your body. It will work just as well with Kemono as with anything else.
  16. I would say differently curvy. Hourglass is designed to be "acceptably" curvy - which is to say, very thin but with exaggerated breasts and butt. "Sexy curvy." Freya is designed to be more realistically curvy, with thicker limbs and a thicker waist overall. Both can be modified to tone down those features, but you can't get rid of them entirely. I'm afraid, OP, that until and unless you save up and get the Physique, you're stuck with that larger bum. ...so, short answer: yes, Hourglass is designed to have a big butt.?
  17. OP photographed the ad inworld and posted it, but the ad itself was likely made using a separate program. Or, at least, the base of it was: the person, which is what the OP wants to emulate. The items and accessories MAY have been photoshopped onto the model, or are also part of the 3d rendering. It is, as previously mentioned, distressingly common nowadays; although, really, it's always happened. I recall a shoe creator I used to love who did this - prim feet in prim shoes, with the ads made using a 3d program so that what you bought never looked quite the same as the ad. It's frustrating, since it makes the final look impossible to achieve inworld. We've gotten pretty far in SL, but detail like that isn't really feasible, still. Might still be worth asking the clothing creator behind the ad, but don't be surprised if the answer is "I don't remember." Inworld groups are still worth a shot; that particular skin may not exist, but something similar likely does, somewhere. I know of one creator offhand who does a tattoo finge this purpose, but she does female skins; "femboy" or androgynous are the closest you'd probably get, there.
  18. That's why you posted, but hey! Welcome to public forums, which have a way of taking on a life of their own. Once you've posted, anyone can respond (more or less) however they'd like. No one's been rude, or even exceptionally off topic, so count yourself lucky. Skell Dagger's got a lovely blog that may help you out; I've definitely seen him post "softer," less muscle-bound skins in the past. You can also try sharing that photo or similar photos depicting your desired look in a couple groups inworld and see if anyone has advice for similar skins. Mesh Body Addicts and Skin Addiction have been quite helpful to me in the past. As it happens, that designer also has a Flickr and still seems active in SL, so you could also consider messaging them inworld or commenting on the image on Flickr inquiring about the skin (although, to my inexperienced eye, it looks photoshopped, kind of heavily, maybe.) Wish I had more, but I'm not personally well-versed in the world of men's items in SL. Good luck!
  19. If you're using the correct tone in your body HUD, it should match your classic head with minimal difference. But. One pitfall of pairing mesh and classic parts is that they react differently to lighting, the same way your skin and a barbie doll do. Light reflects differently off the two surfaces. Default lighting in SL is notoriously awful, so a different windlight, like CAL WL or nam's optimal, might also help minimize the issue. This will only work for you; others see you according to their light settings. Even perfect skin matching using matching appliers can encounter this issue, and the first advised fix is almost always to change lighting.
  20. Malls are much less common than they used to be in general. There are a few still up, here and there, but lately it seems like everyone has their own sim, or shares with two or three other people, resulting in a few large stores per sim rather than a bunch of small stores/vendors grouped together mall-style. ...so the difficulty in finding them isn't just you. As far as if any for furries do still exist and where...I sort of doubt it, but wouldn't rule it out. Can't point you anywhere specific, though.
  21. Yes, yes they do. That's why there's a shape included. It's (supposed to be) the base shape the head was made on, which you tweak to customize to your tastes. I've found it easiest to copy all of my body numbers into a notecard, modify the shape included with the head to use those numbers, then mess with head and face sliders. It's possible to start with any random modifiable shape and get something usable, but it's much, much harder than it needs to be, and you need a lot of patience and the ability to see past the alien squishiness to the potential of the head.
  22. I remember Wasabi Pills having a nice one a while back. They may still have it, or others. Truth is almost sure to have one or two as well.
  23. Are you looking for a content creator to build you an avatar from scratch, or a personal shopper to put together a full look for your from currently existing content? Cost will be drastically different, depending. Either way, an idea of your budget and a basic concept of your avatar might help. Furry, human, mythical creature, other? How much are you prepared to spend - either to hire a custom content creator, or to hire a personal shopper and purchase the recommended items?
  24. [Encore] has a Shades fatpack with tons of simple, solid colors. I use them quite often. ETA: reading first, the ones I mentioned aren't matte. I do like them, though. Also seconding alaskametro.
