I've been thinking about the lack of a CEO recently - I hope someone is appointed to the role soon, seems a long time to be without one, but maybe this is normal for companies of this size? When LL have finally finished their investigations, as per Brad's statement, and if they publish a statement about that and the revised policies, as part of that I would like to know if some of the allegations of the piece that started this whole thing are actually viable or not (in terms of scripting, financial matters etc.). Because if it isn't they really should make that clear and reassure people. Unless someone here can enlighten me (PM me please so it doesn't push this thread off topic).

Unfortunately I think no matter what they do the issue is bound to come up again, simply because of the nature of SL and the internet. The main crux of the original post is something not just SL is having to grapple with online - there's no one solution tha will guarantee a 100% fix. But of course, doing something is better than doing nothing...

This brings to mind what I think is notable is that notable changes were made to the places mentioned in the original blog post immediately after it - to my mind, if there was nothing wrong with the way things were set up, and the blog post completely innacurate, then why did it change (you could see it in the inworld map) so quickly after that post...not coincidence...

I'm glad they've said something rather than nothing, although it's the kind of PR response you would expect from any company. Having said that, I do like that they are honest enough to admit "this has been a harsh wake-up call for us". I note that it says "While early preliminary internal investigations suggest that some of the accusations are unfounded", implying some of them were. I wouldn't expect to hear any more about it, investigation or not, and I expect this thread will be shut at some point.

Brit here - we say 'maths' - I thought it was weird when I first heard Americans say 'Math' - still does sound weird to me😀

Having fun on the Love Train for Valentine's Day...💞 Quite a few people queued up early to hop on the trains. It was a lovely trip , although the driver disappeared at one point so we had a runaway train, but we got to the destination safely:)

Do you need one notecard per image, or can we put a few images in one notecard (with the relevant information required for each)? Also, when dropping notecards there's no confirmation or anything in chat, so I did it more than once as it's not clear if I dropped the notecard correctly or not - so you may get multiples...

I'm not on the Plus plan so I won't be getting one of these, but I do think they're really nicely done. I think they have an elegant feel. I particularly love the long windows and love love love the balconys! They (the balconys) are the best out of the homes so far IMO. It's great that some of the demo homes have been furnished again. Adding an optional fireplace is a nice touch.

Well as you're all writing to Santa Patch guess I'd better add my wishes to the list too!😁 I don't ask for much, I'm a humble soul (teehee), all I'd like next year is some additional floor plans for the Stilts:) Of course I'd love to see some new 1024 themes too, but I can live without that if necessary (they would have to be on water and better than the stilts to tempt me to move!). I have treats outside my Linden home for Christmas, and Santa Patch (and all the mole-elves) are welcome to have some. Happy Holidays!

What I've started doing is to set up a dedicated folder for the event that I go to, so if I pick up a gift I put it straight in there. Then I can easily find it and unpack later at my leisure. Keeps things nice and organised. Then when I unpack an item, if I like it it'll go in the relevant category folder I already have set up (e.g. Clothing>Dresses>Christmas Dresses, or Household>Rugs), If I'm not sure about it I'll leave it in the folder, and if I dislike it I'll trash it. I've also over time started to be more judicial about what freebies I pick up. It's great if there's an image showing what the gift is, so I can decide if it's something I really like. Otherwise I'll just get it and decide later. I appreciate the generosity from a lot of creators. There have definately been times where a freebie has introduced me to a creator I wasn't aware of before, and prompted me to buy something from their store because of the quality of the gift. I've got some awesome things over time, and those creators stand out to me, especially if it's something I think is really generous or high quality (like a fatpack item of quality clothing, rather than a single colour item). So it can be a good marketing tool. After many years in SL you can amass a lot of stuff, both bought and free. I've recently been going through and organising stuff I hadn't before - I didn't realise how many of certain items I had, or duplicates. I'd recommend to anyone starting out in SL to straight away set up folders and subfolders for categories of items so you can go back and find them easily. Get organised from the start. With the awesome new image preview function for inventory, my mission over the coming year (and I've already started), is to go through everything in my inventory and add preview images to the item top level folder, or trash it if I've not or will never use it (I have lots that I don't use or even like much). Yeah... will probably take me a year to do that lol. 😰

Yes to this. It's been ask for a few times before, but now with the Belli hub it would be a great time to set up something whereby residents can get tjhe packs from there or the other house demo region. If LL have been reluctant to do that because of concerns about people not keeping within theme, I'm not so sure that's an issue. There are things in the packs which can be suitably reused across themes. It would be a nice Thanksgiving/Christmas present @Patch Linden 😁 I haven't visited the sanbox yet, but it sounds like a great idea!:)

A new theme reveal for Christmas would be a lovely SL Christmas present...maybe at the Christmas Expo. If I'm good until then maybe Santa will grant my wish!😁(If they don't, don't come blaming me for not behaving lol).

I think tree houses is a lovely idea - it was something floated around and suggested back in the earlier days of the new homes project. Not for me, I love my Stilt, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of residents eager to try one. I hope we see some more floor plan updates in the future (ahem..Stilts...pretty please @Patch Linden..with a cherry and sprinkles and sparkles on top...☺️)

I've not ever found that search works like this. Things only tend to appear in area search for me when I'm within about 50-80 meters, regardless of draw distance. Is there some other setting to check?

I haven't added mine to any list nor looked at a list, but one thing about this year is that there is more ground to cover, as more homes have been released since the last hunt.
