I am a bit confused about environments VS experiences. What I want to do is have is a script (somewhere) calculate a set of azimuth/elevations for the Sun position over a 24 hour day (I can figure out how to do this part) and then input those into an an environment that my Avatar would see. I would change the script parameters : Lat, Lon and day of the year. Is it possible to use llSetAgentEnvironment to replace the entire track of the sun, i.e. setting a whole list of keyframes in the sun cycle? Or would I have to constantly keep update the sun position every few seconds and manage timing in the script?

Where would an EEP script usually be run from? When you say "the Experience" does this have to relate to a parcel or can it relate to my own EEP environment's?

Hi Rider: I am not exactly clear on where LSL scripts containing commands to alter, say my own avatars environment would reside. I am a very basic scripter and the script usually resides in an object in SL. Would I be able to write a script that is in something I am wearing and have that script change my personal evironment? Hi Jenna: Thanks for the info, looking for approx anyways, it will help with a go/nogo for solar cells. I want to visualize the shadows and I already have a scale model of my place in SL. All I need are the angles of the sun to be close to my RL angles. I'm familiar with the suncalc website. I have been looking at EEP and it seems to allow you to set the sun position via scripts and/or preset day cycles. I am investigating that now.

Hi All: I've been using SL for awhile to visualize changes to my house and property, so I have a reasonably accurate 3d model of my property. I am now looking at installing solar panels on my RL carriage house. Are there any tools that would allow you to model the actual position of the sun based on the Long/Lat position and date/time. I have several shadow sources and I am trying to get an assessment of their impact. What I was thinking was acquiring some land, setting the Lat/Long then running some models Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks When

Thank you very much Ciaran, I will give that a try. I wonder why the billing support line could not have told me this. You got to think that billing issues this big would be know by every Linden Lab person.

I dont know what's going on, I've been on second life for more than 3 years and all of a sudden Linden Labs will no longer allow Canadians to buy lindens. I called the billing support number and I got a ridiculous answer and was told to call a number in the UK to find out about billing in Canada. I was told that it was a toll free number. 44-203 3620 268. This is not a toll free number. This is very serious, if we cannot buy lindens well its very unlikely that we will be on for much longer, I've been an active builder and merchant for 3 years and this is not something i would like to see happen. But I just cannot do business or even maintain my residences and stores if i cant transfer lindens
