  1. I have been sharing links to my YouTube channel with people in SL and they are been saying they are not able to access it. To be safe, I should probably advise them open the link outside of SL. Thanks for sharing!
  2. You may have better luck than my group. We have been supporting Lupus UK and Lupus Foundation of America for 6th years in Second Life with an entire sim dedicated to Lupus Awareness but after two submissions since May 1st, we are not able to be listed as a desitination. However, there is one for the Trump Mansion and something for Bernie Sanders . . . We have given up being that it is only throughout the month of May but it was truly disappointing.
  3. I am biting the bullet and will be trying my hand at creating my own animations for items that I sell. After making that decision, I researched the programs that will allow me to do that but I would appreciate any links to websites, blogs, youtube videos or anything else that would offer good tutorials and helpful information for someone that has never done this before. The most that I have done is setting up the animations via AVsitter and changing things in the notecard which was easy. Thanks in advance!
  4. Deja - This is the statement that caused me to believe you thought that we had not researched this person. I sincerely apologize if that was not your meaning: "And before someone says well why should she pay when she has no proof they were stolen...I think we're all smart enough to be able to do a little research (as in go to their shop and see) if they really do belong to that creator. I think saying you can't tell is just not believable if you've compared them. I think it would be easy to play them side by side and be able to tell. I just don't think that has been done by the OP perhaps? I dont know."
  5. Deja - Come on. You were in the meeting where another person who purchased them along with myself stated how much research we did before purchasing so for you to even go there leaves me baffled. The other individual even contacted other animators about the person in question's product. We found nothing so please do not say we did not try to make sure we were buying from an honest person and you did not know. The other person and I said that we did in that meeting, where you were as well. This issue is not about the person that stole them. There is nothing that I can do about that. The person who had items stolen from them has to start the ball rolling. MY ISSUE is that there was no reason to threaten me and add me to a list. I DELETED the animations as soon as I got the message from Xavier, not because of his threats . . . I don't give a damn about his rude ass to be blunt. I did it because of other animators who would lose revenue and also for anyone that would have purchased my items and then have nothing, if and when they were removed. It could come out that what Xavier stated was not true and I STILL deleted them, just in case. So does that sound like someone that deserved to be put on a watch list? I do not think so. I could have kept them until an end result and made some money in the process but I didn't. When individuals start adding others to "lists" just to watch what they MAY Do and they have no authority over anything, that leads to problems.
  6. Whoa! Nuria . . . how do you know how I responded to Xavier? I never posted my response here. Interesting . . . And for your information, an animator that I have done business with contacted me and this was part of her question to me . . . "What is your connection to <insert name of alleged thieft here>. So if Xavier or someone else from the Scooby Doo Mystery Van did not share my name via a list or word of mouth, where did this animator get it this information from, along with the name of the man that I purchased from? I pay my monthly fees like anyone else and I do NOT have to bow down to Xavier begging him to come over and check out the animations. He provided nothing except threats. Why would I think that I should show anyone like that anything? What he is pissed about is that I stood up to him and his threats and I would do it again. At any rate, for a LL representative to tell me to file against him, after they read his message to me, I think that speaks volumes.
  7. Thank you to everyone that has been supportive. I received some very helpful advice here and via private messages. I will not contribute to this thread any longer being that I feel I can not contribute further without doing so in anger. If any of you know anyone that sells full perm adult animaitons, please send me a message in world. I am going to try my hand at created my own but that may take a loooong time to master. Take Care.
  8. If you do not see the issue with challenging someone's integrity, there is no need for me to go any further explaining why I am angry, to you. I did nothing to land on some list where I am being watched by some people who appointed themselves as the Second Life Police. To have someone that I have purchased animations from ask me what my connection is to the person that Xavier says sold stolen animations shows that my name is being drug through the mud for no reason. I may not be able to purchase full perm items due to this. Get it now??
  9. I deleted my post because I felt like he did not deserve any words from me. He is stuck on "Poor Xavier" and he is not seeing the problems that he has caused. If Xavier would have contacted me in a respectful and professional manner, that would have been different. I would have appreciated him letting me know that I had purchased stolen animations and I would have tried to do what I could, IF anything to put the person that stole them out of business. What Xavier did was contact me with threats and informed me that I was now on several lists . . . he had become "Big Brother" and he was watching. He had no proof that the items were stolen, there was no list of the items to provide to me and he had no proof that I purchased them (I did). He just rode in on his big white horse called assumption, brandishing his sword at me like I was the thief and he was going to save all of Second Life from me. That is not how you contact someone respectfully. I honestly think that Xavier's act could divide a community of good people. I am scared to purchased anything from anyone now. Not that I worry that it may have stolen content because I would just stop using it and lindens come and go. What I fear is being added to another witch-hunt list when I did nothing wrong. I know of others that have joined me in this and just imagine if that continues. What will that do for the Second Life economy? Xavier, you had no right to contact me the way that you did and being part of adding my name to any watch-list is the act of a coward. Your efforts should be focused more on people that you KNOW steal from others and how to prevent then from doing so, the right way. You have no idea if my store would be supplementing my RL income or anything about me. Now you have tarnished my name and the store that I was promoting more seriously. I had gone to Sylva's before all of this happened to find out how to become part of her builder's group so that I could purchase full perm animations. What do you think may happen when she sees my name? If I were her, I would probably deny it too because according to Xavier, Emuna deals in stolen animations. Thanks a lot, Xavier. Good job!
  10. Thank you for all the good feedback. The animator was able to find me because he saw my name in the group of the man that supposedly stole animations from various creators. He had no proof that I had purchased any (I had) so his messaging me with finger point was based on assumption and I find that unprofessional. I have no respect for this man at all. There was a much better way to handle that. I did as the LL representative told me although I now know that I can do nothing against the one that may have stolen the animations being that they were not my content. I also file one against the animator for adding me to some list. At this point, I am in limbo because I have these items that I created using the animations but I can't sell them because I have no idea if they were stolen or not. So my opening for the new location has been put on hold. As for getting my lindens back, I doubt that I will but this sure has me not wanting to buy anything from anyone to use in my creations. I have nothing to protect me, the merchant. The animations were very nice. There was a group for beds, showers and hotubs. I did block the one that contacted me but I am going to send him a link here so he can defend himself and the store he works for, if he choses.
  11. I did not use either name because I did not want an issue to come up where the Mods had to close this topic. I think it is important and I hope that merchants who buy items to use in their creations can get some help. I will message you.
  12. I just ended a LiveChat session with a representative of LL and I am even more frustrated than I was before I called. I got an email from an animator of a well known store in SL and he basically told me that the person I had purchased animations from was a Content Thief and had caused many animators problems in SL. He went on to say that I had been placed on a "Watch List" and that other creators and business owners would be watching my items. Basically, he spoke to me like I had stolen animations. Needless to say, I was livid. Not that he contacted me but the way that he spoke to me in the email. When I purchased the animations that costed me 10,000L, I found nothing that would have caused me to think that person selling them was stealing from anyone. Granted that I do not know all of the groups that list Content Thieves but I used what I could; his name was not listed any place, at the time. He had a store, people were there shopping, there was a group with others that were store owners like myself . . . I TRIED to make sure that I was dealing with a person that was honest. I am making my own sculpts and textures now but I depends on others for animations like I am sure so many of you are. It is not fair that we are caught in the middle and placed on some list like we did something wrong. I lost money because I surely will not use the animations once LL tells me that he did steal them, so I am a victim too. LL's solution was that I file a complaint on the one that I purchased the animations from and the person that placed me on some Watch List because he is tarnishing my reputation. I started my store in 2007 and recently became more serious about it which means putting in more money. I do not need the slandering of my name and my store. Any suggestions?
  13. Thank you. I would have been here sooner, had I know that there was so much to share and learn here.
  14. As the years go by, the skins and shapes get better for a girl like me that wants her avatar to have the same dark skin, kinky hair, and shape as rl. One day, I might explore being something different but for now, I am happy this way. :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:
