  1. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I dont think you understand what put every posible color combination in every size would mean. Say you have a regular mesh dress just a dress with no accesories belts or whatever. With an average material number of 4, in 5 standard sizes plus fitmesh. I offer around 30 textures in every pack. The scripts allows costumers to choose what parts they change so they can mix textures and such. This will mean i would have to make all the possible combinations (more than a thousen) and then multiply that by 6 ( each size) and then put those thousens dresses inside a box. I dont think thats a posibility really. The other option is to just, like i did in the past offer one single color per box. I think that is more restraining than to add a script and make it no mod. Plus i dont think its totally fair to just charge full price for a hue change of a texture. To be fair, the script does work, and does what its supposed to, that is change textures. I just think it will be better if it had a delete me option whitin it. Also, about new users, a box with a gazillion option dresses is far more complicated to use than just 5 sizes and some buttons. I dont think merchants should be pointed out on every problem of sl, we are not forcing products on people. I think users should know that they cant put everything is out there at one time and expect not to lag. I agree, that the kill me button should be there, i dont agree that the scripts should be not used untill they are perfect. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do not need all that options, Like I said, put in the items with different textures, and for the ppl who really want that specific color.... put in one with the "not working script". offcourse you can't put in all colours that are availible.... but you can put in the moste used. it's just a matter of thinking in sollutions instead of in problems...... Let the customer deside what is best for them to use..... it looks advanced to sell a item with..... A HUD!... but it's not working! :matte-motes-bored:
  2. Maybe I am crazy, but I would say, as long the scripts doesn't do what is needed, just do not use them! Then make a package with all different textures in a box (so you have each item multiple, with all the different textures or sizes).... and maybe for the ppl who want to use a hud, you add one piece with the crapy script in it.... I really do not see why you MUST use a script, it is a nice future, but as long it is not working right, I do not see why selling it in the first place….. also ppl who doesn’t know how everything works… If a new to sl person buys the clothes, he is just lagging a sim without even know it! And imagine you own a Sim, and the most visitors are new users…. With nice hair, clothes, feet, and other stuff!... What can you do as a sim owner about that? Right…. Put a security script, so ppl gets tped home…. Nice to get new ppl interested in SL! I think the creators also have their responsibility to do something against the log in SL.... and think about the use when they create something.... They should knowing ppl are use their product with other products together.. I wish LL put in som more rules to avoid this problem, or the market should solve it, but that will only happening if all ppl knew what this scripts is causing.
  3. FashionNatic is a great store, with helpful people, after I send them a notecard, they replaced my items in a MOD version. They told me they are in contact with the scripter to add a button "Delete all scripts". One good point they explaine me is: when the item is MOD, pll can change colors, and they selling different colors them self. So I advise them to made a MOD version a bit more expensive for ppl who what to have the item mod.
  4. I wish all creators sees that!, there is not one good reasson to sell stuff NO MOD, sometimes I get the feeling that the creators are just so proude on thier scripted items they just don't want ppl to take them out. I really hope they are waking up and finally see what they do with their nice creations.... it is just breaking down the creation....
  5. I will not put in all brands in SL, but till now I see this problem allot by very GOOD creators, they made really good clothes, but do not take care of their scripts!
  6. Probably you didn't anything wrong, If you logout (close your viewer) the secondlife server need to log your avatar out. Sometimes it will take some more time, you can't login till the logout procces is finished, so if you log back on, you see this warning. Just try to logon again after 2 minutes... most of the time you can login again. :matte-motes-big-grin:
  7. @Sassy Romano you have a point there, maybe that is the only way to do shopping.... if you want something contact the creator.... You can't always see if there is an option to delete the script. @Amethyst Jetaime The point is.... let the customer decide what he want with the script..... to talk about your example with the nail thing.... I am a man, I setup my hands ones, and do not need other nails, So I do not need the script!. and if I decide to buy another skin, I just take a fresh copy from the original hands. Nice to have many colors of skin... if you only use one.... the point is simple... I only need the scripts to set the item up, after that I want to delete the script, cause it is useless
  8. @Sassy Romano If you do not want to buy No Mod Items, you are very limited in using nice builds... THat is my whole point, I want to understand the creators, I respect their work, but I just do not understand this point of view, I hope some creators who sell Items like this will react too.... @Senobia Xenga You can set scripts on "NO MOD" and the item on "MOD" so you can delete the script, but you can't lookin to it
  9. I am wondering why creators sell their stuff NO MOD, They create a fantastic item, and they put a resize, colour, or other script in to set the item up, really nice script work! it makes a SL life much more easy! I recently bought some Feet and Hands, really nice build, and a nice way to set up the right colour. After I set everything up, I wanted to lose the scripts.... but I do not have the right permissions to do so. So if I wear this items, I am stuck with some useless scripts. The creator told me, it is "just a little script"..... but that is not what I asked for! if you count all scripts in your hair, clothes, your mesh stuff, like ears, hands, feet, nails e.d. together it does make a different! When I explain the problem the most creators just send me a MOD version of the item, that is a really good service :matte-motes-big-grin-wink:... I just want to know WHY creators are selling NO MOD! The scripts are no mod, it is all copy, so you can save a copy of the original item, and it's all NO transfer. So what is the point to make a item with a script you can't get out? Some creators made a "delete script" option in their hud, but some of this scripts still leave some useless scripts in the item. The MOST creators are so kind to give a MOD version, but it is unnecessary to send a NC with the same question everytime when you buy a nice Item. :matte-motes-grin: I try to lower my script count and memory as much as possible, you don’t want to be a avatar who is causing lag on a busy sim. Some sims, like race sims, fight sims, big clubs, Gor or other RP sims have a limit on script usage. So people need to detach there nice bought items just because they are stuck with scripts! I would say….. PLEASE let the customer decide if they WANT to use the scripts in an item or not….. and the most important….. KEEP UP the GOOD WORK!! :)
