I'll chime in here, but mainly as a developer/new landowner. In the ashes of CC, a new community was born of people who weren't necessarily interested in the wholly commercial aspect of mainland land sales, but more in creating a contiguous mainland community. Someone had mentioned that yes, places like GlastonBelli Redwood Forest Park ARE money pits, in the basest sense of the idea. However, I have noticed land owners in adjacent parcels to Sevenfold, where GB is, deciding to place their builds purposefully along the border between their plots and GB, and using GB as a selling point for their rental/sale business. This idea is completely welcomed and, on the occasion that it has happened, the owner and I have worked to create a seamless transition across the border between their land and ours. Is it idealistic and altruistic to decide to operate in such a manner, you betcha! Is it sustainable? Who knows? But ... if you take the long game approach to it and cultivate a destination (not just GlastonBelli, but other places in Corsica South Coasters as well) people WILL come. Traveling event groups WILL utilize it. Why GlastonBelli (with it's accompanying Corsica South Coast Thruway coming up from Circuit La Corse, winding through GB to Corsica South Coast Airfield) was just used this past weekend (11/3 - 11/5) as part of a Drivers Of SL Grid Drive. It is these kind of builds that made Campbell Coast an appealing community to live in.

This is an odd post, but I thought I would give it a try. Are you a premium member with land tier to spare because you don't have a linden home? Maybe a premium plus member with an older linden home and wondering how to invest that extra 1024 sqm? Maybe you could be a part of The GlastonBelli Redwood Forest Park! The GlastonBelli Redwood Forest Park has been going for over a year now, and has seen a good bit of traffic. The Redwood Forest hosts The GlastonBelli Pyramid Stage, a performance venue paying homage to The Glastonbury Music Festival in the United Kingdom. There have actually been a few inworld music festivals hosted at GlastonBelli including one this past summer. The forest also hosts The GlastonBelli Cheddarworx Railroad, a 30-40 minute, self-sustaining narrow-gauge railroad that tours the countryside of the Redwood Forest, with transportation connections to The Corsica South Coast Airfield, a public airstrip with GTFO (Get The Freight Out) access as well as being utilized by inworld touring groups like Drivers Of SL. There is more infrastructure connecting GlastonBelli to the greater Second Life metaverse, in the form of The Corsica South Coast Thruway, which connects from The CSC Airfield, winding through the redwoods to connect to the LDPW Circuit La Corse, which is the main road traveling throughout the continent of Corsica. There are also two of the coolest, fastest and longest rollercoasters hosted at GlastonBelli. The Drako Coaster puts you on the back of a dragon, which flies over the treetops of the forest, and the Sci-Fi Tie Fighter ride, which sends you through a daring high speed chase aboard a star wars Tie Fighter vehicle. There are many other things to explore at GlastonBelli, including a Shakespeare Theatre, A Madpea Escape Room experience, as well as other designs incorporated into the GlastonBelli theme. Right now, GlastonBelli is funded by one source, and that source has indicated that they will be needing to pull out of financially supporting the forest. Like all artistic ventures, we could simply send the forest back to the ether where it was created, but I thought I would see if there was interest in finding multiple sources who might consider being a part of something unique. GlastonBelli is also a part of the neighborhood inworld group called Corsica South Coasters, as well as being listed numerous places in The Second Life Destination Guide. Sevenfold is 65,536 sqm The Corsica South Coast Airfield is on a narrow strip of land on the eastern border between Sevenfold and Poorlatrice. The Poorlatrice parcel is 9536 sqm and finally The Corsica South Coast Thruway is another narrow strip of land on the southern border between Sevenfold and Erazor. The Erazor parcel is 5072 sqm So ... in total, the entirely of GlastonBelli consists of 80,144 sqm over one full mainland region and two neighboring parcels. Up to this point, this entire enterprise has been funded by one source, in an altruistic manner, in an attempt to pay homage to The Glastonbury Festival inworld, and provide a place for second life residents to travel and explore, as well as hosting two artists in residence, Theda Tammas and Regi Yifu. So go the extra step beyond merely setting the group to actually deeding the land to the group? And this worked for you when you tried to share prims with another owner in the same shared and deeded group?

I have a related question on this topic. I had two parcels on a 30000 prim full region, which were not connected to each other, both under the same land group, and both parcels SHARED the prims. Which is exactly as I intended. Here's the question ... Had some neighbors on the same region each acquire two OTHER parcels in the same region. These two parcels (under different owners) were placed under the same land group (separate from mine) but .... the parcels are not able to share the prims. Is prim sharing between parcels ONLY available if there is a single owner between the two, and a single land group between them, or is prim sharing possible with two separate owners who share a land group between the two parcels?

So .... I submitted a ticket that was immediately "resolved" (HINT: A restart of the region does not always resolve the region) ... I left a comment that it wasn't resolved, and it's kind've in limbo, and so I'm presenting the issue here in hopes that attention can be paid to an errant switch in the Columbia region (The specific region SLURL is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Columbia/70/246/30 ) This switch is on the extreme left end of the horseshoe shape of the Heterocera Atoll SLRR main line which connects Tuliptree with the rest of the SLRR mainline, and at the moment, this switch is unresponsive and sends all non-automated trains off to the left to a dead end. Can we get some interest by the LDPW in resolving this issue? I'm hoping to get some SLRR Train Tours happening, but it is impossible to start out in Tuliptree (and the Virtual Railway Consortium) without getting this switch fixed.

Things appear to be moving smoothly between the aforementioned regions suddenly. I wish to personally and publicly thank the LDPW for whatever they did to make this happen!!!

I'll grant you that, if it weren't for the fact that the cars travel quite smoothly through nearly every other region in Bellisseria but that one region. If this is the case, would it really be a scripting or connection issue?

The interesting thing about this is ... the region I mentioned ... SSPE1174 ... has NO houses. It has, in fact, no parcels whatsoever. It is, in fact, at least from the overhead map, primarily water with landscaping along the edges. The Valkyrie trains I've been using are also relatively small in Land impact, comparatively speaking. I've also, as someone had mentioned, been putting an avi in each car, in order to keep them from being returned. But when attempting to take the cars through the small corner of SSPE1174, the first car goes through, but the rest seem unable to make the leap into the region through the border crossing.

Found THIS little errant prim gem in Euphemia Meadows this morning, which caused my engine to jump over the tracks lol. (It's the prim directly under the engine, raised above the lower ones for some reason)

I've actually been using multicar Narrow-Gauge trains from Valkyrie (they're on Marketplace) and they work fantastically. I just can't get multiple cars past the limited prims available on the region called SSPE1174 (which says it's using 4977 of 5000) has ZERO houses and is mostly water. You'd think just to foster exploration they would free up a few more prims. There are a number of other homestead regions in Bellisseria that don't this issue.

Anyone have contact with the LDPW to ask why a certain region Has anyone successfully done a multicar run through the log home regions, particularly the region called SSPE1174, near Randalsham Forest? It only has 23 prims available for travel. So disappointing being able to do runs successfully from the rail lines on either side of it, but not able to make a continuous multicar trek past this point, which has no houses in it, and is mostly water. BTW ... Randalsham DOES have a rezz zone down by the water. If you are clever, you can rezz a rail vehicle, sit on it and move it to the rail for use.
