I want it in world. I don't like minimizing or on some computers , closing the SL viewer , so that I can create something inside a more or less constrained environment that are the 3rd party 3D programs (I cant walk around it with my avatar as I'm making it...), that still has to be tested in world, of course phoenix and a couple others, have temp uploads thank gawd, but I still have to make it in another program? SL should do it all, even viewer 2 should have a preview temp upload, its just common sense for the creation process. I don't care how long it takes, as I said in my comment above it should already be in it. When I landed on help island and made my first sphere, I remember asking myself, "where are the points?" I wanted to stretch this thing out in more than a constrained math object. For me it was good enough at the time since i could still put any texture i wanted into SL. But seriously unless you own a high powered 3D program and have been pro at it, it is a big step into the functionality and its frustrating and time consuming. My favorite part of SL is, I can stop what im doing, even crash my viewer/computer, and whatever project is on the server stays exactly where i left it. That is the best part of a platform such as SL, showing its ability to run the environment, that in the future will be what all programs for creating will be running similar to. By that I mean software , will all run on a server and your computer will simply need to view it , there will be no need to load the powerful software on your machine, just one program to see what you are working on. This will allow for the better use of high amounts of RAM and it will leave your CPU clean for running more high powered graphics and higher frame animations. SL is the platform, the viewer is small, compared to what you would need to run this world off of your computer, (saved or on a CD like normal full production game environments). Thats it from me, I can't wait till you guys get to work on it!
