What are some of your pet peeves?

If you watch the feet closely you'll see that some are out of step (time) with the rest. The guy in the middle is way out of step at times. I wonder why the gif posted for you but wouldn't for me. That's why I changed it. But even in the one I posted that did show up you can see they aren't all perfectly in step with everyone else. Even in ballet it may look all perfectly timed but when you slow it down you can see that it's not perfect. Dancers don't all have the same extension so some legs will be higher than others. They don't all have the same elevation so some will jump a little higher than others as well. That's just how it works. Humans aren't perfect and will never be able to perfectly synchronize. Yeah, I used to dance a few different "genres" when I was young(er). -

It's called Line Dancing and was a thing at country & western bars in the US for many, many years. Still is I think. Not sure though as I haven't been in a bar in over 20 years. -

The Men Who Have Made a Difference in Your Life

Other than the two of us freaking out? Not much other than talking about other "events" that have occurred in that house. There were other odd things to happen in that house (grandfather built it) to other members of the family. Oldest brother said my grandmother (who had passed several years before) was standing at the foot of his bed, talking to him one night. I saw the family dog in the backyard several times after he had passed. I got blamed for my cat walking on the piano keyboard and waking us up in the middle of the night but the keyboard was closed and I'm the only one that played other than my grandmother. Little oddities like that. They didn't happen very often and we never felt threatened so it never really bothered us. -

I point to the sign, prominently displayed, that reads, "No solicitors, religious or otherwise. Survivors will be prosecuted." -

I met Geddy, Neil and Alex in a hotel room on April 5, 1982 after a Moving Pictures concert. Guy who ran the lightboard (Tom L. of Nashville) introduced us. -

Not so weird as standing in the kitchen and watching two black shadows pass through your mother at the same instant she felt cold chills and seeing her shiver. I asked her why she shivered, she told me. I told her about the shadows I'd seen. All we could do was look at each other. Not the strangest encounter I've had or the only shared encounter. But we both agreed it was creepy. -
If you do, you risk getting yourself permanently banned from SL. LL can easily track accounts and will know how many you have created, especially if you use them to abuse others. Best to just AR each incident and include screenshots and pertinent info and let LL deal with it.

Figures it happens the first day I planned on logging in again after not being able to for a couple of weeks or so due to an illness. Hopefully they'll get it sorted by this evening. If not, tomorrow is Saturday! \o/

Seems they forgot they bought XStreetSL and developed the MP from it rather than coding their own from scratch. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -

It would be like it is now though. You'd still be paying for it through Premium, just at a reduced tier price since each level will cost you more than the previous. Not everyone wants to own land or even a homestead either. Oh, to have a homestead once again to do as I wish with, would be a dream come true. 🤩 -

The lists contained 25 surnames and if you refreshed the page the names would change. If you refreshed a second time you would get the previous list so a total of 50 surnames on 2 lists. I don't know if that held true after 2009 as that was the last year I created an account. Periodically the lists would change and you would get completely new names but I'm not sure how often LL changed them. And of course if you used one of the 3rd party sites you would get different names. It got to be a big mess and I think LL kind of lost control and that's why the 3rd party sites were dropped. -

Long story short, if you're basic you don't count, regardless of how many thousands of USD you've invested in SL over the years. Not a good thing (or feeling). -

I am basic and it's already pissing me off. I can't afford premium, even less so when they jacked up the price of premium to $99US. Ever since they started the Sansar project they've gotten money hungry and don't really care how many current customers fall through the cracks. They'll just keep finding things to tack a price tag on until only the well off can afford to be in SL. And with the gap between middle and upper class widening at a rapid pace, they'll put themselves out of business much sooner. I don't expect basics to have all the perks premiums do but it sure does get old being left out in the cold. Sometimes it feels like they are actually trying to do away with basics completely. If that is the case, not only are they doing us a disservice, they're shooting themselves in the foot financially. Which is what they are supposed to be trying to increase, not reduce.
