Second Life personality traits
Selene Gregoire replied to GuyJee's topic in General Discussion Forum
Yes, there are a lot of people who log into SL for pixel sexxors. There are many who don't. I'm one of the ones that doesn't. I freely admit I have been an SL virgin for 13 years. That will never change. No, I'm not interested in getting to know anyone that posts such snotty snobbery as you have. -
Both are timber wolves. You are forgiven.

And here I thought I was the only one to ever call you Silly Dilly.

Nope. Not a one. And yes, history would have been different. How different we'll never know.

It wouldn't have had any impact on my ancestors. None of them ever lived on that side of the pond. Oops. I meant to quote Scylla not Conifer.

Reading this thread reminds me of the one time, years ago, someone managed to log into my account while I was logged in. This was during a rash of such goings on. I never clicked on links in chat or IMs. To this day I have never figured out how they got my fairly complicated password. Luckily, I was quick thinking enough to log in to one of my alts, (which all of my accounts were set to rez in at my home of the time) so they didn't have time to do anything more then change the password with me standing right in front of them in my home yelling at them to get off my account while I was on the phone with LL CS. I had my account back in less than 30 minutes. Even so, if LL were to implement 2FA, I would still want the option to not use it. Make it an opt in kind of thing and I'll be fine with it. And yes, I do mean opt in, not opt out. Just my 2 cents and personal preference. ETA: I'm think Whirlz will remember when it happened. The idiot was spamming the FS support group (and others). Since I was on the support team at that time, they knew it likely wasn't me but had to kick me out of the group. And they were right to do so.

Because I've known you for a long time Silly Dilly and I thought I was helping. You don't remember me under this account because I didn't use this account name on the other forum. That was my original account name. Or at least the first half of it. I'm sorry. I messed up again. I just got so excited with the mention of the Underground that I completely forgot about the Plastic People when searching. Velvet Underground was one of my favorite Haight-Ashbury bands along with Blue Cheer and some others. I just got lost in the nostalgia. /me slinks off with bushy tail tucked

Yes I know.... necro! But I just could not let it go. Had you searched for Waiting for THE Man you would have found it. This one was posted up in 2014. There are others but I didn't look at them. Just grabbed the first one I saw. Oops. Did I just derail the derailed derail thread for derailed derail threads?

I used to be on the support team. It never negatively impacted performance for me. I image there are even more tweaks and tips for improving performance now than there was back then. I mostly just wanted to be sure it was still a thing before I went looking for the website in my bookmarks. It's gotta be buried in there somewhere.

That's how I feel about most sports these days. Especially formula racing. It's all tech now which has taken all the fun (read thrills and chills) out of it. Although there have been one or two pretty spectacular crashes I happen to catch a few months ago. I do give them full credit for making the cars "safer" than they once were. I would have been devastated had my father ever died in one. ETA: Oh I almost forgot to ask. Is Firestorm still the most preferred viewer these days? I really don't want to use the LL viewer.

Do you think you are an interesting person in SL?
Selene Gregoire replied to Bree Giffen's topic in General Discussion Forum
Certainly. Why wouldn't they be? Laugh-In and Hogan's Heros were both sitcoms*. *situation comedies for those who weren't born yet
