There are only two things that will make the use of display names acceptable to me. One is to NOT allow the User Name to be hidden. It MUST be visible (unless it is turned off under Preferences> General> Hide My Name on MY Screen). Hiding your own tags from yourself is not the issue. Hiding it from others is. If you have nothing to hide then you won't mind if others can see your User Name.The other is the format in which things are displayed on the "tag". Such as:
Display Name
Group Tag
User Name
I don't have a problem with turning off your own tag or turning off group tags but display names and user names should be visible to everyone at all times.
It's fine if you disagree with me just don't expect me to argue my point/opinion with you. It's not going to happen. Here or in world.
