  1. Posting for a fellow neighbor and his family... http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fishtown/5/157/27 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Piarra Waters/66/117/22 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hubra/141/187/22 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sweetmarsh/223/238/23 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Carnival/127/192/24 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Leonine Mews/98/75/30 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fierce Bight/115/142/27 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wood/29/171/23 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Toad Hollow/221/101/25
  2. @davidventer I personally love this idea. I have hoped for a long time that they would make small quaint little shopping areas throughout Belli as mentioned in the KB. It could be done very tastefully with like a town square maybe a large bell tower or clock in the center where four roads meet. Nothing says it has to be a mall. Leave the "shopping events" to the fairgrounds and such. I don't envision this would take more work than usual ongoing, as LL doesn't police shops today for the masses and the residents police covenant violations in Bellisseria same as could be done in space. I personally would up my land allowance and pay more to own one if it was done nicely. I kind of see this as "Small Business" for Bellisserians that are creative types. Shopping events for me are over done. I don't like fighting the masses to do shopping, I prefer to shop leisurely and while events are good for sales....I wouldn't see these stores used for sole income creators types, more like I make stuff for hobby...here is my little inworld shop, find me on marketplace, small business. If that makes sense?!? It would also be nice for those that have converted a home into an art gallery where they could charge for a commission and sell art if they moved into a shop sort of along these lines. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/ROOST-Vintage-Shops-Pack/10331221
  3. Thank you Maitimo for posting this list! I used it for exploring and expanding. I have three SL daughters, two of which live with me full time and I am always looking for bedrooms options. I thought I would share incase anyone is interested. My most favorite house internally for rooms is also my least favorite aesthetically externally because it resembles a large cube (Aldridge) -(°_o)/¯ Aldridge - 1024 - 2 story (5 rooms with doors) Ice cube lol Bradbury - 1024 - 1 story (2 rooms with doors / 3 potential) Coniston - 1024 - 1 story (2 rooms with doors +1 small room with a door maybe used for a bathroom / one room could easily be converted to bedroom with a door) Denver - 512 - 1 story (2 rooms with doors / patio could be converted easily to a bedroom) Ender - 512 - 2 story (1 room with door) Faraday - 512 - 1 story (2 rooms with doors and one room that could be converted with a door) Gatewood - 512 - 2 story (1 room with a door and an upstairs bedroom with balcony) Heaton - 1024 - 2 story (3 rooms with doors) Additional comments, thoughts and observations: Not a fan of the size of texture on the that looks to be a container, it looks stretched and very grunge in regards to the rest of the neighborhood. I hope there is a black window frame option inside without changing the rest of the rest of the trims to black. I hope the door color and brick colors can change on the outside These remind me more of Roost homes that Trompe homes I love the trees and bushes seemed to get a lot more land impact efficient than earlier releases I can see a lot of roof converted decks like the balcony deck on the Gatewood House this style of roof and exterior definitely lends to expansion rather easily. (Fitting within theme of course much like what has happened with the houseboats) Love the new outdoor plant containers, seating, and trash can. I hope these are available in the content packs. With all that being said I want to post one more thought. I kind of expected this release to be less popular just because of a pattern that I have noticed. In the early days, each house seemed to be placed with love, each region was laid out before our eyes, the plots and roads installed and someone came along behind and placed every tree and bush specific to the landscape and it seemed more custom and unique to that region. As time has went by, demand for homes and releases seemed to drive more quantity than quality and the need to scale at a faster rate to stay on time and on budget definitely shows. There are still some regions that are unique and "hand made" for lack of better terms. For example, when two themes meet in the same region or the new fantasy community center. But if you look at the map across the different themes, you start to see this much more easier than in the early regions. Looks like a copy paste copy paste. The moles and lindens work hard, and I am not ungrateful. Bellisseria has changed SL for me, in a positive way. But I also pay a premium fee, and feel I have a right to voice my opinion. My message to LL: Strive for excellence and a great customer experience vs repeatable, scalable, efficient processes. Please don't loose site of where you began when you lay out this new neighborhood. It would be nice to see some of these areas scattered through out all the regions....like you mention in the KB article...and I quote from the KB Article "Unlike the first generation of Linden Homes, which offered themed areas on separate Regions, the Bellisserian homes blend themes across the entire continent. Depending on the theme you choose to live in, your home’s parcel may be either 1024 or 512 sqm. Your house might overlook houseboats along the ocean or might be inland in a traditional suburban neighborhood. Wherever you live, you will be within range of recreational and shopping areas and will be able to travel around the continent by car or boat if you wish."....*looks around* ....*blinks*...*coughs*...How do I get to a a shopping area near me by car??!?!? What shopping areas lol.
  4. Everyone that doesn't want to participate, can just hang out at Slenderman's house cuz that will be where Santa Patch has to visit. LOL. 😂 That way you know Santa Patch will know where to find you.
  5. I am not sure if you realize but there is a participation gift for anyone that participates, it's a cute little skelly bear that is décor. As far as winners and losers, my personal opinion is we are all winners. We all get a community! Were previously, most was on our own little islands living our best second lives or dancing around in some club, etc. But no real sense of community like Bellisseria has provided. The fact that linden and the moles took the time to create this awesome community and are now holding events we can choose or not to be a part of. Fabulous! Some just want a specific bear more than others. I am not trying to win, infact...I just think the wizard bear is super cute and that is the goal I set for myself. I won't be upset if I don't get it. I am happy to participate and the skelly bear is cute too. I have also collected all kinds of neat little candies and treats not having anything to do with the Hud or hunt that people have set out for us to enjoy. Using a list or not, flying, tping or even driving around is all in the spirit of fun and unlike opinions stated it's all in the spirit of Bellisseria. I am not calling you out or anything, you are definitely entitled to your own thoughts and voice on the subject. I just wanted to share about the bear.
  6. I have read every one of these posts and have been participating in this event. Here are some of my thoughts, comments, and opinions. It's sad all the negative comments on this event and that people are quick to jump on a bandwagon to add to the negativity. With that being said everyone has a right to have a voice...so here is mine... I have used several methods of collecting candies. Using the list provided by Az Used the group chat where we were helping one another. Use the forum lists Belli Hud Driving around aimlessly on my scooter with no real sense of direction. Methodically, tping from sim to sim and house to house in one area or another. Riding my horse and wandering through the camper areas. I am now up to over 700. I didn't dedicate a huge amount of time...because I have a full time job and husband to take care of. Only last weekend and a few hours in the morning or evening when I happened to be online. I am a huge introvert and usually stick to myself but have opened up and chatted to a few others also participating as we have shared links and a few was home while collecting candies, I thanked them for participating. I have only been kicked 3 times by an orb in over 700 visits, mainly because I wasn't fast enough, but was able to go back and try faster. I was banned 1 time because of a forced tp landmark. Broken buckets, I just noted those locations in a notecard and come back a couple days later to check again. All have been resolved I might add. I don't feel disappointed because I used a list, or that I gamed a system. I don't feel it was too overwhelming because of the number of sims, I haven't even been to 50% of them, I know because I have been keeping my own list of the places I collected candy from. I don't feel it was too sparce, because like in RL not every one celebrates Halloween. You don't go to every single house on a block, you go where the light is on. Sometimes if you want a lot of candy you hit up different neighborhoods, same as this event...there are regions where participation is high and I got excited finding those little gems! This was/is a great event! I for one am grateful for all the homeowners that participated, for the creators and event planners that set this up, and for the new friends I have made along the way that helped by sharing locations. You are all what make this a wonderful community!
  7. I'm not really here to roast anyone but I want to say that I can see how your term might have offended someone, since you were using the word as an adjective to describe a home...not wallpaper, pottery or fabric. And I wanted to add that your description called to mention your thought was Manhattan brownstones, which is New York area therefore a reference to the USA. Not to mention the fact that you knew immediately before saying what you did publicly that you might get a negative response. I think your first sentence kind of set the tone and invited an opposition vs insight other like minded individuals. Some people are very passionate about this project and you have to take that into consideration. Linden Labs are actually taking an initiative to grow and make Second Life sustainable and give a better consumer experience and for one I am extremely grateful for that and all the hard work put into this project. Regardless of my preference of homes. I personally think the new homes are fabulous, the gardens are super lovely. I would rather not use prims to add a wrap around porch but instead use those prims for decor. I also have a large family and am using 53 prims in just add-ons for extra rooms so the larger homes are a nice option. I think the new homes will accommodate and excite quite a few people. Also keep in mind, there are options for you to have a warehouse conversion or city life in other sims and communities so it's not like you are completely cut off from having and loving your SL experience. You could always just use your premium account for a vacation experience instead of your everyday home. There are lots of ideas. But at the end of the day you are entitled to your opinion and we don't know if there will be future releases or what will be in store but I hope you get something that excites you and makes you happy.
  8. To be honest, activity sites would be nice...like a golf course, or bowling alley.
  9. I rather agree with this. I really don't mind others role-playing fires and whatnot but I really don't want to live next to a fire department or police department etc. There are other communities that do that regularly. I love the peaceful look of Bellisseria today and appreciate all the little spots people have created within the current theme. It would be nice for a little town center area that includes areas for community gatherings and maybe you can claim one of the buildings under the a super premium membership or something for commercial activities. A hospital equipped for roleplay might be nice in this area but often times even in roleplay communities most of these municipal buildings end up empty as the new wears off and you are left with wasted prims being used up for no reason. This would kind of prevent a ghost town...where as if one has to pay and chooses the building type...from a mailbox per say then it might actually get used.
