  1. Since you posted about it SOME TIME before I replied, I assumed others here would get that. Anywho...Issue is apparently now resolved. https://secondlife-status.statuspage.io/incidents/7mj0cvl2gp84
  2. That page claims they completed the work 30 minutes ago. support.secondlife.com still down with same error.
  3. https://support.secondlife.com/ Gets this: I'd report it to support, but... (I was trying to report several (most likely hacked) accounts sending phishing attempts to a number of group chats.)
  4. I've been involved in a couple projects like this. A group of friends and I in one case did a full sim makeover from the ground up. It took us about 10 days, if I remember right. It didn't have much in the way of a theme beyond a few specific builds set up along certain lines, and a requirement for romantic and explorable spots throughout. What made it all the more special was once finished, it only lasted a week or so before the sim was reset. It can definitely be fun. Keep in mind that some people want a blank canvas while others need detailed architectural plans to work off of. In other words, have an overall goal in mind, but be prepared to be as open with it as you can.

  6. When I'm in Windows, Textpad has been my standard editor for programming and other tasks since 2002. There's a syntax file (for code syntax highlighting) and an events clipbook available for LSL from the SL community. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Editor_TextPad_Syntax http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Editor_TextPad_ClipBook_Events
  7. Probably good to start off with the SL Wiki's list of alternative editors: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Alternate_Editors
  8. @Lexbot They don't seem to have custom avatars in Blog comments here, but in the forums you can select a preset one, or from your image uploads. Now, would be nice to see some sort of auto-reply quote functionality here in the blog comments.
  9. The "eliminate brand confusion" is great. Honestly. But a lot of non-SLers - gamers - use Avatars United. Hell, even some SL member get a little use out of it. How does closing the site for all help with this? How does it help from a PR perspective?
