a lot of belly prims, sleeves and other parts of clothing now have scripted drop down menus. but people still give you the choice to modify using the edit feature. sometimes when i'm stretching an item i notice one of two things, grey boxes meaning i can stretch the whole object (for example a belly prim on a tshirt), and when i move the grey boxes in edit it stretches the whole thing slightly in the basic direction of the box you are using (top four or bottom four). the second option is the four gray squares as well as blue/red/green squares so that you can stretch it in a certain direction while keeping the overall original size (like if i wanted to shorten the prim i could just use the top or bottom blue squares). i have a prim that really needs to be shortened without changing the size of the overall prim because if i try to shorten it it gets too small in certain areas. is there any way to change this option? did i make any sense? lol. it's driving me nuts because i'm having a really hard time adjusting my prims perfectly on some outfits.

that's a good idea. i know i have a few modified shapes for when i wear prim shirts, i have to flatten my behind right to 0, i can only imagine what not only a flat butt looks like naked but also low hanging nipple hidden boobs. channeling a granny or what! lol.

hi, i usually live in a skybox. but i just got a lovely new plot and i want to put my home on the ground. the skybox i have been using, just a rectangle with brick/plaster walls and a big window on one wall with a scenery is not gonig to work cuz i can't make doorway, and well, it's ugly on the outside lol. thing is when i go on the marketplace OMG there are so many choices? i really like the coastal loft from {what next} and i have owned the snow.white skybox (which i modified into a ground home) from nordari. these are kinda beachy, whitewashed open lofty places with hardwood floors (although i love bright colors too if the textures are good). i was wondering if anyone knew any other great places to purchase smaller, one or two room places with prims under 100, price is no big deal. i've been pouring over the marketplace for a few days, and i can't get through the hundreds of pages. hoping maybe someone has a great place i haven't discovered yet! thanks

okay interesting. so my inventory count won't go down, i wondered about that, since you do have the 'outfit' in a different place. i just somehow thought, in my mind, that the links wouldn't be 'real' things, it's weird how one can think of a pixel object as an actual object. lol. still, the ability to workaround the no copy things is great, and so is the multiple tattoo layers. regarding the disconnecting, i have a good computer with a new video card. i'm really thinking it's my internet connection, or as someone mentioned, my router. it's four years old and perhaps time for an upgrade. my reasoning is because i have to always restart my internet connection to get my music/teleporting abilities/chat back, like something isn't connected otherwise. does anyone know of a solution to trying to get all that back on the new viewer, i'm still not able to get it to fully function and i've even tried restarting my modem. i must have to reset or empty some hidden cache in the viewer? ack! thanks again for your replies.

My brother plays on the official viewer and I was helping him organize his clothing and noticed that when you make an outfit you can have it saved in the last tab 'My Outfits'. Now, being the OCD organization person I am, I already do this with my Emergence viewer, I save Folders of premade outfits. This basically copies everything from my skin to my shoes into a seperate folder (and if I have a no copy item I pretty much use it once for that outfit and never see it again), and leaves the original clothing item in it's original folder. But have a few of questions... Does this new viewer have a feature using a 'linking' system, so I'm not making copies of any of my clothes, just linking them from the folder they are originally in? This would cut down on my inventory amount substantially. I mean I have hundreds of copies of my eyes and body shapes alone in these 'outfit' folders. I would be able to wear my 'no copy' shoes etc. several times. Can someone verify this? If this is definite, than I would make a point to switch over. As I don't really see that option in any other viewer. This is kind of part II of my BIG problem of why I don't want to switch viewers, I could make another thread, but I will add it in here as it's really got nothing to do with the previous question. Problem is I can solve it easily with Emergence, but for now I am stuck on my Viewer 2.5 trying to fix it. Sometimes I get kicked out. Okay, relog, right? Well, everytime i get disconnected, I log in and three things happen. I lose my ability to hear music. My music options are turned on, I don't have to reset them, there is nothing I can do. I cannot teleport anywhere either. I try but end up getting disconnected. No error messages sent out or anything. The third thing that happens when I log in is that I recieve NO group messages, and there is no group chat available. So I'm pretty much stuck in my house with no music, no way of getting out, and not able to follow my groups, nor get any information from these groups. My solutions has been to go into my preferences, 1. clear cache 2. clear inventory cache 3. clear browser cache 4. log out and then 5. disconnect my internet and then reconnect it. A real pain but works 99% of the time. Right now I was disconnected from viewer 2. I couldn't find any cache to clear but 'cache location' then reset button. This did NOT solve my problem. It's been days and I have tried many combinations, manually trying to clear my cache from the Second Life folder on my hard drive etc. I don't really want to go through so much every time I get booted. Does any one know why this happens? Is there a solution besides what I am doing? And how would you fix it in the new viewer. I haven't been able to play on the new one since this happened, and I'm rather disappointed. Thanks!
