  1. head on down to these three places

    Collabor88

    The Dressing Room

    The Dressing Room Blue.

check out the glam affair, atomic & illusory skins there.  I wear them a LOT.  they are so pretty.  they are usually 1k per skin but at these events under 100L for special makeup on the same sets.  can't beat the price!

    Atomic Skin

    This is atomic

    This is glam affair

You might also want to head out to Al Vulo, as they give away a free skin a month and joining the group is free.

  2. i use dutch touch, mamboo, curio, tres blah & mynerva.  don't have a problem using huds to match the skins.  its funny though, because i too use nans optimal for making outfits!  small world lol.

maitreya is awesome!  i have their flip flops.  how are their feet?

i'll just wait for a designer to put some 'ballet' flats on some feet.  until then maybe i'll start wearing leg warmers :smileytongue:

  3. thank you for the feeback :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:

some of you wonderful designers who make prim feet should start making prim feet with flats on them.  you would make a killing off me alone!  hehe.

i know it's a pain to match the skins flawlessly where they meet, but when you can't get it 'just perfect' that's what cute little beaded anklets are for!  (when you wear skirts or capris.)

what are the best prim flat feet for attempting to add flats over.

loveangel:  yes i definitely wear sculpted feet with strappy sandals/heels, but flats & pumps (that aren't the prim feet style that seem to only come with straps around the ankle to hide the skin difference) are my pet peeve!

the flat oary foot thing in pumps (even with alpha) is a very sad thing too.  it seems the higher the heels are the more misshapen your foot gets, i bought a great pair of kookie shoes the other day and they looked like the old fashioned noob shoes.  i mean the shoes were gorgeous, if only my feet were not deformed.

    thanks again.

  4. I got a free alpha mask package and noticed they had one called "no wrist lump".   It got me wondering if there was an alpha mask to make our ankles not so bony.  When I wear flats it really bugs me if I'm not wearing long pants to have my ankles misshapen.  My feet are set to 0 (so I can wear shoes that are usually set to 0), and my legs are of normal slider proportions.  Still I get this:

If anyone knows someone who posesses this magic alpha, could you let me know?  Thank you.

  5. i watched it a while ago.  the ad for it makes it look COMPLETELY different than what it's really about.  i thought it was going to be some blair witch type story.  but it's good.  i made other people watch it too.

  6. As for me, well, my avatar is the epitome of what I'm most attracted to... I figure I'll be looking at myself more than anyone else so why not enjoy it

both of my brothers play second life as women avatars, and one of them made an almost exact duplicate of his RL girlfriend (even giving her the same first name) and the second one made his 'dream girl' so he could look at her and enjoy it... he'd always be like "omg she's so gorgeous!"

my avi looks like me but a more perfect version, as if i'd had lip augumentation, a nose job and a bit of lipsuction.   i've played men avis, really large women avis too.  i'm boring though i'm most comfortable being 'me'.  i can't even get past the blonde hair, i can't wear brown or red hair cuz i'm a blonde irl.  i have no friends in SL, i must have a crappy write up in my about me section.  no one approaches me.  oh well.  i guess i like to play dolls on SL buying clothes and shoes and hair.  by myself.  i think i'm not playing SL right or something.

  7. its good we are talking about it, because im not sure some people realize how bright they can be when they tp into a place.  many times i've been in a store or club and all of a sudden everyone has a lit up yellow face because some poor girl is wearing an 8 prim facelight that is way too bright. the might not realize that they are overdoing it x100 because of their settings.  maybe reading this thread will make a few people stop and go... "am i too much of a superstar?  should i maybe tone it down a bit and save the corneas of others?"  it's really a public service announcement ...

  8. I totally can relate.

If I were to describe myself as a SL person I'd be an agoraphobic who stays home all the time trying on all the clothes in her closet and never talking to anyone.

Thing is I thought SL was a place to be whoever you want to be and I ended up being a crazy cat lady. :smileysad:

  9. i find people invite me to be their friend within a half hour of chatting with them.  then i never talk to them again.  they invite me, and i don't know the 'etiquette' of whether i should say hi to them, or wait for them to talk to me.  unfortunately they don't seem to either so we never speak again.  i will usually remove them after a few days if i see they have logged in several times and haven't contacted me.

this is probably why i have no friends after five years of SL lol.
