  1. Ciao!
  5. The best and modern I found so far is Furware Text, available for free here: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/FURWARE-text/141379 It uses 8 planes mesh as prim saver, and comes with lots of text formatting features, font customization via TextureCreator (pre-compiled for Windows only). I used it to create a Changelog board at my store, to avoid to replace a texture everytime I updated it.
  6. The point is, it's not your house. I'd consider it mostly as a rented car parking Anyway I'd be proud if LL would choose my creations.
  8. Hi, I have never had issues with Ati cards and Second Life. The choice should only be driven by anyone's needs. Actually I'm using a Sapphire HD6770 1G Vapor DDR5, I wanted a quiet, low power consumption card (= less heat produced = less noise) and generally these pros are hard to find in the nVdia cards. On Viewer 3 it shouts ~50 fps at Ultra Setting and ~130 at High Settings (in my case, on a machine an i7 2600, a solid state hard drive and 16Gb RAM though). If you don't care about electricity bill to be paid at the end of the month, the noise, the warm air in your room and your pocket, you can just pick the very last (and newest) high end card on the market, no matter which brand is. You will be sure about 'who's better'. All this 'generally talking' just to say it's meaningless to talk about a 'Vs' without clearly considering your needs . :matte-motes-wink:
  9. Thanks Darrius for the links you provided. I did a quick check in my transaction history and apparently seems everything is ok (no L$ loss). I can just confirm some of my friends/testers reported to me they got again the item with the updated name in their Received Items folder. My items are almost all Copy or Mod/Copy, so in my case this is not a problem (I can't confirm if someone have got twice a transfer-only item though, paying only for 1).
  10. Hi everyone, I have lately updated all my store to DD in a row. But... in the last week I noticed a small percentage of items, and always the exact same ones, were Undelivered. The test delivery (to myself) worked for all these items, though. After I've read about issues with no-standard characters in the Object name, I tried and renamed all the items with some ASCII chars I used (in example I used to add "◥NEW◤" to the new arrivals). Well, since I replaced them all, seems that all the last deliveries had 100% success, and DD works great to me after this simple fix (crossing my fingers for future, though ^L^), and I've just thought to share -or confirm, I'm sure some already solved this way- this tip.
  11. Thanks for the tip, but the script it's mostly designed to stay in a 'Social Dock', that displays 5 icons, 1 for each side, clickable. To save prims, I've used a tortured 5 faces display prim.
  13. Thank you, five IF and I've completed it :robothappy:
  14. Hello everyone, I'm trying to realize the following idea but I can't find the right way. Using this basic script, I would create something like a 'social icons dock' avoiding to use 1 touchable prim for every URL, so a 5 sides display (1 prim) could be the lowest prim solution. //_____________________ string Url = "https:/exampleURL"; default { on_rez(integer start_param) { llResetScript(); } touch_start(integer total_number) { llLoadURL(llDetectedKey(0), "*********Some text here!********", Url); } dataserver(key queryid, string data) { Url = "https://www..com" + llEscapeURL(data); } } //_____________________ How I could improve it to do something like: touch side 1 => url1 touch side 2 => url2 ... touch side 5 => url5 ? Thanks for reading. :womanhappy:
  15. Smart trick, clear tutorial too - thanks! And it still works after some rolling restarts. :manvery-happy:
