    I think Patch Linden mentioned back in March 2023 that there are 15, 114 first generation Linden homes occupied out of 41, 730. There was mention last year about the hubs being refreshed. 

    Today the Bellisseria continent has over 8, 340 regions. It would be good to know how many second generation Linden homes are currently occupied ?.

    If the lab did decide to shut them down like in late 2025 or 2026 there needs to plenty of advance notice. The lab would have to come up with a really worthwhile moving package (any ideas?). Yes there would be some level of disruption that will become unavoidable.

    Bellisseria continent has passed the 5th year milestone now with thousands of regions and new homes. It's still set to grow further in the weeks, months and years ahead I'm sure. 

    I think the lab have almost reached the right balance on available new Linden Homes Vs the old Linden Homes. Having enough supply is important to meet the demand of a possible shut down of the old Linden Home continents. 

    It would be nice to hear a update from the lab on which direction it's heading.

    Historical maps of the Bellisseria continent back in 2018. Trip down memory lane.

    The first 80 SSP regions arrived on the grid on 19th/20th August 2018. Back then it was super secret project and many speculated this new land mass was something to do with Linden Realms or Horizons etc.

    In September 2018 the SSP continent grew from 80 regions to 384 regions. New roads, housing blocks, houseboat slips, lakes and more were put in from October 2018+.

    During September 2018 to December 2018 terraforming work took place.

    The new Linden homes first foundations were put in. Loads of houseboat slips were built around the outside during late 2018/early 2019.

    At the end of March 2019 the top half of the SSP continent was copied over and place between the Sansara continent and Jeogeot continent.

    The Bellisseria continent officially opens on 15th April 2019. Yay! :)

    The Bellisseria continent is supermassive today. Here is the map of it as of Saturday 13th April 2024.

    It's been amazing to keep track of the Bellisseria continent over the past five years and it's going to be interesting to see how the Bellisseria continent develops over the next five years or so.

    The Bellisseria continent has 2, 662 regions as of now according to Claire M von Second Life. 

    Awesome work. 

     

    I wonder how big the Bellisseria continent in Second Life will be this time next year.

    If any Linden or Mole has a rough estimated timeframe of the future of the old Linden Homes continents.

    It could turn into a bridge over the water or maybe another underground tunnel.

    In the far west side of the Redbranch Hollow region and the Ten Acre Wood region there is a road, fence and telephone cables going into the blue water void. It's coming soon!

    It's amazing how big the Ranch sub continent has got now. I would imagine there will be more new regions in the weeks ahead.

    I hope the lab don't use the upcoming SL21B birthday with the adult theme after the recent happenings. 

    All this should not go forward. 

    There needs to be big changes at the top of LL management and all those that have been apart of this big mess. The statement came far too late and the lab needs to publish the full results soon.

    At SL20B there was a brief mention of the old Linden Homes in terms of the hubs. Patch Linden mentioned that possibly they may get updated and the lab/moles will give them a freshen up a bit and things in that area. It’s not known when work will start on the refresh of the hubs. 

    I think the old Linden Homes will be around for some time yet like at least another two years or so for historical purposes. The lab has yet to make a final decision on the future of old Linden homes. I’m sure the lab will announce something when the plans are finally completed.

    There has not been any new updates since July 2023 I think.

    It's amazing that there were so many individual regions back then. The bellisseria sub continents have definitely filled up that space now. 

    The south still seems like there could be new land mass development at some point.

    Also, after finally snagging a Fantasy parcel that suits her,  my alt went for a swim and discovered something new to her in Fantasseria!  (I'm sorry if someone has already documented these, but I really got a kick out of finding them).  There are 2 places where a Fantasseria water region touches, kitty-corner, a watery Victorian region.:  Eiruch and Bustle Bay, and SSPE2731 and Nelson Eddy.  If you go to each of those corners and stand on the ocean floor, what do you see?

    A portal that goes to the kitty-corner region!!

    So cool!  If I were a mer, I would DEFINITELY be hoping to snag a Fantasseria coastal home near there!  (And, in case anyone is wondering, NO YOU CANNOT TAKE YOUR SUBMARINE THROUGH THESE PORTALS!)  But what of that :)

    Thanks Nika. I do look at these Linden Homes threads on a regular basis. Good developments have been happening which is nice to see. 

    I remember when Bellisseria was just forming after August 2018 and back then it was called SSP. Trying to guess what was going to happen was exciting. 

    I still can't believe it's been almost five years since the grand opening to the public.

    Second Life Mobile Private Alpha Now Comes With Streaming Audio Support

    On Thursday 15th February Linden Lab announced an update on Second Life Mobile Private Alpha. For Premium Plus members only. 

    The latest Private Alpha release now adds support for streaming audio. The latest release comes with a bunch of improvements and bug fixes.

    What would you like to see added to the Second Life mobile app ?

    The houseboats extension north of the newbrooke sub continent is coming along nicely. It's great to see more new development taking place still.

    SSPShell Yeah airstrip is going to be great once thats finished soon. It looks like the rez area is where the two runways merge at the end.
