  1. I sure hope the promoting goes well seeing how my two warnings went ignored. Half the people on my magnum sim can't rezz and the other half can't delete items not to mention prim shift is rampant in linked objects by a full .100m. Lag is higher then normal too and we had to cancel our racing event yesterday from these issues
  2. I've noticed since the last upgrade on my magnum sim that prim drift is back with a vengeance in both linksets and stand alone prims. It also effects if a linkset is locked. How does one file a JIRA on that?
  3. The issues are continuing after the maintenance was finished also it effects all viewers
  4. Hi Oskar Since the deploy of today's server on my magnum sim I've been seeing and getting reports of rezzing delay issues. Such things as items taking up to a minute to delete as well. Textures are taking up to 5 minutes to load for some people including myself(clear cache didn't help). I'm not sure if it's a viewer issue or sim so unsure how to fill a JIRA on it thanks
  5. Hi I'd like to know when group chat lag will be fixed? A 3 minute chat lag went out with DalNet IRC back in the mid 90's It makes running an event near impossible when trying to give instructions to staff. It was fixed a year ago until LL decided to tinker with it again
  6. Noticed a problem of sorts on the magnum sim I have. Some residents are not able to get text chat from some objects or avi's yet pick it up fine from others. Various viewers were used and it acts like a mute problem being auto set.

  8. Hi Oskar hope you had a good holidays I'm wondering if any of the team know the status for the region crossing issues for cars. I filed a JIRA SVC-7508 a month ago and know these things take time but an update on any progress would make the loss in sales easier to deal with thanks

  11. I agree Natales. LL has steps in place to help avoid faulty code from hitting the main grid. First is the beta sim then it goes to the RC sims and if the ones on the RC sims don't report any adverse problems then it goes to the main. Just about every time a bug hits the main there hasn't been any mention by anyone there was an issue on the RC sim it was tested on until after. Then it's all "oh yea I noticed that". Sure it gets very frustrating when bugs occur on the RC sims but that's why they are RC. Anyone can file a ticket and request to be put on the main if they don't wish to help debug. We all play a major part in getting things fixed. If your car breaks down yelling at the mechanic doesn't do any good you have to describe what the problem is so they can fix it. But on the other hand LL does need better communication with those of us that are willing to give time to help out. Nothing irks me more then when they (LL)come to a sim to diagnose a problem and flat out ignore the owner when they have questions or new information. Some Lindens will take the time and discuss the issue but not very many and the fastest way to lose a customer in any business is to make them feel unimportant. Lets get some good communication going

  13. Hi Oskar just to let you guys know we can no longer drive between my two magnum sims without getting tossed offworld and then rubberbanding back with the camera all skewed . I've tried both mesh and normal cars and mesh is worse but normal cars can't cross either. This happened after the previous upgrade from today and didn't notice it until last night
  14. I don't know but I kinda like not having to live with a glitch for a month before a fix/update was applied like we did two years ago
  15. Ayesha you must not have been in sl a year and a half ago when things were bad or the grinch in you is coming out cause I've seen vast improvements since then. In that time I've seen I these forums several ideas put forth by users deployed so they are listening. Sure SL need more work but if you've ever done programming work it takes time to follow proper procedures instead of just tossing sever code out there and hope it works. Some bugs are extremely hard to trace especially when you can't restart the system every 5 minutes while you try a fix. Though I'm sure they have a separate world for creating fixes there most likely isn't anyway to load test it like you can in SL main. As one that has been a programmer irl it amazes me how well SL works given the limited number of staff.
  16. Hi that'll be handy when available. I was wondering are there any plans on having a way to save multiple replies from the function in a text form instead of just memory? In memory that can really lag things bad if one is getting dozens of hits and even hit the cap for list storage
  17. I've uncovered a secret plot by Linden labs to cause builders merchants and public to be overworked using all this new stuff they have added and repairs so far to make SL fun again Thanks to all those that have worked so hard the last months and may you have a happy Thanks Giving:)
  18. Hey Oskar Last week I posted a JIRA and requested info here on a sim problem I was having where it would suddenly lag and crash. I may have found out why and wanted to offer my idea on it to consider or trash. What I discovered was soon as the newest viewer was released the problem suddenly stopped. Coincidence? Maybe who knows but this did happen before and was cured when a viewer upgraded with plugged memory leaks. Just food for thought that it may not always be the server causing problems thanks
  19. Hi Oskar I went over and tested at Aditi and conducted the tests requested and all worked fine with the exception of one minor and one as a merchant I would call a show stopper. The minor issue was I could not drag from an object contents to the ground on the blue or green parcel the show stopper is if you open an object and select copy to inventory it sends the contents directly to the lost and found. I filed a JIRA on it SVC-7437 Also I tried to drop an attachment on the red and yellow areas but the drop option wasn't available...not sure if that is intended or not Hope it was of some help
  20. Hey Oskar Can you explain what you mean by "Remove an attachment such that it tries but cannot rez and must be returned." on the inventory beta test page please?

We've had an issue with my magnum sims for about two weeks now where the sim will be working great then suddenly everyone on the sim will lag and sim stats will have the sim ping going sky high and sim and physics fps drop near 0 and remaining there until a restart. I have filed a JIRA on this (SVC-7423) Other things we have noted: 1. All guests are effected the same regardless of viewer being used 2. Doesn't matter if there are 10 guests or 50 or how heavily scripted they are with this triggers 3. Usually happens when someone TP's in 4. On my sim it seems to happen more around 3:30PM when we have the most people TPing in at the same time for our event but will happen at any time of the day 5. This appears to be the same symptoms again that I reported on months ago that was traced to a faulty TPV version and was fixed by barring that specific viewer 6. These Symptoms did not start to appear immediately after the weekly upgrade of the Magnum servers but about 3 days later(been a problem about 2 weeks now) 7. The connected homestead sim which is also on Magnum will lag and need to be restarted at the same time

Hey Oskar this isn't a gripe or anything but just to let someone know that our magnum sim is experiencing issues with sudden inworld chat lag and even scripts lagging severely or not working at all along with the symptoms Ayesha Askham mentioned. It'll be working fine then act up then be fine again after hour or so. A restart does fix it faster then waiting. Thing is it's all appears to be random with no obvious causes such as lots of visitors or other high scripted items. However it does happen more often during peak SL traffic hours. I can't reproduce it in order to fill out a JIRA but wanted to give the headsup just in case it was something you've been watching One thing to note we experienced these same symptoms a few months back and traced it to a faulty TPV that when more then two users of it would trigger the same problems once that viewer was repair the problem went away..perhaps a viewer is making excessive calls to the server? Thanks

  25. Cincia you sure have that right estate script time has been snapshot then average then back to snap shot several times this year I forget where it is right now lol. But more so if you check script counts in estate vs. the status window the count is usually off by a couple thousand scripts running and script times are different by sometimes 10.0ms... which is accurate? I took a screen shot of my sim when I bought it with nothing on it save a couple friends who were very low scripted and the status window still said there were 700 scripts running,how can that be? My friends sure weren't wearing that many scripts! Maybe there is a logical answer but we haven't been told so we all have to keep guessing and pestering LL when our sims lag. As I've been pushing for ways for us to watch over things ourselves I agree with Sassy and Cincia that accurate data would sure help. I wish more people were like Sassy and descripted items that don't need them. It's not just hair why are sunglasses scripted? If it's to adjust fine but then take the scripts out to help everyone enjoy SL
