Gelöscht wird normalerweise kein Avatar - aber es kann sein, dass jemand den Blödsinn als störend empfunden hat und den Avatar gemeldet hat - dann wird er auf einige Zeit gesperrt, wenn ein Verstoß gegen die TOS vorliegt. Üblicherweise bekommt der Übeltäter auch eine Nachricht an seine E-Mail, warum es zu der Sperre kam und wie lange sie dauert. Der Betroffene kann via Ticket bei Linden dagegen protestieren und seine Seite der Geschehnisse darlegen, wenn dem so ist. Vielleicht noch ein Hinweis für die Zukunft: Nicht jeder empfindet Späße auf dieselbe Weise - es kann also durchaus vorkommen, dass sich jemand gestört fühlt.

Some old version viewers need first and lastname to login. For new users having a single name only the last name is "Resident" for compatibility purposes. So logging in with your firstname and Resident as lastname should be possible. Every viewer will take some time to learn and get used to SL - so just give yourself a chance.

This is not true - even if you are a basic account holder you can submit some types of tickets and they will be honored, Just submit a ticket telling you are stuck at this location: Velo%20Far%20East/74/132/22 and cannot login any more. THis has nothing to do with second class - login is a basic ticket type available for everyone. Greets, Wol

A quick way is to submit a Ticket (Help-Submit a ticket) for account issues stating that login is disabled but you appear online to LL - they willl reset your avatar rather quick. Obviously my IM's didn't help- sorry for that.

Stuck or Ghost Avatars happen some times, Usually the SIM needs a restart (done on request of the SIM owner). If the sim owner doesn't restart the SIM you can open a support ticket, so LL can reset your Avatar. Another thing is to write an IM to you to get you off here - I will try this in a few minutes. Welcome back then ... Just found this and for information to the community: During the last weeks I had multiple occurences where a reset of the router solved login, teleport and voice problems. It seems that routers have some mechanism to update their internal firewall and at certain times lock ports - I have no idea about the reason. So take your routers off for a minute (thats the time you need to clear cache - so you can do in parallel). Have fun and happiness Wol

Hi Farrah, I am a user since first beta (to get used to it and to provide help) and yes - there are differences that make the change a bit difficult. But while using the new viewer I found many new things that are improvements and I learned to use the new thingie - like I learned to use the old viewer when I was a young man (LOL - some time ago). There are still some odds compared to 1.23 or Emerald - but after some day of training you will find your way through. Give yourself a chance and stay here - why leaving freinds and fun just because of some training hours? Greetings, Wol

Long post so I could have missed this, but in my old worn memory there was something similar ..... Go to Graphic settings -> hardware options and disable the Enable OpenGl Vertex Buffer Objects. About the Skeleton you are missing -> Avatars actually do have a skeleton which can never be seen because of the skin, but it's the thing where you attach objects to. Wol, SL Guided Tours

In the past it was USD 9.90 for every additional account. It was changed after some time to allow for 5 free Alt-Accounts in combination with the mailbox. Even if LL would charge the fee, there is no way to actually distinguish between Alt-Accounts and different Family Members sharing the same PC.

There is a limit of 5 Avatars per Mailbox. So if you get another mailbox you get another 5 accounts. And they don't need to cheat - the hardwired I/P Adress of your network adapter for example is a unique identity. Also fixed I/P adresses are a sign of having the same system. Like my router is always giving me the same I/P internally. Cheaters are the ones with a name fo each character in alphabet - they get all things out of money chairs while other really wait for their chance. Greets... Wolwaner Jervil, SL Guided Tours

I cannot reproduce this problem, but as a circumvention: How about having a nice High-Res picture of the complete Window and making the cutout to the size you like with a graphis program like Gimp? Your Camera window may have moved of screen - usually there will be a little rest of the window on screen to be used as a handle and move it back. It may alse be overlaid by a HUD - so you might try detaching all HUD's and see if te camera window is somewhere behind. Wol, SL Guided Tours
