I think you would be pushing it if they stripped completly and you advertised it as such. Unfortunatly with a MacBook with intergrated graphics youre gonna be pushing brown stuff uphill to get SL run fast. The only options are to get a mac with a proper 3D card NOT an integrated card. I think all new apple macbooks don't use integrated video so anything new should be a huge improvement. You would have to get a replacement as you cant upgrade the graphics in a macbook (like most laptops). You could try running a 1.19 base client (ie a pre winlight client) rather than somthing based off 1.23. That should probaby increase your framerate by a factor of 1.5x. Scruffy

The simple answer is No. The way scripts access notecards hasnt changed. For a notecard to be able to be read by a script it has always had to be full perms. O one other point while I remember it .. making a notecard no-mod doesnt prevent you from copying it. You can simply cut and paste the notecard when its displayed into a new notecard. The only point of having a no mod notecard is preventing somone from changing somthing that you wrote in a notecard and claiming you wrote it. Scruffy

Like ELQ says you can use some text based clients for editing and compiling scripts. METABolt allows you to do this. However you may want to try a 1.19 based client. I havn't read throught all the comments yet but the first thing I would do is check what groups you are in. If you have added your new account to a group your old avi was in then perhaps a persistant person would spot new people joining the groups. I had a friend who that happend to. She created a new alt but added the alt to some of the same groups and the person who was annoying her deduced that the alt was her. Scruffy
