  1. If you try to edit furniture that has a shadow on it (yes even if you don't have edit rights to it), you will see a flat prim at ground level with a texture on it. If you look through marketplace, you will find some shadow textures for cheap or even free.
  2. I have found that when using the mesh viewer you need to put cache into its own folder seperate from all other viewers - TO include the normal v2 viewers. I don't know why but it seems to help. and apparentely once you get to a mesh enabled area you need to relog for things to work properly the first time. Seems like just the first time you use the viewer you need to do the relog. Once you do this you should have no problems seeing the meshes around you. At least that has been my experience.
  3. This mesh development is some of the most transparent and user inclusive development cycles that I have seen from LL. So I will not be one of those harassing LL about when will it be done but will instead thank them for their hard work in getting this done.
  4. There is a seller on marketplace that claims to be able to convert form the saved xml file to blender. I bought this product and do not recommend it. I have been told their is an update and I am waiting for the seller to get back to me on this. As of right no there is no direct way to take your avatar shape into any design program. At least not that I am aware of. If this update works out I will let you know.
  5. Just a few tips if I may, Which version of blender are you using? If your using the 2.56 version then there are several modifiers that will greatly aid in you building of things like a house. These same modifiers are probably available in 2.49 but I make no guarantee as I haven't work in that version for many months. Solidify Decimate Array Are all likely to help you.
  6. People think they can just jump right in and create a sculpt without learning anything about them. Well you can't1 Sculpts have some very strict restrictions on them that mean you need to learn some background info before you can start making them. The SL wiki is a good place to start along with http://www.dominodesigns.info/ http://blog.machinimatrix.org/ for details on how to work with sculpts and blender. Also I saw that you have Primstar. I suggest you get Jass. Jass is what Primstar would be if Domino hadn't gotten sick.
  7. The history of SL is full of "features" that the residents didn't ask for but got anyways. Add another one to the list.
  8. Where are the numbers for the retention rates? LL used to publish them.
