  1. saltydogg68 Baily No matter what you write here to the Lindens, they wont respond as they are not here in the Forum. You can write to them as a ticket or you can call them by phone. But this forum is only members like yourself, who logically cant help you with this problem. Blessings Madam Martian / Lis
  2. Thank you KarenMichelle.. It took us nearly half a year to figure it out. But as designers we had too.. I was loosing interest and have never really gotten back to designing after that long break... Issue 1: is the coalesced objects.. But Issue 2: If it is not the coalesced objects that does it, then its most likely if more viewers is downloaded to same computer, and they dont speak with each other well.. Mine worked ok, without 'failed to find'' for a couple weeks after i did the objects, but then it went back to *failed to find xxxxxx in database* and another designer joined me with same issue... We found that the multiple viewers (especially if the offical viewer is downloaded) is the main issue.. I removed all viewers back then and keept just firestorm and it worked well.. I have since downloaded more viewers, just not the offical one, and it still works... Hugs Lis
  3. The error called *Failed to find ***** in Database* I had that problem too. it took a long time to figure it out, even with help/contact with support, but here is what we found out and what worked for us. I do hope it will work for you aswell. Good luck with it. Failed to find in Database ANSWER
  4. If I understand correctly, then you want to downgrade from premium member and need to get rid of your linden home to do that? If that is correct.. go to your linden home/land.. click the land tap, choose abandon and it should work (as i recall it.. its been a while since i done it myself)... then after that you go to your dashboard and downgrade from premium to basic member. Dashboard --> https://secondlife.com/my/ But as Rolig says, you need to provide more info, for us to be able to help you, so please do edit your question and explain what the problem is and what the error says... Good luck with it Lis / madam
  5. Eden Marquis wrote: I can't update my 1st Life profile sent in a Jira, but I know how that works You might want to look into it if you have time Hi Eden... We are only members here, so we can not look into it for you. But have you tried to update the 1st life profile from your browser (so no need to be inworld while doing it) ? You find your profile here: https://my.secondlife.com/Eden.Marquis Or try to send in a ticket to Lindenlab if this doesnt work either.. good luck with it.. Lis / madam
  6. Vulpinus wrote: snip: I can't put it down yet! Madam is still purring cuddly But as a custom skin designer I will agree with you on this 'flat'.. The upper part of the body is a tiny bit flat but....... those thighs *purrs again. I am not sure if I can explain it right, as English is not my first language, but I wouldn't mind a bit more 'flaws' ( if that is the right word ? ) to the texture in the face and the upper part of the body, but mmmm.... THOSE thighs makes it purrfect... I took 2014 off from working in S.L. but I do work on some new skins (good old fashion skins, not mesh) that do have a few more flaws ( wrinkles, etc.) and will look a bit older than most skins in S.L. cause I think most skins look to young, but that's just a personal opinion. Did I remember to say I really like those thighs. They look quite delicious.... I wouldn't be able to put you... ermmm I mean put 'it' down again either *winks Blessings Lis / madam
  7. Vulpinus wrote: I just had to post these pictures. I've not bothered with mesh bodies because of the clothing issue and, well, I just wasn't all that impressed really. Until I found this one earlier today... It's amazing. The photos really don't do it justice. And clothes simply aren't an issue - would you want to cover this up? Now I just want the creator to do a human version. Purrrssssssssss

No doubt I'm doing something wrong, but I've no idea what it is! I had the same problem, it took me loooong to figure out how to do it. I made a thread about it back then, its here → How And I have made a picture with step by step. I dont know if it explains okay, but its worth a try... Lis / madam Martian

  11. Venetia Cazalet wrote: Hi, is there a way to turn name tags off so no one can see them? There are a group of us doing a show performance soon and it looks awful with all our names showing for both the audience and on the film that is being made of it? Thanks Venetia Cazalet If it is only/mostly for the film, that you dont want it to show, then just make sure that the one that is filming it has it turned off, then it doesnt matter if others have it on, as it will only show on the screen to them and not the one that is making and taping the film itself..

  13. There are not many custom designers left in SL.. It takes to much time and becomes to expensive, making single items.. I do custom designs myself, however 2014 is my year off... If you do not find a designer to help you here in the forum, then the best you can do is go to serch inworld, under classified type Custom or Custom design and see what comes up. Be sure to check the list all the way down, as often active custom designers do not always have a big shop, so some of them might be further down the list. PS: Be sure to check all types of copyright issues aswell.. Good luck with it.
  14. PS: Rolig means Calm on danish... It fits you... ♥

  17. Unfortunately there is very few custom designers left in SL.. it simply takes to much time making custom items, and the more time it takes, the higher the price and often it ends up in a price I personally wont feel good about taking.. I used to do custom designs, but 2014 is my year off. thou I do love doing it, it's hard work.. When I was activ doing custom designs, a skin made from scratch could easily end up in 10.000 lindens.. ( never full perm) I often did skins made from the persons real life pictures. It was/is a blast doing them, but they just take way to much time, and can only be sold once, since it is custom... I do plan on starting somewhat up again sometime next year, but that wont do you two any good right now, so I do have an advice for the both of you.. If you have no luck searching here in the forums, then try inworld search instead, it would poberbly give you more hits if you search in the classified using the words custom design or just the word custom.. And scroll down thou them all, sometimes the very active custom designers do not have a huge shop (as the custom isnt sold more than once) so they might be lower in the search, so make sure to check them all out.. Good luck...

Didn't like what I came up with so went back to what I had before. And now, I have these aweful spots just below my eyebrows. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I have tried all of the suggestions I have received from friends, including: 1. Going back to the newbie avie and rebuilding from there. 2. Rezzing the skin from its original box. 3. Played with all the eye and head settings in edit shape.. 4. Deleted all cache and reinstalled Firestorm. 5. Tried a different skin (problem still there on other skins) I doln't know what else to do. I have added the following photo so you can see what I'm talking about. I really need help on this one. I hope someone can provide some guidance. Thank You. Might be a hairbase/brow shaper issue. The "Hair" object all avatars must wear is usually only used for eyebrow shape these days but its actually a sort of "helmet" that was used for head hair originally. Most of the time the "hair" portion has been shrunken to fit inside the avatar's head invisibly but sometimes part of it ends up sticking out. Try wearing a different brow shaper or resize all settings on the one you're wearing to their minimums. ↑ I agree with Theresa ↑ it looks to me as two types of eyebrows on top of each other.. Are you wearing a hairbase and a brownshaper (look in your 'worn' folder) If so then thats poberbly the issue...
  19. singlematt wrote: I am looking for a girl that younger than me on SL to become my long time friend and have sex with me everyday on SL. IM ME inworld (singlematt) I gotta start by saying english aint my first (i'm danish).. so I might misunderstand (happens a lot) But... you are looking for a friend, a long time friend? maybe its me, but you have sex with friends? I kinda divide em to, friends = thats the ppl I hang out with, - trust, - talk to, - have fun with goofing around, shopping and well just spending a lot of time doing anything BUT having sex. 'special friends' or 'friends with benifits' = usually dont last loooongterm in my book, thats the one to have sex with, so to me its two different things you are serching... Why does she has to be younger than you? (yeah Im nosy, I know.. my ex keept telling me that...) Doesnt *looooongterm friend* means a friend one have had for a looooong time? Or is my english messed up again? Such a shame I am way older than you *winks.. But hey good luck with your serch, I do doubt you find both longterm friend and sexpartner in one and same person, but I do wish ya all the best ♦ Lis
  20. Your Username is the one you signed up with and sign into SL with.. that can not be changed. But you can change a Displayname. My username is Madam Martian, but my displayname is Lis. A display name can be changed only once a week, so if you change it be sure to double check that it is correct. But no you can not change the username. As Sven said if its a brandnew account, if it were me, then I would make a new one instead, but if you allready have a lot of items on this account and have 'made' yourself as you want, then i would stick to it and just change the displayname. Good luck and welcome to Second Life ♦ Lis
  21. Coby Foden wrote: Splatulated wrote: i then equipped the sailing hud... You didn't "equip" the sailing HUD. You attached it. Please try to use common SL terms instead of inventing your own ones. Thanks. :smileyhappy: Why it is good to use common SL terms? Lots of people are reading the forums. If they are new, they will be totally confused if people use their own invented terms instead of the common SL terms. So please use the SL terms, you make a service to the community by doing so. ↑ I got to agree with this ↑ Splatulated I saw your post when you just made it, but english is not my first languid, = I did not understand your question correct, so I moved along instead of trying to help you. I could have answered your question within just a couple minuts after you asked it.. Sticking to the common SL terms might get you more help as many residents are not english, but we do know the usual SL terms somewhat.. ♦ Lis

  24. Yohh wrote: I've been getting that Error since yesterday, this is a No Copy, Shape, that I've been making little touches to here and there for sometime, and suddenly I can't wear it. I've tried clearing my Cache, I'm not sure what to do. I had that issue too, I think it was last year. I had it with almost anything I tried to make or open or wear. I was premium at the time, so I tried with help from support and it worked for a day or week and then went back to *failed to find.... in database* But I do have to add, that they were really helpful and tried hard to help me fix it. I am a designer, so it was a really big problem to me because I could not create anything without getting the *failed to.... database* It was (mildly said) driving me nuts and almost driving me away from second life. But...... I got in contact with another designer, Carina who had the exact same problem, and we sat out to figure out why we had it, and how to fix it (since LL's help didnt do much for us). It took a long time, but we finally got it figured out. And I made a thread with it, in case others ran into same problems. You got to read the lower part of my first post.. after the UPDATE Jan-8th 2013 part... The upper part is what LL told us to do.. make sure to do that as well.. As we had already done that before we did second part of the post. so it might be a mix of both, that made it work for us... I hope it works for you as well.. Good luck (Plz. let us know if you get it figured out too) Lis Failed to find .... in Database - ANSWER
  25. I can see nobody have given you a answer yet, so I suggest you try to ask this question in Scripting Forum. as there might be a bigger chance of someone that will be able to help you with a answer.. Good luck with it
