    Harry, just an fyi - Mainland Tier dates due are tied to an individuals billing date, not to an individual sim, so the tier date due will be whatever the buyers billing date is (that date can be found in the Account Summary page on secondlife.com) which will probably be different from what your billing date is.

    Tier is based upon the maximum meters held within a billing period, so if you happen to purchase land the last day of your billing period whatever tier level you are at once the purchase is made is what you pay on your billing date - so it makes sense to make a purchase as close to after your billing date as possible so you get the most days out of it.  :)

    It depends if you made a Market buy (which should be filled almost immediately, but may take a short time - see below), or a Limit buy which will be filled when your limit price is met (when someone sells L$ at the price you set).

    Buy orders may be partially filled: Your Linden Dollars might be purchased from multiple sellers, and not all at the same time. Your buy order will remain open until it is completed or you cancel the order.

    I need help joining land that my group owns

    Generally this kind of thing happens if you don't have the correct group tag active or have switched active groups multiple times. Try logging in and then activating you want to buy the land for, you should then be able to see the buy for group button (make sure that you have enough free tier in that group). You may need to switch your active group back and forth once to get it to recognize the proper active group.
