  1. 1) Yes, there were. 2) I don't think SL was capable of hens laying eggs in 2008 LOL 3) Yes, I believe there may have been sound effects. But 10 years ago, again, too long to remember!
  2. It was a lot of fun. Here's some photos. This was July 2008 so image quality stinks LOL Maureen Boccaccio thought it up if I remember correctly.
  3. This is a very usual type of outfit for me. Basics, easy to mix and match.
  4. 40 people at once? You may have to contact the sim you intend to visit first. Bringing in that many people will take away from the amount of people the sim can hold. Also, if taking photos (which it sound like may happen), you need to be sure the sim allows photography and, potentially, machinima if anyone intends to do that. Not all sim owners want their places shown in photos. Many years ago, a large group of us dressed up as chickens and one from sim to sim in a similar manner. It was considered griefing to some of the owners and we actually got banned from one. Better to double check all possibilities first.
  5. I'd suggest playing around with your shape. First thing I noticed is the hands are extremely large. You want to size them down quite a bit. There's lots of good shapes you can buy. Strawberry Singh makes reasonably priced shapes for nearly every body/head available. She sells them for only 99 Lindens which is a steal for a a well made shape. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/63740?search[category_id]=333&search[maturity]=General&search =1&search[per_page]=12&search[store_id]=63740

  7. I think I didn't explain it correctly - the item doesn't disappear as in, gone gone gone. It temporarily can't be seen as you edit. Once you go out of edit, the object is there. I spoke w/my land owner, Crap Mariner, and he hasn't noticed anything himself so I put in a ticket. I need to check the Jira too I guess
  8. Is anyone else experiencing problems the past week or so rezzing/opening boxes? Also, when items are in edit, they disappear as you edit? Status seems to indicate all is well but not so much for me.
  9. For those who knew him, Phoenix Psaltry has lost the good fight. His wife in SL and RL, Sammie, announced he passed earlier this morning. P2, as he was known, had battled for many years more health issues than anyone else I know and somehow managed to keep a positive outlook throughout. I mean, he literally beat down deaths door several times in recent years. Musician, writer, SL pioneer. One of the first people I knew that found his true love in SL. A huge presence in so many ways. He will be sorely missed by many.
  10. Orwar - I just saw this thread; if you are still requesting test models, count me in. By coincidence I had looked you up earlier today and really like your photographic style. Here's the link to my flickr. Feel free to contact me in world. I'm not there much weekdays but do receive messages when someone is trying to reach me. https://www.flickr.com/photos/elora_lunasea/
  11. This got me curious so I made Google my friend. Seems a lot of tea purveyors make this type of Earl Grey. I personally never heard of it before this. My gist of it is the bergamot is probably overridden by the vanilla which is added to smooth out the citrus tones inherent in that tea. A "lighter" flavor profile. IDK. Sounds like a wimpier version to me LOL.
  12. I don't think so. Isn't it the essential flavor of that tea? (We love tea in our home)
  13. I gravitate to very furry avatars Llamas, alpacas, you know. Furry.
  14. Change over to the default avatar. Start fresh and see if it happens again. If so I'd suspect the body HUD as others mentioned. How old is your Maitreya body? Maybe you haven't had it updated to the most current version.
  15. Quick snapshot - Working on my homestead. It's as cold there as it is in my RL right now.
  16. Some of my favs are: Blueberry (yea yea everyone says this but it's for a reason. If you have Maitreya Lara body, everything fits perfectly, great for mix and match basics) Ison (nicely structured modern vibe) Dead Dollz (edgy) Junbug (stunning gowns) Pixicat (sexy)
  17. Thanks Skell. I like the darker tones personally. Trying to find something matte. Favorite all time is Chanel's "Vamp". I wore it for an entire year more or less when it came out. I'll take a look at each of those stores
  18. Can anyone direct me to some creators of nail polish appliers? I don't want them to look like wallpaper. Nothing sparkly. No holiday motifs. Just a good assortment of solid colored polish such as those by Chanel, Essie, Opi, Zoya, etc.
  19. Stupid alt Head: Lelutka, May Mesh Bento Body: Maitreya, Lara Hair: Tableau Vivant, Braidy B&W Skin: L'Etre, Akemi, Cotton Shirt: Blueberry, Elisa Henley Top, Solid Red
  20. This! I never have to use the shoe base with Maitreya.
  21. Happiest of New Years to everyone. While some good things happened this year, most of the year was a ***** globally which created a lot of undue anxiety and stress. Hoping 2018 finds everyone more at peace. G and I are spending a quiet night home feasting on fine food and expensive champagne. A local restaurant we'd been to on a previous New Year was offering take home dinners this year. Waldorf salad, Burgundy short ribs, truffled cheese tortellini, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and a chocolate mousse cake to top it off. It's all prepared - pick up/heat and serve when ready. We have a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne in the fridge, which we'll finally open. I'll keep that dinner a secret from my nutritionist
