btw...just noticed on this forum youre also advertising your mall...promoting it, trying to get renters to take up mall spots...I dont think this post asking wether you should close your business...is going to inspire any sort of confidence.

Hi voodoo Ive read a few of your forums posts over the last couple of months...all connected with your business (I think at one point you were thinking of selling your store)...and how youre wanting to do this...then that...etc etc...seems to me (and this is just my opinion) that youre really restless...and in some sort of a rut...or maybe you just need a big break from SL for a time? When you posted about wanting to get more exposure for your store..I checked out the gear...looked to be well made & good quality...maybe....cut out the stuff that isnt making cash...let the store run...and sit back for a while until youre sure of your direction. Good luck in whatever you do :-)

Im heading for bed or Id answer more fully...but one thought...appartment blocks have a major drawback for renters and that is privacy. Living on top of one another affords them none. For me that would be a major dampner ..no chat privacy...no cam privacy...they always seem a good idea but, they just arent.

Steady on..I wasnt referring to YOU..i was answering the poster. Yes I agree that age is not an indication of honesty...which is why I said "I could be wrong"..however this person does talk often in concierge chat and they dont appear, tome anyway, to be anything other than a normal landlord....also...this thread has been posted on SLU INCLUDING the persons name , as it was included here also...also with the tags "scam & fraud" added by the poster. To give an opinion and call a persons reputation into doubt with one side of a story..for me..is wrong. Personally Id give advice about how to resolve...not label without al the facts. (edited to add, the name was there initially here also)

BeforeI labelled anyone a "scammer" and soiled their business reputation..Id have to hear both sides of this story. It seems mighty odd that a longstanding resident (2005 birth date) would act in this way without some sort of a reason no? Perhaps a misunderstanding and language problem...I could be wrong of course..but Id hate to take any side unless I heard the whole scenario..reputations are hard won...and easily ruined.

Much to my surprise..Im really in to mesh. That happened gradually though..I use the dolphin viewer to enable me to wear layers of mesh which is pretty fabulous (dolphin I find, for me, also is less laggy,less crashy) coldLogic & Jane are my favourite mesh brand..closely followed by CandyMetal & arisaris...their clothes just fit me perfectly with no shape tweaking..they come ina great range of sizes also. Elikitira mesh hair is fantastic..Im buying quite alot of mesh hair and always on the look out for more ! (I also find I dont need to wear the alpha layer with this brand) I have some vintage mesh pumps from candymetal that I just cant seem to take off...inexpensive too. Havent tried many more mesh shoes or boots..HOC had a lovely pair of mesh sneakers out as a gift, and they totally rocked my boat.(I bought the full pack also) Most days Iam clothed from head to toe in mesh.

I can see your point, however I tend to rename folders of clothing so I can find them without having to recall the exact name. I add keywords such as : sheer,precise colours (brick red,fire engine red etc etc),leather, etc..it makes searching for items to gather a look, much simpler.

Winter is my favourite season...Im in England UK...so Im used to being cold ! Love all the layering..the snuggly sweaters,scarfs and lets not forget all the ooodles of winter boots ...we always get a rush of adorable mufflers, gloves,mittens & scarfs too. This year..and sadly I cant recall off hand who made it,...but I got a hot water bottle from a gatcha ,wearable with the cutest pose ever...

I had a slow start with mesh, mostly because I couldnt find a mesh enbaled viewer that I didnt crash every 5 mins with. I persistantly stuck with the Dolphin viewer and Im totally meshed up now! Most days I wear either coldLogic, or Jane..because they fit my shape perfectly with no editing required..but also CandyMetal are releasing mesh now and the prices are so inexpensive. Arisaris also have had some really lovely mesh gear out..again not overly expensive. Was dead chuffed that SF Designs had a Monday Mania mesh pair of pants...one of my all time favourite stores from 2007 ! Ive tried mesh hair...elikatira & exile...thrilled with it. My fav mesh shoes are a new release from CandyMetal "vintage pumps"...adorable and such unusual colours. Have yet to go and demo SLink or maitreya...its on my *to do* list.

Dark Mouse has always been a fav of mine...well made..affordable .

Hi Jamie ! I glanced at your market place store to get a feel for your work..love the lower prim beds (9prims), some of the other furniture seems a bit primtastic for my tastes...as a landlord Im always on the look out for quality low prim gear, as are many renters... Have you tried any of the weekly or monthly events to get your brand out there? (Like grenade free weds, TOSL,etc etc)

It is good to know that it is not LL sponsored; however, my position has always been that LL has no business whatsoever promoting individual businesses in any way, certainly not by advertising them on the splash screen -- unless it is a paid advertisement that anyone is free to buy, which this may have been for all I know. But if it was a paid advertisement opportunity, I missed the announcement. I would not be surprised if LL counts it as among their many extensive efforts to "promote mesh". yes, agreed it would be lovely to be able to get an ad on the log in screen.

It is a resident run event...not handpicked by LL or anything like that. Plenty of events like this get "splashed" across the log in screen also..I doubt its any kind of favourtism !

Hi Garey, you might find this web site very useful http://bloggingsecondlife.wordpress.com/ they have literally hundreds of bloggers listed, under catergories ie: fashion,decor etc...you can view their blogs to get a feel if its where you want your products seen..and contact them direct to see if theyd like to blog your items. hope it helps

I dont want LL to let new residents know they have a choice to have a home an NOT be a premium member, and especially, I wouldnt want them to let the cat out of the bag that you can rent a really nice home privately, and that a Linden home wasnt the only option.

I like to have each piece of the outfit, on each layer..and dont mind paying more to have it that way. Yes, it does make a huuuuge folder....I also like that some designers will add parts with options for resize script or hand modify...even bigggger folder mmhmm...two designers that spring to mind that are good about layers & resizer or not option..SF Design & Arisaris.

Since yesterday, magically ALL of my inventory loaded. for simply ages a aprrox 3000 items never showed up..despite all efforts...now its hog heaven ...all that gear I thought Id lost is back ! (yes, Im spinning around on one leg,chanting ..so I dont break the spell)

Hi Ms Shy ! one more thing to consider is...renting a fully furnished sky home..it might cost say 100-150 per week..but have all the kit in it, rather than you having to buy/supply your own. (some also give a prim allowance so you can personalise it)... Plus if you rent from a private landlord, as opposed to LL direct...look for a landlord who gives added value ie: live help & assistance. A private estate may also give you lots of extras, like landscaped/themed areas, activities laid on, areas you can use for relaxing/inviting friends over ...beautiful beaches...forests...boats & jet skis to play with...etc etc Hope you find what youre looking for !
