I'm seeing really high usage numbers again for bandwidth. ranging between 1.5mbit to 4mbit. Region was lusk I was in.

It's no longer in the viewer code it's self so even adding a command line arguement to it would not do a thing. you will have to find one of the tvp's that still support it.

My only concern besides selling is the grid came to a grinding halt when we hit 79 or 80 thousand people online, what's it going to do when it hits 200k?

With the "old bit of news" you do realize that nothing ever happend besides them getting ahold of it. no fraud, no misuse, nothing, go check the official steam forums out. if there was an issue with the info inside that encrypted DB being cracked, it would of caused a panic.

if the lab can not help you with this the only logical course of action is to rebuild your vehicles/aircraft and then send it out to everybody who bought one.

Bases are not being evaced, I know this first hand, second my scope and the observatory I goto all the time have shown nothing you claim in your first post. You can claim all you want, but when the proof smacks you in the face that a few of us know exactly what we are talking about, I think it's then time to pack it up and say sorry and move along. Looks to me like the database is borked, possibly broken sql links and such. only advice I can give is find the secondlife beta group and look for a linden online and ask them directly for help, the ticket system as I just found out is about impossible to use because there support people (scouts) do not seem to use the product they are supporting.

I've got a support ticket in on this issue, but they keep insisting I uninstall my prefered client and use there's only. I have thiers and it's giving me the same result as others.

I have the same video card, I am on ultra settings too with all the shiny's, you need to make sure though that you are not trying to draw more then 150m in certain area's and in others no more then 50m, if you want the best performance, now if you are an close to empty sim (building/av wise) you can crank it up with no real issues. Just remember if you are trying to draw everything in a sim that is loaded down ,you are going to lag like crazy, espcially with this card. so drop that draw distance.

A skunk suit, well since I am a skunk, I think it would be neat to have, espcially when I go into fennec mode, hehe

Only time I have EVER EVER seen ping times into the 20k is when and I mean when I was running very out dated hardware Thus far after my upgrade last year to a whole new system I have not seen pings above 80, so something is a miss here and I never expereince these problems you are claiming. So my advice check your hardware and see if it's bottlenecking, Sl aint really mean to run on hardware more then a few years old it is that demanding and wont get any better, so my advice, buy a computer that can handle SL.

I owned a full sim for a bit on my main and was not premium, soo no you do not need to be premium, unless they changed it.

Let me chime in on this since I just terminated a guy yesterday for doing exactly what your wanting to do. He is a secondlife addict and has been bugging the IT staff constantly to remove the block on SL, he's been told no for the last 6 months, but yesterday he decided after what he called "research" that he was able to find away around our websence proxy server. It took no less then 3 mintues from him connecting and moving around until the HEAD IT guy came storming into the office and confronted him about it as you see, he was using a vpn to bypass our websence machine, well a vpn is no harm it's self since we use them in the work place to do work for other sites around the country, but he was not working he was playing SL through a vpn and the kicker here is that the normal rate of usage for a vpn is pretty low, Unless your using secondlife, see secondlife is BANDWIDTH heavy and there is no way around that. soo in short I fired him yesterday for it. Companies have policies set forth to prevent these type of activies and websence makes a great deal of effort helping in that goal. I would not risk my job with how the economy is over this world.

No there not bringing them back, the custom names can still be ordered from the lab. Either you saw a legacy lastname that snuk through towards the end or a display name.

You will be paying Linden labs 295.00 usd a month, The grandfather sims that are 195.00 usd a month goto the new rate all users pay for a sim. They eliminated grandfather tier on transfer some time back

Iam quily of keeping a HUGE inventory on my main at one time, for the first 2 years in SL I had 139k in inventory alone. now with that same account I am ranging 43k, I deleted alot of stuff. My alt here has only 8k. I am keeping her's as nice as I can.
