Very strange

Is it just me or are the traffic numbers wonky today and yesterday? I own a number of parcels that are open to visitors. I track my numbers every day. This morning (and yesterday) the traffic number that comes up in search and the traffic number that comes up in my "about land" window are wildly different. Later in the day, the numbers changed. The numbers continue to be different from each other and different from the morning hours. Usually the traffic numbers change at Midnight. I am on SL time so I know it is not a time zone issue. Has anyone else experienced this? Has there been a recent change in traffic calculation for 2023 that I am not aware of? I am so puzzled!

Thank you! I have used the advanced menu to look at the statistics bar, but I do not see how much script memory is allotted for the entire sim so I can calculate my portion (1/32 as you say). There is a lot of information in that tool. Which number am I looking at? BTW I didn't even know that tool existed, so thank you!

I just increased my parcel size to 2048m. I wondered if anyone knew what the maximum number of parcel script memory I can run and still be lag free on my parcel. Anyone have a good number for me? Unlike a prim count, it is unclear. It is an adventure parcel with many things to touch to activate, touch to hear words & touch to receive items. To make the adventure fun, I have to run a lot of scripts but I am not sure what the max might be. Thanks for any advice!

Thanks. I did not write the script myself, but it is full perm so I will look it over and see if that is the case. If it is I will modify it.

I will try those things! Thanks! All my other scripts are working. It is just the gas bomb scripts that stopped though I can see the gas bombs themselves dropping when I use Ctr Alt T. The sound is going off and the message appears as it is supposed to. It's just so odd. I have gone around all my parcels and have removed scripts from other things that are not as vital to the "atmosphere" of the builds, two of the parcels started running the gas bombs again, but the third has not. The parcel that is still not running the gas bomb is at 12000 kb. And while that is somewhat high, it is not ridiculous. The other parcels were running at around 5000 - 7000kb. I think this is a pretty normal amount and I was only able to reduce them by about 500kb. Maybe a restart would be helpful. I have no new neighbors in any of the parcels nor any new high script gadgets that I can discover.

I could use a little advice from anyone who can help! I am running 2 scripts in a door that has been working perfectly for a long time (over a year) and they have stopped working on my parcels, but not at the sandbox that allows scripts to run. The script in the door releases an invisible and temporary ball that has a script inside it that releases a dust particle. When you touch the door to the tomb, the door opens and releases the invisible, temporary "gas bomb" that explodes so it looks like a cloud of dust is being released as you open the door. I have taken the whole build to the sand box where the door works perfectly. But it has stopped working on my parcels. I have reset the scripts. Didn't work on my parcels. I have created new scripts and replaced the old ones. Still doesn't work on my parcels. I have owned these parcels for many years. I alone own them. Obviously my parcels are set to run scripts. I am not a noob. I have been building successfully for more than a decade. I am totally stumped. Anyone have any clue why this is happening and how I can fix it? Thanks!

Question: I have banned someone from one of my parcels. I put the name on the ban list but the person is still able to come and is picked up on both of my visitor lists ( lists made of 2 different types of scripts with a short range of 20m next to landing spot). How is this person able to escape the ban and come to my parcel? I have owned this particular parcel for 10 years and this has never happened before! Advice and thoughts?

Good question...it is the same bot at each location and on all occasions. None of my parcels have anything in common that would attract a specific type of bot; one is a gallery, two are shops of different kinds and one is an immersive experience for all to enjoy. They are all open to the public. The only thing they have in common is that I own the parcels (and have for many years) and have created everything on the parcels. There are several parcels for sale in the general vicinity of my parcels, but this does not really explain why the bot is not just at the arranged landing point for each location, but is instead exploring all the levels of each of my parcels. My oldest parcel I have owned since 2011 and this has never happened before which is why I am questioning the bot's constant presence at this time.

Lately each of my four parcels has been repeatedly visited by the same surveybot. It goes not just to my builds on the ground, but at every level in the sky where I have other builds..all open to the public. Three of my parcels are in totally different sims. None of them are even remotely near each other. All are on the mainland. I have not actually seen the bot myself. But it keeps getting caught in my visitor list which I check and reset every day. It seems unlikely that this is random. Is it possible that there is something sinister behind this..like a copy bot type of thing? I have banned the bot today from all of my parcels. Anyone else have theories or knowledge about why this bot is targeting my far flung parcels?

I was recently contacted by an avatar I do not know, asking if I would like to participate in a series of grid wide hunts. To participate, I would need to pay a 500L fee. I have a low traffic shop and several themed parcels ( for people to enjoy for free. Not selling anything in these places, I just love to create.The low traffic does not bother me at all. I am not looking to increase my visitors purposefully). I have never been approached or even thought about participating in a hunt as a merchant before. Is it normal to be asked to pay a fee to participate? On one level I feel she is attempting to scam me. Though her avatar is a few years old, she has no "picks" and her group "Grid wide hunts" has only one member. Her. I did not just fall off the SL turnip truck so I am cautious. Does anyone have an experience to share or tips on this subject? Thanks in advance to all who have time to weigh in on this.

Thanks for the good advice. I own my parcel on the mainland, and I have sent a notecard to both the land owner as well as the owner of the emitter. Still not a word but I am crossing my fingers they have just not logged in to correct the problem. Wishful thinking on part, I know. I have also taken an inworld snapshot of the snow on my parcel which I will submit as well with my complaint if I do not hear from them. I appreciate the advice from each of you. Thanks

The whole thing is a big bummer. The parcel owner has also neglected to check the box that restricts object sounds to his parcel..so I keep getting the lovely snow level update from his emitter as well...What is the point of spending 10 years in SL creating and selling if one noob can show up next door and ruin it all? I am very frustrated.

Thanks, I tried that already. There is no stop option on the controls..only 3 kinds of snow and they all flow right into my jungle...grrrrr.

I recently got a new neighbor on the parcel next to the one I have owned for more than two years which is a "jungle theme". This new neighbor has set up a snowflake emitter that is now covering part of my "jungle". I have asked them to move it to the other side of their parcel, away from mine, or to change the script to emit inside a smaller radius. No response from the neighbor so far. People come to my parcel to experience the tropical jungle experience, so obviously this is bad for business, not to mention annoying. Is this reportable as an "abuse" of my parcel? I plan to be patient a bit longer for the new owner to respond, but I'd like to know if I can send in an abuse report for this if they refuse to cooperate. Thanks

I received my stipend last week, May 27, but I did not get it yesterday, June 3rd. Anyone have a clue about this? I sent in a ticket and hope to have my 300L asap. It's not much but it helps!
