  1. You could always try uploading with the LL viewer? I have to do that myself since I crash every time I try to upload using Exodus.
  2. I think it's funny that we have to see it as a good thing that the CEO of LL has logged in *once this summer*. Shouldn't he really log in a lot more often than that? I think so...
  3. What Echo says sounds about right. It could also be that your internet connection is not quite up to the task. You can use http://www.pingtest.net/ to test the quality of the connection, and http://www.speedtest.net/ to check the speed of your connection.
  4. There is an issue with attachments to group notices, but usually you can get them loaded to your inventory by going in to group->Notices and clicking the button there. I started a jira regarding this issue a long time ago; https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-7129 Perhaps you could add a comment to it if you feel it is the same issue?
  5. Yeah, I saw Great of Roseysun to find the solution! Blender is a great tool with a dizzying array of features. I keep discovering new stuff all the time. Good luck with your animations!
  6. The thing is. You presented an issue regarding rude customers. NON-ENGLISH speaking cutomers. IN TEXT-SPEAK??? As a non-english speaker - and as you have guessed, there are many around here - I found your OP fairly incomprehensible, and reminiscent of some teenager who hate their parents and think they are all stupid and stuff. It did not invite a whole lot of serious discussion on customer treatment, I found. Further, if you present your issues this lazily, how are we to believe you when you say you treat customers differently. I have a hard time doing that. But you're right, some customers are rude. Regardless of nationality or language - as I said in my previous post. MOST are not, though, and if you find most of your customers rude, I suggest you look as objectively as you can at the way you conduct your business, and try to change what you find is the reason they fly off in your face. And this is meant as serioius advice btw.
  7. Ah, yes. You're thinking twitterkids clogging up the lines? Could be... No need to panic, and I agree - one thing at a time.
  8. Just to add a little bit to what the others have said. This sounds like a connection issue. From what you say you have tried, I would suggest checking the quality of your internet connection by running the test at http://www.pingtest.net/, and also to check your firewall settings (which I don't know how to do...)
  9. There is a chance I misunderstand your question. It is possible to have two avatars sitting on the same object in a way that they each can control their own sit animations. I don't know AvSitter so I don't know what it can do, but I have another product that I use from time to time which lets me do what I think you ask. It's an open source product called Speedy Sit. I don't know if it is developed anymore or where it can be pickecd up. It is open source, so just IM me if you want a copy. ETA. Or you can look up the creator - naofan Teardrop.
  10. You're practically non-english speaking yourself as far as I can tell. Customers, regardless of nationality and language, will come to your store. They will buy things and they will make requests. Perhaps some patience and a few lessons in customer service is in order?
  11. Hiya Val, Hippie and everyone!!! Happy weekend to all! (Sorry for the edit...) Have a nice trip to the countryside, Val!
  12. You can have both the old version and the new version of Blender installed at the same time. No need to uninstall the new version. Unfortunately, I don't know why you get an error after installing python. I thought, to be honest, that the required version of python was part of the 2.49b install. It is on the Mac, which I use. I thought it was the same on the windows version. I'm sorry to say I will not be able to help you with this error. If you google a bit, I'm sure you can find some instructions for getting it sorted out. Still, the error you get when trying to start the script I'm pretty sure is because the script is trying to load a python library, but since Blender do not think python is installed, it can't find it and load it. Is animations the reason you use Blender or do you use it for other things as well? I ask because there may be other programs (free) you can use which perhaps give less issues? Like Daz Studio?
  13. By slowing down, I assume you mean that the viewer starts 'stuttering' a bit more, things take longer to appear, it becomes a bit more of a challenge to move around? In short - Lag. And I'm thinking viewer lag specifically. The lag happens because your viewer struggles to manage everything in the location. The number of Objects and textures the complexity of these, and often the resolution of the textures. A way to deal with this, you can lower the graphics settings in me->Preferences->Graphics. Either generally, or you can adjust individual settings like draw distance (which *will* help), turning off some of the shaders (if strictly necessary). Play around with these to see if you get better performance. Hope this helps
  14. Yeah! Thanks!! I saw I had leveled up... Now, I'm going for high-score...
  15. If the rocket went straight up, you'll probably find it back at an altitude of 4096m. Otherwise - what Val said.
  16. There are two versions of PM. In the free version you can not pay other residents, but in the payed for version you can. This, as far as I know is the only difference between the two versions.
  17. Actually, before I pass out from tiredness , I have to adjust the info a bit. The bvhexporter script that give the error is not made by the Blender developers. The errors are not because of typos. The changes made to Python i Blender goes quite deep, and any script from 2.49 that is not updated will fail in the same way, pretty much. The developer of the exporter script has said, on the tentacolor site, that the script and the blend file it is embedded in will not be updated. The blend file contains a lot more than the script itself, which together makes SL compatible animatins and is useful in that respect. However... The python script itself has found its way in to Blender 2.5/6x. One of the Blender devs got a hold of it and adapted it to the new version of Blender. This script works, but the animations exported using it takes more preparations and setup than in the old script/scene. Some rotations are strange, and you can't exclude any bones (like ik control bones) from the export. I don't know how the viewers animation importer deals with any additional bones - I've never imported any animations from the new version of Blender. (I think I got most of that right... )
  18. I think they are... It's a very common error message when scripts fail. In this case I think it's because the script call an api (or many) which is no longer in Blender, or have been redifined. Not sure. The bvhexporter script is the only reason I keep Blender 2.49 around. Anything else I do in v 2.6x.
  19. In this case, with this particular script, if the OP is using Blender 2.5/6, he's not going to get any help from the blender forums. The animation exporter in question is made for v. 2.49, and will not work on 2.5/6 since Python was changed significally, and add-ons are set up very different than they used to be in the old version. That's why the op get these error messages.
  20. I think the best bet for dealing with this - aside from facelights - are windlight settings. There are some good ones in some of the third party viewers, which removes the shadows nicely. Problem with windlight settings are that you're the only one seing the effect. All other people in the sim use their own settings, and might not see things the way you do anyway. Facelights work for everybody nearby. Sometimes they even light up everybody nearby. Or they light up the entire sim... Bleaching everything out so nobody can see what they want to see... I prefer that people use windlight settings to get the lighting they want.
  21. Lots of useful info at that link, for sure. And if you like that, then you'll love some of the consoles and info in the develop menu in the viewer. Have a look... I can't say I understand what it all is, but I'm sure it can tell you a lot about the performance on your computer. - Luc -
  22. I agree. A ticket with a link to this thread? (A jira would take to long...) I don't think I can suggest anything else at this stage. - Luc -
