The new policy means that my Mailman system will no longer work. NOTE, Due to a bug in the SL delivery system, the mailman will send to all those who are online, and will then wait 30 minutes and retry any that are offline. Just leave the mailman running somewhere out of the way until it has finished. I am guessing that they will not be fixing that problem first, so items will still get lost if a delivery is made while the person is offline. Thanks a bunch LL

will it be possible in the future using this function set to check if an item sent by a vender was actually received by the customer?

just of interest, the point about deleted accounts staying on your friends list is not so for Linden accounts. When they leave it seems that the name is deleted from your list.

A serious complaint, SL does not seem to have a complaints department.

That is the whole problem, Unless it has been changed, "other" no longer exists, this has been complained about right from the time that the marketplace opened. EDIT, I have just rechecked, and there is now a box that says, "see description". this has been added since I first listed the item. The REALLY annoying thing is that the pasasage in the description was added as requested by LL when I asked how to advertise it since there was no longer an " other " box.

I have had an item, Ideal Auto Sit scripts removed because it was listed as mod / copy / trans, some of the scripts are mod / copy some are copy / trans. I had explained this in the text description, yet one complaint from a customer was enough to have the item immediately removed. I called live help, and was given the standard answer, " send in a ticket ". Is there no way to contact anyone who is actually responsible for the marketplace ??

To take your arguments to a logical conclusion, children should be banned from the internet, not allowed near a chat room, not allowed on any site that is not owned and policed by Disney. It seems that you are not actually worried so much about the children as much as the chance that they may falsely accuse someone else. If you read the guidelines of the new policy, you will see that children under 16 will be allowed ONLY on supervised sims, and older children, 16+ are adults in almost every country but the US, and are considered adult enough to make their own decisions. It is quite easy to get someone banned from SL by making false accusations of many types, the new rules do not make this any more likely in my view. Children are merely people who have not learned as much as an adult yet, they are not a dangerous breed of animal that we have to be protected from. Just a thought, you have the ability to save all chat and IMs, also, LL has a record of all chat and IMs, that can be used in an harrassment proceedings, if you are worried about the chat being in voice, then dont use it

the MAJORITY ? Where was the poll taken, there are presently aroung 56,000 people on line, and I have seen negative comments from maybe 20 or so people. I may have missed some, so I will give the benefit of doubt and say maybe 10 times that number, that is 200, out of 56,000. Hardly a majority. If you are worried about your own children being in SL, then it is up to you to supervise them. If they have a computer and go online without supervision, there are MANY worse places to go than SL.

I really do not see any problems with the way LL are doing this, it is basically exactly the same as it was , the 13 - 15 year olds will not be able to visit the main grid, and access to their grids will be limited to approved persons, therefore, EXACTLY the same as it was on the teen grid. Remember that the teen grid was still a part of the main grid, it was just segregated by access limits.
