If he says he can be naked anywhere he wants or on Moderate Land, we try to contact the parcel owner or a designsted officer of the land grouo. If we can't reach someone to eject Woody, then we should AR him. If, on the other hand, Woody tells us that someone gave him this pen!s attachment and he doesn't know how to remove it or get his clothes back on, then we should tell him how to select an outfit from the library in his inventory and use Replace to wear it. He might actually be feeling distressed because he doesn't know how to fix his wardrobe malfunction.

I think we should stop this part of the discussion on perceived age vs. ethnicity. We're all part of the human race. The concept of "race" as defining subgroups of humans is faulty. Lighter skin shows the aging effect of exposure to sunlight more, which is why white/ Caucasian people get wrinkles easier. Smoking and worrying alot can also create more wrinkles. Americans, Europeans, or "Western" people are not just white people though. If you want to use geography to define ethnicity, real Americans would be indigenous people, not the decendents of Europeans or others who came to the Americas later. European-Americans are not more American than other ethnicities. Perceived age is an intrinsically subjective value too. A person of Japanese ethnicity probably has no problem judging the age of another person of Japenese ethnicity. Someone who is less familiar with Japanese facial features is more likely to misjudge their age, however.

If one has multiple avatars, they might also identify with some more so than they do with others. I consider myself an emersive player, but I don't think my avatars are me - well, Persephone kind of is because she represents me more than the others do. On the other hand, I don't imagine that I feel things that happen to my avatar. I might feel sexually aroused by what I see in SL, but I don't feel like I'm being touched if my avatar is touched. A puppet is a pretty good way to explain an avatar, though the word "avatar" implies that at least some of our consciousness inhabits it.

OT - There's a soft pink skin on sale at Lumae that I just bought today. $L 77 for the body, $L 177 for the face (EvoX). I got the brighter pink color yesterday.

Should all the makers of mesh bodies now include a no-BOM version with modesty underwear on the skins in the HUD?

Someone on here said a child is 12 years old or younger, while a teen is 13 to 19. It might actually be good for LL to make this distinction, rather than having us assume that any avatar that looks under 18 is a child. An avatar that's supposed to be 16 can easily wear a Maitreya Lara body and skin, but an avatar that's supposed to be 10 years old probably couldn't get away with that. If LL seriously wants to impose a modesty skin on child avatars, they should better define what they mean by a "child avatar".

/me goes to look for an orange cloud avatar on MP...or maybe a baby goat, so the next time I see someone inappropriately dressed in a store I can say, "Hey, that's no way to be dressed in front of a kid!"

Arielle, it's the non-removable part that's a problem, not the modesty part. If an avatar is wearing a skin with no genitalia, maybe even with underwear as part of the skin, they can still cover that skin with a tattoo or clothing layer. The system body and nearly all mesh bodies are BOM compatible, so how would LL stop people from changing or covering their skin? They can't tag some bodies as child bodies while others are for adults, furries or robots. Mesh bodies look the same as mesh clothing to a computer program. Since we can create our own tattoo and system clothing, anyone can also slap a skin texture onto any of these layers and use it like a skin. "I'm not naked, officer. I'm just wearing a bodysuit that looks like I'm naked."

Au contraire. You can have as many lewd statues and tentacle creatures as you wish in Belli, as long as they are not visible to someone casually walking by your home. You can have them inside your house or inside a skybox, as long as your parcel is not advertised as an Adult venue or store. I little camming around Belli will reveal all kinds of Adult toys and art. 😉

No. It takes 2 people in most cases to engage in improper sexual behavior in SL, though if one avatar is engaging in self-pleasuring, then they are the one engaging in improper sexual behavior. There are bad actors who use child avatars and bad actors who use adult avatars, but in both cases there are vastly more people who would never want to engage in such behavior.

Tentacles would be appropriate decor for Halloween or in water regions (Houseboat, Fantasy, Stilt Homes). They just may not do anything sexual.

How would people like to have some Belli regions that are Adult? - This should be a new thread, so don't respond here. Just think about it.

What if you are a mer-mommy with a mer-child? Should you both be expected to wear scratchy sea shells or starfish covering your nipples? (In case it's not clear, I think topless should be allowed in Moderate regions, no matter the age or gender of one's avatar.)

That's not a problem if you turn on Parcel Privacy. If your neighbor kid then comes onto your property selling Girl Scout cookies, they are the one who needs to leave.

It's a small detail that might not be noticeable on avatars, but anthropologists can tell whether a skeleton is that of a child or an adult, and a biological male or female, by the shape of the pelvic bone. Hips on an adult female avatar should thus be a little wider vs. those on a child or male avatar.

What if the adult avatar says, "I was dressed, but my clothes hadn't rezzed yet" or "Sorry. Clothing malfunction. I was trying to change into a bathing suit." ?

Adult avatars are allowed to be naked in Moderare regions. Child avatars are not (with the new changes to the TOS).

I think it would depend on what kind of place people are in as well. If a child avatar is in a store shopping for age-appropriate clothing, a naked adult avatar would obviously be the one who's out of place. Take a picture and AR them.

Before, people worried that a naked child avatar would teleport to them and take a picture. Now child avatars have to worry that a naked adult avatar will teleport to them and take a picture.
