  1. if it's a subscriber any decent merchant should have a kiosk at their main store to easily unsubscribe from. i would start looking there. if you cannot find one send an im and tell them you couldn't find it, they should either tell you where it is or offer to remove you. if it's a group, just leave the group or turn off group notices. could also be useful to sign in to http://www.hippo-tech-sl.com/myhippogroups/ and see if anyone have added you to updates you haven't asked for. you can remove groups there and even block future attempts of unwanted subscriptions. i have
  2. yes. go to help - report abuse and in the window fill in the abusers name. 3. yes, it's happening to a lot of people right now and it's not viewer dependent. i don't know when/if a fix will come, but as far as i know they are aware of it. eta: jira link - https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/DN-202 - vote if you like Message was edited by: bee Baroque

  6. could he be ghosted? if you can get a hold of the sim manager i'd try a sim restart. that should kick the avatar ghosted or not.
  7. i don't use internet explorer myself, but you believe you can follow the steps as given by another windows 7/ie8 user here: http://blogs.secondlife.com/message/19000#19000 hope it helps
  8. most welcome, and the same to you
  9. yes, no transfer means no transfer. i am sorry you are having trouble finding transferrable items, but i can assure you they are out there. it's just a matter of finding them i'd have an extra look at the creator's profile to see if there are tips on how to gift their items there - often there is. or use the "send as gift" option on the marketplace.
  10. thank you both, ladies, for this information \o/ i suspected the wiki was outdated as i did read somewhere else the toggle fullscreen option had been removed, but i decided to trust the wiki.
  11. advanced (ctrl+alt+d) - shortcuts - toggle fullscreen. shortcut... yeah right... http://wiki.secondlife.com/w/index.php?title=File:Viewer2Tips-Navigation-Shortcuts.png&filetimestamp=20100412172330
  12. my goodness, i see this more and more - did they change any menus or something?
  13. go to view - beacons (ctrl+alt+shift+n) and make sure "sound sources" and "render beacons" are checked. this will mark any sound source with a yellow beam and hopefully this way you will find the snake like noise. eta: nmv. it's late. i am tired. the words are against me Message was edited by: bee Baroque Message was edited by: bee Baroque. yikes. stop typing, bee. 15. what error message(s) do you get when trying to launch, if any? i don't know a whole lot about mac, but if you could add a little more info i am sure some mac user may be able to help
  16. enable voice and then you should be able to uncheck the "only friends can im me". and if you want, disable voice after that.
  17. i just saw people in the phoenix viewer group experiencing this as well, and it seems to be a bug since the last rollouts last week - not viewer related - sim related. LL is aware of it. when it will be fixed, however, is not yet known. at least not to my knowledge.
  18. you're welcome, debz. i am not seeing the fancy display names, either. i am just waiting for a smack upside the head when i call someone by their username and not the display name they love sooo much

Woot!! then you woke up to a good morning i believe it has helped to some degree, but i also see that they register multiple accounts and they all take turn in posting so it still gets flooded. but it has gone down quite a bit. it's like breathing fresh air when they're not around for a day
  23. i can imagine people run into this far more often over in the gd area than in ra (or any other forums for that matter). it does get active and uhm quite heated there from time to time
  24. every viewer has an option to reset your avatar. in viewer 2 go to advanced - enable develop menu - then avatar - character test - test male/female. that should do it. now, i do not use viewer 2, so if i remembered incorrectly and this doesn't give you anything please forgive me but you also have the option to go in your library and replace outfit with "Female Shape & Outfit" - that should do the same. don't cry *hug* embrace your inner ruth
