  1. Yes, in the instance I totally agree you should lose it because it is a PP only benefit, but a regular house it not.
  2. When you are claiming a home via the ticket system with PP, you are paying for the ticket system and not for the house. You shouldn't have to abandon it if you downgrade to regular premium just like you do not lose your paid name change if you downgrade out of premium altogether.
  3. I would love a mixed theme neighborhood as well. It would feel more authentic.
  4. Yes, I renewed my yearly in April as well. My other two accounts are monthly.
  5. I am not sure how it works if I am already a yearly subscriber and want to upgrade to PP. Has anyone did that so far?
  6. I would love the current themes but on 2048 parcels. THAT might get me to upgrade to the PP.
  7. She did good! Give that hopper a new pair of shoes!
  8. I am trying to wrap my mind around all this information. Someone correct me if I am wrong (and I know someone will), but it seems to be that you can put in a ticket for an available parcel but the parcels will still be released as they usually are onto the land page. Thus, great parcels on new sims will still be nabbed up quickly and some homes will be tossed back. You can then go in and request a home that has not been nabbed yet or has been tossed back into the land page. You still run the risk someone might grab it in the old fashion rolling on the land page way and your request won't be filled. And of course there are still great 512sqm in Sakura and in Newbrooke that are buried in the pile someplace and you can request those. Am I understanding this correctly? I do like the idea of free texture uploads because I upload a lot of textures. The being able to request empty unclaimed parcels so you can be near friends is a very nice idea. I also like the idea of 2048 Linden homes in the future. The price is too high for me though, and I don't think I will take advantage of PP (I am looking at getting out of Belli again - but that feeling comes and goes), but time will tell.
  9. When there are no homes of a certain theme on the page and you drop one, it doesn't matter much where it drops in the queue. The bottom AND the top of the queue are the same because there is only one house there (maybe two - one sometimes hides). If there are a bunch on the page I rarely bother to announce it because it isn't likely to be picked up. I dropped a nice Sakura house and it lingered in the queue for days. I did manage to pick up that stilt when it was dropped. I want to be transparent about that - not that I need to be. I plucked it off the land page at the time the previous owner posted here. I got another house three times (which was hidden in the queue on Twin Anchors) and had to keep abandoning it. The one I liked lingered on the page for several minutes before I finally picked it up. I have been watching for over-land stilts for a week and tracking those regions. When I saw an over-land stilt, I would look at the map and see if any of the houses I liked were Linden Homes and if not, I did not roll. I would have seen it on the page, found it on the map and likely would have picked it up even if it had not been posted here. I’ve never had GOH’ers privately swap a house to me personally. A forumite once dropped a house for a friend of mine (not a GOH player or a forum member) when I asked here in this forum for help for her and she still has this house today. From now on I will drop things to the page quietly, because I do understand the frustration.
  10. Yah, I am thinking that from now on I will just toss stuff into the Linden page wilds. 😄
  11. If I was into houseboats, it would be a keeper for sure. I am sending it back into the queue in 10 minutes. Happy rolling! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Deep Thought/78/76/27
  12. And I came in here because I picked up this houseboat by accident (I did not mean to have houseboats highlighted). I was surprised when I got over to it. It is on a square parcel, sunset view, lighthouse right out front and trad homes on the other side. It is a super nice houseboat parcel. I held it for a day because I almost considered keeping it. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Deep Thought/78/76/27 Anyone interested in this one, let me know! Otherwise, I will drop it in the queue tomorrow 🙂
  13. I use to have the one next door and I regret every day giving it up. If you do not have anyone interested in a drop, I would love to try for it.
  14. I have an alt whose premium is ending and like a person with a true addiction, I just had to use up all her rolls before I downgraded her. Then I landed a gorgeous Vic parcel. I am not going to keep it because I really need to downgrade this alt when her premium ends soon. Pictured is the backyard view. I will release this at 4:30SLT http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bloodroot/23/214/22
  15. I just released this pretty parcel on the canal very near the community center! Good luck and happy rolling! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Nakunatta/138/218/23
  16. Make sure you choose the option to derender AND blacklist or the derender will only persist until your next login. ETA: I see you said you blacklisted so I don't know why that is happening. Glad I could help! lol
  17. That is a great tip. I didn't know this one but will be using it often!
  18. I might be in the minority here because I do not want people to be able to transfer homes. Keep it as fair as possible.
  19. Most of that was the moles. I plopped out a couple of trees, some bushes and put some wood on the front. That's it.
  20. A mole mentioned that they tried hard to make each parcel have a little something and I am finding that to be true. I rolled a landlocked lot but it is very lovely. I adore it. It has two levels of retaining wall in the front that looks amazing, walls on the side so I can not see the neighbor's homes and the back is sunken and the house in the back is on a hill and landscaped in such a way that I can only see the house's roof. It is charming from all directions.
  21. I was exploring Sakura and stumbled upon this cute corner lot and could not help but gleefully chuckle at this driveway contractor's design choice.
  22. I don't think the O.P. - or anyone else for that matter - finds the camming into houses to look at decor and get ideas as the controversial behavior. No one here has complained about that part so I am not sure why that keeps being brought up. Cam away!
