I likely won't get one, but I adore the idea and concept. Well done!

I grabbed my Ranch but I have yet to start decorating it. After flipping through the homes multiple times, and looking around, I think the Spring View will be the best fit for my style. You never really know though until you get into tossing prims around.

I am excited because a farmhouse-like theme would be a theme I would enjoy. Plus. I just get excited when a new thing is teased because Linden Homes will forever be a pull for me and a place I love being.

So this is the first time posting in a community- I've played Game of Homes so many times but have wandered back to the first of them, Traditional. I feel a bit lucky to have gotten this spot overlooking the houseboats on the water. I did have a houseboat, but ultimately I wanted a Vic or Trad on land overlooking. Will this be my last hop? I still have my alt checking for others lol, but I really am happy with this spot in Conger Reef.
Beautiful spot!

I don't usually post in here anymore, but this is a very good Sakura spot and I know someone will really want this one: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Taihu/18/88/24

This area is beyond lovely and I can't thank the Moles and the Lindens enough for Belli and great additions like this.

I am not sure where top post this. But I discovered that Chez Moi has some "Decorate my Linden Home" videos on Facebook.
I liked them. Of course it is all Chez Moi furniture, but it gave me some ideas. How I can use my furniture.
I have so little Chez Moi furniture, I wished that store had sales or events.

Chez Moi has 50% off store-wide sales from time to time. I usually go and spend entirely too much.

I was very bored with SL a few years ago. That was until I discovered Belliserria. I came in about the time the Log homes were released. I was immediately smitten with how well the whole project looked. I adored feeling like part of a community and living in a interconnected neighborhood. I truly believe Belliserris is one of the best things Linden Lab did for it's residents.
I love the feeling Belliserria gives me. I don't feel sequestered on some mainland or estate parcel where I have to wall off my area so I can avoid looking at builds that are less than pleasing. I feel like Belliserria opened up SL to me and made it an immersive place to explore. It stoked my creative fires and kept me quite occupied for a long long time.
I can no thank Linden Lab enough for Belliserria. You did well! Bravo!

I let go of my stilt a week or so ago. I thought it would hurt to pull that trigger since it was a spot I wanted badly and ticketed for. However, once it was picked up and gone, I felt nothing but relief. I then took that 1024 allowance and bought back a parcel on mainland I had sold not too long ago. I now happily live on mainland and I am there all the time now. Abandoning them is like pulling off a Band-Aid quickly. You do it and TP away.

Wow! Everyone looks so different with the same heads. They really did us up nicely with all these nice free skins and free heads.

Chill out? LOL. No one was insulting you in the least. All I was saying that if the price is 20k and I have 10k I am not going to be interested and it's a waste of time to have to go look. I did not know you could see the price by clicking the URL so thanks for pointing that out. Thank you for your kindness and your willingness to be open to suggestions.
I didn’t have issue with you comment or question at all. It irritated me when the answer for why was given there was an inference that I was forcing people to waste time or lobbying veiled insults. Thus, I get the impression no one really wanted to know the reason why but rather wanted to complain.
I’m not in the business of selling land. Maybe about every year or two I move or tier down. I sold that parcel to tier down and sold it at a loss, so I’m not really too concerned about my nonexistent land selling business that nets me a loss.
I’m not sure I’ve ever not put a price in a listing before. I wasn’t completely sure I wanted to sell this parcel so I wasn’t in a rush.

Chill out people. Geez. I am not attempting veiled insults. If you don't like that I didn't post the price, then move on to the next thread that does. It took more time to come in here and whine about it then it took to click on the URL to see the price on the map (and location etc). I have bought and sold mainland off and on for years, and price means nothing if the location is *****.

Exactly what Amnesia just said. Plus it is easy to click on the URL and see the price on the map without actually teleporting there if doing that is too much effort. I also drop prices if land does not sell quickly enough and this way I don't have to keep coming here to reflect that.
And also . . . SOLD!

Yeah, no. if they started putting a covenant on mainland that would make me want to sell my own decent chunk of mainland.
That is the trade off I suppose. A smallish covenant makes you want to move away from Mainland and the fact there is none at all and it's basically a free for all is why so many people never step foot into owning land there. You simply can not please everyone.

I think you're right. But ... I don't think this program addresses the major barriers to more people owning mainland. I truly do not think it's the price.
- Finding and buying mainland is HARD. And even once you've found it, keeping it is HARD ... tier is just weird, nothing like any RL rental payment scheme anyone has ever encountered.
- Much of mainland is ugly, even the land itself can be ugly, with textures so stretched they're just a blur with a couple repeating waves, that can't be fixed by the bulldozer. And, being completely covenant-free, if you just get your feet wet with a small parcel, one's neighbors can be an endless source of teh uglies.
THIS ^^ Nika is 100% dead on.
I own a decent chunk of mainland but I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love the freedoms I have there, but I HATE that people take advantage of it. I would be ok with a small covenant. Put skybox builds in the sky above 500 meters. Don't build walls over 5 meters high and no full bright freaking ugly privacy screens. Make the whole owning mainland process easier. Make mainland a place people would want to live and more people would live there.

I hope LL reconsiders offering 512m2 Linden homes to plus members. There are a ton of 512m2 Linden homes open in Newbrooke (as an example) and they might as well put them to good use.

I don't think anyone cares if you have more than one Belli home. I don't. There use to be a time when there were no Belli houses on the page at all and one would have to waste time refreshing the page half the day for one to pop up. Having more than one back then was a frowned upon. That is not the case anymore.

I have been looking to pick up a trad but there are not many and although they come onto the land page (for me) they tend to be the same few that get picked up and tossed back.

I had three some months ago, but my very lovely Newbrooke and Sakura were recently abandoned and now I have one.

I used the free head Lilly for the longest time and eventually gravitated toward Avalon. Last week I purchased Billie and I really like it even though it's a bit rounder and more youthful than I am use to. I used Kaya on my alt.
