If you want a floatie to sit on when you're there, it'd be better to set it up in a rezzer. Make the floatie temp and it will disappear when you stand up again.

You can't accidentally destroy anything and they're copy so you have fresh clones to experiment on in your inventory! You can explode them and keep them. You can have it all!
I would say that the thing that worked was something I'd tried before. I put the boxes and the boopies through a lot of experiments when I first got them. But as Patch confirmed it was a thing, I thought I'd give it another go and repeat the things I'd done before. It worked this time. Second Life sometimes doesn't register clicks, so try everything a few times.

I haven't managed to explode a boopie yet!Though in my attempts at such things, if you click and hold on the follower animesh, you get a menu to turn the sounds on/off.I've not seen #5 anywhere yet. The snowflake prizes are currently not gettable as the prize givers went offline yesterday, but you can still collect the snowflakes and hopefully they'll get fixed.
Edit: Oops, I have now exploded a boopie. RIP batcat.

I'd suggest visiting the Winter Wonderland. You can get a HUD and find snowflakes for prizes on your own and play snowball fight games if a few other people are around. I've seen people starting these games all day.
The shop and hop isn't really a group activity, but each shop has a free gift and it'll knock out any ideas you have that nobody is around.
There are so many winter events running right now. Autumn and winter are usually packed. It tends to be summer that's a bit quiet. Without any details on the stuff you like, it's hard to recommend other things. Your icon here means maybe scifi? In which case, I'd suggest joining the SL Sci-Fi Con group. The con proper is next year, but it'll mean you're there to be reminded.
Delete your current profile stuff and replace it with a bit about the stuff you like. Look at other people's profiles and see what groups they're in. If something seems to be relevant to your interests, join the group. They won't all work out, but you'll find new communities that way.

Boopies (toy collectables) are starting to get more complicated as there are multiple in different places this winter (and possibly one somewhere that hasn't been mentioned yet, as the highest number is #11 and only ten have been announced). So here's a summary of what's known so far and people can add any others as they're found. This is sometimes a Linden Homes topic and sometimes not, but mods can kick the thread around wherever it needs to be.

I'm a cynical person, but there isn't realistically much to gain in someone answering thread after thread of help questions on a random internet forum. That means the most likely explanation in this scenario for why someone seems to be trying to help is that they're actually trying to help. Which means they aren't going to offer advice and then quickly report someone in the hopes that there won't be time to follow the advice.
You're defending a support system that's already shown that they delete as their first action, to say that they wouldn't do that. Yet the people here are assumed to have the worst intentions without evidence. I don't need to hear your reasoning on why you do that, but it's not going to fly with me.

Unfortunately, quite often a forum is not a good place to get support issues resolved, and I wish he would have just opened up a support ticket instead.
A support ticket would have resulted in all the products being taken down, because they'd have checked them and seen the keyword spam. The point of raising the spam issue here was so the original poster could get the remaining listings fixed before anyone official checked. It's very likely that the other products were already in the queue to check, so the only way to save them was to get those keywords edited fast.
I haven't had this issue so much with the marketplace here, but I know on POD sites, I've had listings saved because someone warned others that certain keywords were getting products deleted (usually because of a weird copyright/trademark claim). The point to take away isn't that forum people are evil meanies who will report all your stuff and destroy your dreams. It's that when you're given a warning about something that breaks the rules, you've got to sort it out quickly. Realise that most other merchants are trying to help you when they explain why a product was deleted or why other products will be deleted.

Pretty often as the fantasy area in the Linden Homes has a nice cycle with the glow as well. Day cycles for EEPs can do whatever you want, so you can have one with sunrises and sunsets. What's different with EEP is it doesn't have to be a regular day. I have one with holographic grid lines and the colour changes during the day, rather than the sun/moon moving. I made one for my birthday build that was random weird skies.
To get started, you create static skies for some times of day (or pick ones from the library). For a regular day, midnight, noon, sunset and sunrise are a good starting point. Then you put those into the cycle. They act like keyframes in an animation, so the system will sort how it should look as it moves between the skies you added.

Things I'd try before asking support about it:
First: Restart your computer and reopen the viewer. If your viewer isn't the latest version, update it.
Second: Go to the marketplace website and customise the store. Doesn't need to be permanent stuff. Just throw something into the profile picture and some words, to make sure you can edit the store. Then restart your viewer again.
Third: Create a cube and pick it up. Try moving that to the marketplace folder.

Did you restart your viewer between creating the store and trying to create a listing? Your store looks new and empty, which is why I'm asking. If not, it'd be useful to see what's in the folder you're trying to list. If it contains something you can't sell, that might block it.

I don't know what they do, but I've been sent that stuff from other US companies. Waste of a piece of paper as it's not needed for anything, but it means they can tell their tax people that they sent it.

The new Victorian area had some region border changes, so somebody is poking at it. Still got a bit to go before it's all ready to go. Also, there will be a special boopie and Patch bear at the Christmas Expo (wasn't a mention of a demo region in the announcement I saw).

The welcome hub's laser tag is now an under construction something else. Looks to be numbered plots and it's a community showcase, so maybe those will be assigned to communities to decorate. It's linked by a walking bridge, so easier for newbies to get there. Could also open it up for extra hub regions, as the paths go out to the edge.
The shops there haven't changed over, I noticed. I walked past one person I think was new, but they were afk, so I think I got away with not confusing anyone this time. Apparently the official marketing doesn't mention the mushrooms.
A single dot has been moving in the SSP4500s the times I've checked. Let's hope they don't find too many broken things!

The majority of mainland regions don't have many people on them. They're low density residential and commercial. I've lived in the same spot for over ten years and any issues have been fleeting. That's why the frequent advice is that if you have no special attachment to your land, it's usually easier to move. Most places won't have the same issue.
If you do want to stay, reporting is hit or miss, but generally goes better if you can get others to also send in reports. Though often these problems end up solving themselves, because the business fails.

It's a scam. They'll sometimes use the name of something real in the hopes you might vaguely have heard of it and assume it isn't a scam. But they're not associated with the something real. The text attached to the scam doesn't matter in the end. It's just a wrapper for the scam and will keep changing. It's the fact it's either randomly IMed or spammed in groups which tells you that it's a scam.
This also applies if a friend sends you something like this or starts spamming groups. They've been hacked, so report them. That'll get their account locked down before more damage can be done. Then they can then go through the process of reclaiming it.

Fantasy Faire isn't an event that's been struggling. Declining sales mean something else was going on, though it's hard to say what without knowing what items you had at the event, how the shop was set up, and things like that. In general advice, go for a wide range of what you sell and cram in as much as is sensible. Being tasteful, matchy and only bringing new stuff will tend to mean lower sales. More and more people aren't any sort of human, so having some items that aren't rigged is useful.
There's a big masked ball at the faire and I'm surprised more clothes makers don't add a few to their range for that. The mask selection is often a bit limited.

I looked it over, but most questions were ones I couldn't answer, so I didn't fill it in. I'm more of a main event mushroom rather than a weekly events one. No to voice though. It's also nice if events clearly state if they're in voice, use text chat or some other alternative (such as a voice track being streamed).

I think this was just a terminology misunderstanding. I have many thousands of friends across social media networks... but they're not actual relationship friends. It's just what some platforms call them. So when someone comes to Second Life, they can think the friends list is meant that way rather than being a personal contact list.
Though it sounds like the original poster was looking for some actual friends too. In which case, my usual advice is going to events and joining groups related to your interests.

Question about Intruding Objects on My Mainland Parcel

In the past, that's how it worked. You could only return things with the root on your land. But people griefed with that all the time, so we were given the option to return things that overlapped. I usually ignore small skybox overlaps at heights I'm not using. I did return the giant sky sphere a not-really-neighbour put up at a height I was using. They were not actually next to me, but the sphere was so huge it went over multiple parcels.
There are times it won't work, like the object being on another region. You have to still report those.
