  1. If anyone has a premium plus account and is looking for a fantasy tree house with a marvelous location/view, check out http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Pippins Paradise/151/130/21 The front yard has the view of a lake with a double waterfall and a scenic bridge.
  2. I have just released a new blog that talks about decorating the tree house exterior and the land below it. This article goes into a lot of how-to detail, and it includes a script to make a door that moves you from the ground to the tree house porch. I think it is one of my better articles and I hope you like it: https://lastditch.typepad.com/belli_parade_of_homes/2023/11/fantasy-tree-houses-part-3.html
  3. Here is part 3 (of 4) in the series on decorating the new Tree Houses. This one focuses on the outside: PoH: Fantasy Tree Houses Part 3 – Decorating the Exterior https://lastditch.typepad.com/belli_parade_of_homes/2023/11/fantasy-tree-houses-part-3.html This article looks decorating the exterior of your tree house – both the outside of the house itself and it also looks at decorating the ground. It shows some of what you can accomplish with an exterior shell and also gives hints for both fantasy and classical wildflower landscaping.
  4. The original land page is connected to the dashboard. The new land page is at the link Rowan supplied in the post above mine.
  5. another large batch was just released .. over 180 of them at this moment on the land page... I am guessing they will sell out in 1 or 2 weeks but they are available for anyone who wants one right now
  6. Ranch Homes are available again... just released.
  7. And Another New article... New Parade of Homes Article - Fantasy Tree Houses Part 2 https://lastditch.typepad.com/belli_parade_of_homes/2023/11/fantasy-treehouses-part-2.html This article looks at one resident’s excellent furnishing of the Fairyspell Tree House, and share a few of the decorator tips she used to make her place look cozy and inviting. It shares several pictures of her tree house interior.
  8. Good News for everyone who has been frustrated by the inaccessibility of the ranch homes... 16 new regions have appeared on the map and the moles are doing the quality checks on them... it wont be long now! However, I recommend that when they do open up, you grab yours quickly. The last time they released 11 regions, they were sold out in less than 2 weeks.
  9. so sorry... that one is my fault. I referred to you as "she" in my post. Apologies for getting that wrong.
  10. wow love that picture. Nice use of black and white. When I first saw it, I wondered if it was statues or avatars I was looking at. The picture is very captivating. Well done. Speaking of Merrymount -- there is a BBB sponsored passport stamp collecting tour there on Saturday Nov 11 at 10 AM. There are 6 limited edition passport stamps added there for this tour... It starts at BBB Headquarters... I think you will find it a lot of fun if you want to come back for that!
  11. Words Hurt. I find sometimes people on forums are extremely critical of LL and the moles. They forget that they are real people behind those keyboards, who are working hard to make SL a nicer place, to provide more Belli homes, etc. I haven't discussed this with any moles or Lindens, but I know from my own experience that when I get demoralized on something, I work slower than when I am excited and enthusiastic about it. I am guessing that could apply to the real people who do the mole work. They do their jobs, and they do the best they can at them... but when a few vocal residents loudly and repeatedly criticize their work and assign bad motives to them, it has got to be discouraging. I understand that people are upset because the demand for 2048 homes exceeds the supply. I get it! And I understand that people want to express their upset/disappointment at not being able to get something they think they have paid for due to limited availability. BUT is it really necessary to express it OVER and OVER and OVER in a hostile attacking way?
  12. I dont agree with all of ProKofy's views -- heck I dont agree with a lot of them.... But I have to say this for him... he is VERY good at his land management and makes his properties a pleasant place. I purchased a parcel adjoining his property along a sea. The area was clean and looked nice -- and did not have all that awful low-hanging clutter and eyesores. He was good neighbor to live next to. He maintains open waterways for anyone to use at his own expense. I got to know some of my neighbors and they were all tenants of his-- and they all loved prokofy as a landlord. They told me that he is very fair and takes great care of his tenants. I think prokofy's property management adds value second life.
  13. I have gotten around the increase in tier when you barely cross a tier boundary by using a premium alt to contribute their 1024 allowance to group-owned land. That covers little "overages" in the tier pricing. For example, say you own 8192 sqM and you want to add another 1024 sqM to your collection. You can get an annual premium for $99 USD, which works out to be $8.25 per month. You can pay $39.25 ($31+$8.25) a month, which is a lot cheaper than paying $60. I think we should be grateful that LL allows for group-owned land -- and they even give us a 10% bonus for using that feature. To be honest, I don't think LL is being unfair to us with their tier pricing. In fact, they have reduced land fees quite a bit over the past few years. When I first got my private region, it was something like a $1,000 setup fee plus $349 a month tier, and it had a much smaller LI allowance. Now the monthly tier is $209 and the initial setup fee is much lower than it used to be. Tier pricing has come down a LOT and the LI allowance for each tier has gone up a lot. It seems to me that Land Tier is one area where LL has been bending over backward to make it more affordable for us. (Just dont get me started on the increased fees for buying/selling $L... that is another story.)
  14. I have that cheeseboard and it is one of my favorites! If you don't already have that one, it is worth getting! But it is not the first time it has been on sale, so check your inventory before buying it.
  15. As long as we are wish-listing new developments... I would love a tropical/beachlike 2048 home where 1/2 of each parcel is water and 1/2 of it is sandy beaches with some beach-appropriate style of homes. I am not holding my breath for that one, but I would LOVE IT if LL developed that. .
  16. The Lab has set up the BelliDemo region now. I am pretty sure any new themes would be "revealed" there as a single residence, as they did with the Ranch release.
  17. And Another New article... New Parade of Homes Article - Fantasy Tree Houses Part 1 https://lastditch.typepad.com/belli_parade_of_homes/2023/11/fantasy-treehouses-part-1.html This article looks at the brand new Fantasy Tree Houses and gives some hints for how to furnish then, including a step by step process. It also includes several pictures of a decorated the Pixiebrooke tree house interior.
  18. I am not sure what a "fantasy" kitchen is tbh. I just used this Brocante one. It will be cute when I add the kitchen knickknacks and food stuff.
  19. If you do decide to copy the effect, could you also offer a version that doesnt copy it? Most people probably love that effect, but a few of us, myself included, dont love that effect and would be happy to have a shell that hides it. While you are at it, would you consider a shell for the tree that makes it possible for us to use a nicer bark texture on the tree trunk/branches? Thanks much.
  20. I am starting to reconsider. While I strongly prefer the interior of the Pixie, it turns out the Fairy models have a back porch for another view, and have less bundles of leafs at "eye level" when on the porch.. in short you get much better views with the Fairy than with the Pixie. So the decision between the two models becomes a tradeoff between view or interior layout. Now I am torn.. I like the PixieBrook best for furnishing, but I like either of the Fairy models for 1) view from the porch and balcony, and for view from inside of the house looking out.
  21. Personally I like the two pixie models but I dont like the angel ones.... Pixie is a very usable size/shape for me. Angel has the tree going through the house, which some fantasy faithfuls may love, but I personally prefer the tree on the outside. Pixie is a single story, but Angel has a spiral staircase going up to a loft... again, I am a one-story kinda gal and I usually struggle to get up spiral staircases. I cant believe how beautifully the yard opens up to enjoy the surrounding landscaping on the three houses. You can really do a Lot with your yard if you use a tree house style home. It is great that they included both open and regular models of TWO styles of homes for the treehouse. I imagine there are people who love the angel and the one I like (the pixie) doesn't appeal to them... so it is great that we have a choice.
  22. sweet, if you have purchased casperlet, they have a support group where you can ask questions. If you did not get an invite to that group with purchase, IM casperhelp (uri secondlife:///app/agent/828f7198-42e5-41b4-bd60-926a33ea067b/about) and ask for an invite to teh group. They also have a manual for new users at: https://wiki.casperdns.com/index.php/CasperLet/Quick_Start
  23. The covenant is for the benefit of the "majority" of people who want to live in bellisseria. There are parts of it that are restrictive to some, but welcome to others. I had to give up my beloved plantpets when I moved here because they are temprez... but I did not miss them for long. Personally I love living in Belli and I am glad there is a covenant that prevents people from making their yards into out-of-theme "eyesores" with low hanging skyboxes, etc. Overall, I think the covenant benefits most residents. But, it is not helpful for breeders or for people who want to sell things. It is not helpful to people who want a "style" of landscaping that is non-theme. (What is beautiful to some is an eyesore to others.) It is not helpful for people who want to protect their privacy with 0-second security orbs, etc. I think that is why LL gives premium members the option of using their 1024 sqM land allowance on mainland (tier free, covenant free, but they still have to buy the mainland) or in Bellisseria (where they have to adhere to the covenant.)
  24. here is a recommendation... if you get an IM from someone that your bucket needs to be rerezzed, after you rerez it, reply to them and include the slurl to bring them back to the bucket. That way those who were kind enough to let you know there is a problem can find your bucket easily.
