  2. I heard that the basic plan is to have the servers bake things and then serve them to the viewers. What viewers are ready to do this?

  6. Thank you everyone who responded. It turns out the singer felt that the comment implied "dogs are better singers than you."

If they sounded like they were in good spirits and just chuckling because the dog piped in, then there is no insult there at all. Interesting. I should clarify that it was text chat, not voice. In general no one gets on voice while someone is singing.

But given the context that the dog was barking during the singing, I really wouldn't find it offensive. Some dogs actually DO "sing along" when their owners are singing, or to particular songs when they hear them. I would take it as a slightly off-color joke, rather than an offensive comment. So you're saying the singer is being called a dog due to context?
  9. This isn't about me. It's about another AV. Situation: They went to a karaoke place. Someone is singing. While that person is singing their dog barks. This other AV says in local text chat something very close to "Dogs are generally good singers." Question: Using a scale of 0 to 10 with 0 being totally non offensive/rude and 10 being the ultimate in offensive/rude. Please give your rating of the chat statement "Dogs are generally good singers." If you can expand on your ratings it would be most helpful. I have the other AVs permission to re-post something close to
  10. Removing followers went viral and brought the whole thing down?

  12. Unfortunately you (by you I mean the script) can't rename a notecard once you receive it. So if a duplicate name comes in the system is going to add to the name to make it unique. A work around is for the sending object to send a preparation message (hey, get rid of the config notecard because I'm about to send a new one.) Wait a bit (or wait for a confirming response message.) Then send the new config notecard.
  13. Maybe someone has asked before. I did a search and didn't find it. When I edit a script with the viewer 2 I can't see some of the script. Like the initial "{" and the ending "}" don't show up when I insert a new script. Needless to say that makes it hard to see what's going on. I suppose I'm not the first to notice this so I wonder why something so simple and basic is not working. Here's a photo if I can do it: LOL - that's almost useless Here's my excessive information capture: Second Life 2.7.1 (232828) Jun 13 2011 17:32:54 (Second Life Release) Release Notes You
  14. That's helpful information. Thanks. Maybe soon a Linden will post one of those sticky things that stay at the top telling ppl that they have to use that development viewer (Just in case they didn't stay current reading the meeting notes from the last 6 months.) I noticed that the Sketchup items in the wiki are mostly an empty outline. I guess that isn't working. ....LOL... I got lost looking for the right version 1st time, used your link 2nd time and mesh is back. now if I can figure out the revised UI and get my preferences set (since CTRL-P doesn't work)... stupid BASIC mode
