  1. Where are you from? - Архангельск, which is pronounced "Arkhangel'sk" in northern Arkhangelskaya Province, Russia. When did you join SL originally? - 2005 What have you mainly spent your time doing in SL in the past? - Aviation, various mapping projects and construction of my varied residential spaces over the years. I have also used Second Life to make friends in various countries. Some of which I have been fortunate enough to meet. How are you planning to spend your time in SL in 2013? - If 2013 is much like 2012 was, I most likely will spend little time in Second Life. When I am online I can usually be found at the location of my home or becoming cumbersome to the LDPW staff for road issues :matte-motes-big-grin-wink:
  2. Madeliefste Oh wrote: The original slogan was "Your world, your imagination". And it had a subtext that you could OWN a part of this world. Thank you for the correction in the slogan. At the time things were very poorly translated, if translated at all so many things were incorrectly phrased from my recollection. I do not know if I would be considered an "early adopter" as I did not come along until 2005. However, I do still remember the same enthusiasim you mentioned. I have owned land, at many times large areas of land, for the entire time I have been in Second Life. Lately it has been more of an obligation to log-in and maintain it rather than a joy. I do very much like your new slogan!! "Our world, your donation" I think I will use that if I may. ^V^
  3. The first time I saw this advertisement was today. It is of little consequence its self, however people who do choose to spend their money on such an endeavor should be warned that most products created by Linden Labs are eventually doomed to catastrophe. The slogan of "Patterns" is "It's your universe to shape." This is very similar to Second Life's original slogan "Your life - your imagination." which has been long since abandoned. To be replaced now with the more functional phrase of "Good luck using our software! It has many flaws, even after a decade of development. If you encounter difficulties? We no longer have sufficient staff to care!"
  4. Unfortunately, the "fix" that resolved the issue of antialiasing in macs renders this beta, as well as releases 2.4, 2.3 entirely unusable by people with Mac OSX 10.4 If it was your intention to stop supporting this operating system it would have been more appropriate to state that. Do not create a "repair" then never work to resolve the things your "repairs" have broken. This has happened so many times in SL... So many times...
  5. Hmm. Winterfest has been reduced greatly in length this year (doesn't even last through Christmas) and it has been outsourced to a collection of non-linden community partnership regions devoted to hockey with little unoccupied space. The Winter Festival... Or is it Wintersfaire... or is it Winterfest? Sure isn't what it used to be when it was hosted in Zermatt, Wengen, Voss, etc.
  6. Yes, very winter-like. I begin adding Christmas lights to my many many eves and gutters later today... Well, perhaps tomorrow...
  7. I always enjoy the Winter Festival! I hope this year the traditional Winter Festival event grounds around Chalet Linden will not be forgotten. They were sadly empty last year.
