  1. Hm, I see... Well that's definitely odd, I'm not sure what it could be then, is it not working at all for you? Such as, not working in local chat, but working in IMs / Group chat, as an example, or it just doesn't work anywhere you use it? I just want to get to narrow down possibilities of what it might or might not be, either way, I'm sure Linden Labs will fix the issue(s) eventually, but as someone else said in the Answers, you'd probably be best off going with a third-party viewer such as Phoenix or Firestorm, as far as I'm aware, they're having no issues with the command.
  2. Yeah, then it appears that this is an issue that can be turned into a Jira case, by all means feel free to make one, as this is limiting the graphic enthusiasts users of SecondLife.
  3. Well, we both seem to be using Radeon HD Graphics, however I'm using an AMD Processor, but I do believe this may be a Jira case, if ATI hasn't provided any updates for either of us, then it is possibly the update leaving us out, as I've seen this happen in the past with another client, similar to SecondLife, where they made an update and only included NVIDIA GeForce graphics to be listed under the supported hardware, leaving out ATI Graphics, but they fixed it after realising it, I just hope it's the same as here. EDIT: Shot in the dark, but have you recently reformatted or reset your computer to factory defaults? Just so I can narrow this whole thing down, as I had recently done so, and noticed just now that I don't have DirectX 11 installed, which I'm about to go do now, to see if this may be an issue.
  4. Your best bet would be to search up on marketplace.secondlife.com under Apparel > Women's, or searching for Female Fashion, with all maturity levels enabled, if you're up to do some hard ground searching, otherwise, try and narrow it down by reading through the entire blog or website page you grabbed the picture from, incase it leaves a little hint of who the creator is. Or, shot in the dark here, if the person who posted the image in the blog / website's SecondLife name is on display, try getting in direct contact with them and asking them where that dress is from.
  5. Yeah, I personally don't buy the whole "We spent thousand of dollars on SL and we all got banned" bit, myself, but who knows, the guy might just have poor English, it's not my place to judge whether he's telling the truth or not. But yeah, if you were banned over a year ago, then it couldn't of just been for no reason at all, if your account was disabled then maybe that'd be a different story, but it could be many reasons, whether you have violated the Terms of Service or Linden Labs put your account on hold, followed by an email which you never followed up on, such as, if your account has been temporarily disabled for not being able to pay for your premium membership and not doing anything about it, leaving it for a long period of time. However, if your accounts were banned over a year ago, there's nothing you can do now, as Linden Labs cleans up accounts that have been banned and remove them from the database after a certain amount of time, which makes it unable for the account(s) to be retrieved, so you'd be better off just starting off clean, and make sure you aren't doing anything that violated the ToS or Copyright Law.
  6. I haven't really thought about it, but, just judging by looks, my avatar looks around 18 - 20, or somewhere around there, however, appearances can be deceiving, as I'm 22, and I look around 18 - 20 myself, so who knows!
  7. Yep, I have the exact same problem, I had to turn off Lighting & Shadows just to be able to see again, but I haven't turned off hardware skinning as that would just ultimately make SecondLife look like a pile of crap, to my eyes, I don't think it's an issue with anyone's graphic drivers and if they are up-to-date or not, I think that it's just something that has gone wrong on Linden Lab's side while they were releasing the updated viewer. I do hope that it gets fixed ASAP, though, as it really is bothersome without shadows, besides, they're going to have to get around to doing something about it anyway, as there's going to be a lot of complaining going on for those that have their hardware set to take photos for blogs or those that record machinima's and require 100% in the look of all things. But on that note, just to make sure, what graphics card are you using? Same goes for other people, so we can determine whether or not it is an issue on their side or our side, because if it's multiple brands of graphics cards, then it's not something on our end, and there's nothing we can do about it, really, except wait or use a third-party viewer such as Phoenix or Firestorm. (Current Graphics Hardware: ATI Radeon HD4800 Graphics)
  8. 'Ello from Britain, my name from the real world is Jamie. :matte-motes-nerdy:
  9. Yeah, I thought it wasn't something to do on my end, I too am using Google Chrome, but after leaving it for a good couple of hours the marketplace seems to of stabilized again. Thanks for the feedback!
  10. Yeah, I tried various web browsers, including the Media Browser within SecondLife, cleared my browser caches and restarted my router, but it seems it's only marketplace that seems to be bugging out on me, even my Linux is having issues connecting to marketplace.secondlife.com through its web-browsers, I guess I just have to wait and see if it gets any better.
  11. I'm not sure if they are, but I believe some people in the region Gibson may be renting out land, and they're near some pretty active hubs, but you would have to speak to Doc Highwater for more information, if you're lucky enough to catch him. I myself haven't been to gibson lately, so I'm not sure what they're doing, but I'm sure Doc can fill you in, if not, then try the region: Rasta Tai, by contacting Taisha Lemon, as that is where I am currently located and there is quite a lot of activity here, as they recently introduced a club and such, however it is mostly a homosexual community for females, which is why it wouldn't be my first choice to introduce people to, just incase they're not interested in that kind of area.
  12. Darn, where were you when our store ITOKI was going down under!? I would of totally sold you our inventory, just so that I could see people walking around with ITOKI Branded items... Oh well, that was a long time ago and hopefully we'll be back in business one day!
  13. So far I have found the ATI Radeon HD4800 series to be my favourite when it comes to rendering mesh, but that's just from personal use, I'm not too sure what the BEST card would be.
  14. It would be polite, yes, but some people would rather just go without knowing, and the owner of the land would rather not have to explain why they banned them, so on so forth, it's just something they don't think is necessary.
  15. I myself haven't had this yet, but I know of a few people that have been banned for no reason, whether it being because they're using duplicate IPs as they login to the client, or just technical issues with their account. I'm not sure what Linden Labs are doing to be banning people with no reason, but the best way to really get their attention on the issue is to contact them via-Support Tickers, although as I've seen, there have been various issues with using the Support Ticket feature and so you just have to take a leap of faith. However, come to think of it, I do believe that one of my accounts from about 2006-2007 was suddenly disabled and I never received an email about why. Hopefully they'll get around to sorting out their issues, but I believe there is somewhat of an automated process. Hope you get your account(s) back.
  16. I am having no such issues with my /me commands in Viewer 2 of SecondLife. Could you explain more?
  17. Hm, strange, it just doesn't seem to like me today then, I guess. Thanks for the response.
  18. Personally, if it were me, I'd rather not find out, because that way I won't be saying in my mind "What the hell did I do to deserve to be banned? Is this person a jerk?" and cause unnecessary drama, best just move on without knowing, really.
  19. Is there an issue with the marketplace? Because all of the items are showing up as broken images. I'm fairly sure that it isn't a problem on my end, as every other website appears to be working perfectly fine, but I wanna know if anyone else is having issues with marketplace.secondlife.com, so that I can determine whether I should just sit and wait or do something to go about fixing it. Thanks in Advance!
  20. That is a damn fine nice car.
  21. Usually, whenever I make a new profile picture for either myself or my friends, I open up PhotoFiltre or PhotoShop and make an image that goes by 165width by 123height in pixels, as that's the actual size of the profile picture for classic styled profiles. However, now with the new profile pictures, viewed through my.secondlife.com, it's best to enhance your images size such as making the base image 500width by 373height in pixels and then putting whatever you want into it, and then when you do upload it, it'll be nice and big for new style profiles, for when people click on the image and it zooms into it, and it's nice for people that use Viewer 1 based clients, with the classic profile system, as it'd be perfectly lined up with the axis of the image constraints. And not once have I had issues with Phoenix taking the image from the Viewer 2 profiles and pasting it in a Viewer 1 profile. But, that's just me, and my way of getting a close-to-perfect profile picture to suit all viewers, as I tend to use multiple viewers for various things and I would hate it if something didn't look right on one viewer, but fine on the others.
  22. Okay, so last night I had rezzed a building in Plum's Sandbox, which I had been messing around with and trying to improve it for my needs, but something came up else where, so I had to log out and leave everything as it was, as I was only going to be gone say, 10 - 20 minutes. Once I logged back in, I found my avatar falling, as everything I had placed down no more than an hour ago had vanished entirely, with no trace of it in my inventory, in lost and found or in trash. The thing is, the building I had was non-copyable, I contacted the merchant who originally supplied the building, but as of yet I've had no response, so I'm trying to figure out what's happened, and if I can get a Linden to do some sort of rollback on my account so that I can get such items back, if not, then I just want to figure out what's happened, so that I can prevent it from happening in future. Now, the sandbox I regularly use is situated next to a welcome area, named Plum, I've had no issues with using the resources the sandbox provides, and the return time is supposely 3 hours, however I've seen things placed in the same spot for much longer, so there's a little bit of a glitch with the returning of objects. But, I wasn't ever expecting that there would be a problem with keeping objects there and having them completely removed from the database which leaves you empty handed. I want to know if anyone else is experiencing such issues, or if it's just sheer bad luck on my part... And if others are experiencing it, then how are they coping with it? I just find it strange how EVERYTHING I had placed down no more than 20 minutes of me departing to attend to reality would of vanished by the time I came back, another issue I've had is: As far as I'm aware, and the merchant has stated, the building was Modifyable, Copyable but non-transferable, however the item had also vanished from the box it came from, so I'm starting to question if it was or not. Or perhaps, if there's such a script that exists for it to activate on user's log out and erase every object which came with it, and if that's the case, then that would be strictly illegal, would it not? As it'd be classed as fraud / scamming. Anyway, I just want to fix this issue, but because this site has changed so much and I can't seem to find the good old 'Ticket a Support' feature, I'm just having to rely on the community and hope that a Linden will view this, as I strongly believe there's an issue with my inventory, as I had to submit a ticket about a year ago, pretty much with the concern of a similar subject, where items were suddenly vanishing and clearing the cache wouldn't work at all. Which brings me to another question: Does the inventory cap to the point if there's too many items that they begin to delete themselves from the database? But I strongly believe that I'm asking too much now, and I'm sure not many people like reading huge blocks of text, so I'll leave my question as it stands, I just hope I can get some answers into why I am having such issues lately. ____________________ EDIT: The items were supposed to be copyable, but they had acted as if they were Non-Copy, which is why I found it even stranger that the items would just vanish from the database. I am aware of such issues concerning placing non-copy items down and then leaving, I have been around long enough to know how and how not to build, it's just there's been so many technical issues as of late, mostly revolving around my inventory that I'm starting to think it's because my inventory is too full. Thank you for all your comments so far guys, I'm still coming up to no conclusions on why there is no trace of the mentioned items, so I'm just going to hold onto the re-purchased item I bought and see if the seller will contact me in the future, hoping that history doesn't repeat itself again. But I was highly unaware of there being any notices or warnings about there being grid-wide issues, whether it just didn't catch my eye when loading Viewer 2, or if they even published it on the client screen at all, but I'm just holding that responsible until I can come up with a logical explanation other than "Linden Labs......" I've also been keeping track of how many items there are in my inventory as of late, and the total seems to be getting lower and lower, even if I do open the entire inventory up, whether that's by expanding it via-Phoenix / Emerald so that the assets can load quicker, or through typing a single letter in, for it to scan through items and load them that way. -- And it always seems to get lower, every time I clear my cache / inventory cache. For example: I recall about a week ago I had just around 291,000 items, now it's gone down to 230,000 items, but of course, out of that total, it's hard to tell what exactly is vanishing, but at first I was led to believe it was only very rarely touched items would mysteriously get lost in the midths of the database, but now I'm starting to think it doesn't matter whether you have just recently obtained it or got it years and years ago. But in all honesty, I've been with SL for 5 - 6 years now, and this is my third account, and I have never had quite so many issues with an account, this has just been constantly messing up, I think I must of picked a very unlucky name for this one, eh? P.S: Sorry again for the wall of text for the edit, I just don't like keeping things short when it's something that bugs me and I have no idea on why such things occur with no cause or movement behind it.
  23. Cheers! I'll look into it. PS: Sorry guys! I just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum parent, after I couldn't find it in the other categories.
  24. Hey Guys, a few days ago I noticed someone was riding around with a highly detailed sculptie version of the Ferris Fenrir from the well known Final Fantasy series... It was scripted, sculpted and is something I truly wanted to get, however after countless hours of searching the marketplace and various stores that sell fan-builds, I've had no luck in finding it. So, my only other option is to see if anyone that uses the forums regularly know the creator or any stores that sell a high detailed version of the motorcycle. I did check the creator's profile when I first saw it, but couldn't remember the creator's name the next day, I should of written it down somewhere, but things happen! __________ An image of the said vehicle can be found here: http://www.gods-inc.de/macavity/IsleOfShadows/vehicles/ferris-fenrir.jpg Thanks in Advance!
  25. Yeah, I've had camera constraints disabled for as long as I can remember, and I have used Phoenix (Firestorm) in the past for editing, before that, Emerald, but these issues have only started to occur in the past few months, where they've begun to become more and more frequent, even with things enabled and disabled. But I'll check preferences on Viewer 2 for auto-camera movement, and see if that was the case, if I haven't already checked them. Thanks, though.
