  1. A friend of mine is a Second Life DJ and wanted to post his upcoming set on the Second Life Events Calendar. While completing the form, he noticed that the venue where he was going to be spinning wasn't listed. He was told that you have to own the parcel for which you are promoting any event. Understand that the person posting the calendar event has to pay for it, so why would there be a restriction on who can post. If anyone can answer this question, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
  2. I did a Google search and found an article from 2015 stating that SLGo, operated by OnLive, was discontinued at the end of April when the company was acquired by Sony.
  3. Personally, I believe that a lot of places become popular simply by word of mouth. If you can create an inviting environment where you and your friends hangout and have a great time, then it is likely that those friends will start telling their friends about your sim and invite them to visit. I also think it is a good idea to promote your sim via social media. If you have a Facebook account for your avatar, then that's good place to start. Again, be patient and always stay focused on creating something that you and your friend like. Don't worry about that the competition is doing. Good luck.
  4. I hope someone can help me. I recently became friends with a great from from France. He speaks very little English, so SL can be somewhat challenging for him at times. During a talk, he told me that hasn't really been enjoying his SL experience because he is having to struggle to learn even the most basic stuff like saving your avatar's shape, because all the information is written in English. I would like to think that there is some place where he can go to get basic SL information in French. If you have any suggestions, I know that my friend would appreciate that very much. Thank you in advance for your help. ~Theo
