It's a rant (although technically saying goodbye as a mainland landowner)

After over 10 years of owning Mainland, at its peak 2 sims worth and a castle estate covering most of that, I finally sold off my last quarter sim parcel yesterday. Thought it deserved a little bit of comment so: 1/ Tier is far too expensive and not sustainable long term if you have RL commitments (mortgage, kids, car, clothes, food). The recent reductions announced, in my opinion, don't even make a dent in this assertion and won't make people come back in droves from Open worlds where costs are a fraction (if it had been more of a reduction I might have kept a presence going a bit longer). 2/ Land bots and land flipping are alive and well! I thought this was all banned years ago along with hovering for sale signs and networked advertising boards, but evidently not? 3/ Still haven't lost faith with Second Life as an idea (and still maintain a private region for my Uni department) but Linden Labs not doing themselves any favours with pricing, and haven't done for a long time. Rant over!

All land now between 0.6 and 0.8 lindens per square meter, getting desperate to offload it! A bargain. Would rather someone got a good deal than abandon to LL for them to make money from auction

Parcel prices now down to between L$1.2 and L$2.2 per square metre! Surely too good an opportunity to miss, great parcels in historic Sansara continent.

Due to change in RL circumstances reluctantly considering selling off full grandfathered sim in Sansara continent in next 3/4 weeks (with connected land with road access in neighboring sim either with or separately). I have had same message recently, running official viewer, definitely not Firestorm bridge, is a piece of clothing that is supposed to attach to myleft shoulder. *edit* my bad, I was having message for both an item of clothing (eventually fixed) and turns out on investigation also an old Firestorm bridge!!!

Firefox refused to let me enter an email into the required email box (the page was formatted so the "terms and conditions" blurb was over the box). Worked fine with IE8. Logged in from UK.
